  1. Those old freight doors are just lovely. Are they still in production? I do prefer them opposed to the new-style doors from i.e. set 4564. Are the ramp and platform brickbuilt or are these the platform pieces used in the older train station and harbor sets?
  2. Very nice layout. Hmmm, is that a 9V controller on picture number 6? Are your trains 9V, PF or mixed?
  3. @Rotundus Interesting. I don't think their database got hacked, no spam e-mails from EB on my side. I think someone is using faux sender information (header forging), to make those emails look like they have been send from EB.
  4. He said already that he did use clone parts, indeed. I can't find any words for that massive amount of bricks in boat-form :D The sheer size of that American warship...
  5. Or simply refresh. Hitting F5 once resolves it for me.
  6. Dude, it's nice to have a new member aboard ... but massively promoting your YouTube-Channel like you do is a no-go for me. Anyhow, welcome!
  7. Whoa... this thing is HUGE! Very nice detailing, very true to the original.
  8. It's happening here as well, but quite intermittently. Sometimes I get a grey page, sometimes it works. No way to nail down the cause for me... Using FF latest version, no addons.
  9. Thank you! Too bad we didn't take any photos after finishing. We've put a broad deco tape around the cake, spiced it up with some nice deco flowers and wrapped it all up in cellophane. The top "diorama" or how you want to call it has been made in quite a hurry (the rest of the Cake took way too long), I can think of a couple modifications that might make it a bit more impressive like alternating the black bricks with a few dark greys here and there.
  10. OMG this thing is huge Go on and lift the "curtains" !!!
  11. Hey there and welcome aboard!
  12. Yeah, like others said: Oldschool! I like it. May favourites are parts and sets from the 80ies and 90ies, so this pretty much hits my sweet spot. Cool MOC and nice use of the BURPs
  13. Well... need to get my curiosity under control... but yes, klammsteiner.net works of course. Have seen the pictures there yesterday, didn't bother to upload because of the some reason @tkatt stated.
  14. Hey there! My girlfriend hat a wonderful idea for a friends Wedding: Make a cake out of cake-slices made out of cardboard. Then put some homemade and some bought presents in it, reserve the other half for money presents. And to get a nice finish, you need a decoration on top of that cardboard-wedding-cake for sure, that's where I came into play (and for that one cake-slice with the angry Scotsman, too). As groom and bride are dedicated to medieval reenactment, Game of Thrones and Black / Goth Metal, the setting was quite clear. Well, see for yourself how this worked out:
  15. 35, just picked up Lego again 5 months ago Hell, I wonder how many ppl are brought back to Lego by their kids every year. And a warm Hello and Welcome to DwarfiSpie (and MangaNOID off course, too)
  16. How does the bottom mounted IR receiver work out? Does it work flawlessly or do you have to keep the remote a bit lower for it to work? Quite a nifty idea to hide that ugly receiver window. Nevermind... this has been answered before, Thanks LT12V. Maybe I should refresh the page before commenting
  17. Guess LBG relates to "Light Blueish Gray". @LegoSjaak I guess there is already a place reserved where to put this beauty?
  18. Sleek train and an interesting design for the pantographs. I like it
  19. Hey there and welcome!
  20. This is plain awesome. The snotting on the bus stop looks incredible (up-side down seat!) and the new trees are very very nice
  21. There has been one advice, pointed out somewhere here on EB, which is Rule No. 1 to me: --- NEVER buy a set you don't like just for the sake of selling it later on. Whoever it was to give that advice, Kudos to you! Because if that set you buy drops in price instead of a rise, you have some crap set sitting on your shelf you don't like and nobody else wants... If you like it, you can at least keep it and have fun with it.
  22. Jepp, very nice, like the Halloween banner too
  23. The light gray pieces are rising in price. Like Dan said, this colour has been abandoned by Lego somewhen in the past. That means supply of new parts is nearly non-existent and supply of used parts is drying up. The roof pieces are somewhere between 2,50 to 5,00 Euros a piece... the base for the Double Stack Container waggon is even worth around 7,00 to 12,00 Euros! The rubber band for the truck can be substituted easily by normal rubber bands from your local super market. Looking forward to the next update PS: Äpfel mit Biss aus der Mark, sehr lecker !!!
  24. Too bad you didn't get it through. I'm on the boat next time, I promise. Even if that means I have to order "remotely" through a friend. Are the 9V ME-tracks feasible anyway? I thought they broke compatibility with the Lego 9V tracks, or am I wrong on this?
  25. Ah, how nice! I have rebuilt a blue hopper wagon in red, just like the one in your last picture above, too The "Austrian Crocodile" in Blue is also very nice. Plenty of space for your layout, I like it!
