Wouldn't you be grumpy too, if you had to get dirty and shovel coal the whole day? How is that transparent crocodile sticker made? Just a transparent sticky foil? Is it selfmade at all?

No wonder the train operator has a happy smile on his face, this engine is just gorgeous

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Capparezza replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I wonder: How can a car be counted as an epoch-reference? I can place a 1920s Mercedes in front of a building erected last year. Doesn't make the building older... So in this set the car can be an oldtimer as well. It even says "classic-style limousine" in Legos store description. If you really need to nail down the epoch, better take a look at the clothing of the included minifgs... -
I'd be interested in that too. Those would be my nearest Lego Stores, close to 2 hours a drive.

Hey there and welcome :)

Uhhh, looks cozy. Can I come over for a timeout?

Evolution of the legendary Lego set 1952 from 1989 - Classic Town theme
Capparezza replied to xkgp's topic in LEGO Town
The hose racks are really neat, but I have to agree with Paul that the wheel arches on truck and trailer look a bit odd. Maybe swap them? Wider ones on the trailer and a smaller arch on the truck?- 3 replies

Classic 4-wide look. I like it Using two different wheels on the truck is a nice touch, haven't thought about that until now...

The Townhouse looks interesting. Might be the first Lego Set to buy in 2017 (and propably my last for the next year, too.... budget cuts ).

Very nice design, great architectural details. And the multi-level is indeed oustanding. Well, it might be a little noisy at the gas station...

I'm sorry that you have been turned away by just one person having such issues. I hope you do reconsider and let others have a look at your finished creation. It's the creativity that counts, to me at least...

Thanks for your answer and your patience. I guess I'll completely deactivate signatures for now, until the double-spacing is resolved. -

Awesome stuff. It stimulates imagination: Who are these skullheads? Why are they getting a "brick" delivery by plain? What is in the "bricks"? And when is it Summer again, I do have a certain want for chocalate icecream now....

Let me take a guess what JopieK wanted to tell you: Don't hide your content behind a packed archive! Besides the notion, that a lot of people don't want to open packed archives from someone they don't know, you could present your ideas in a much better way. Get a free flickr or brickshelf account and post your stuff there, for example. You can directly link pictures from these two in your posts on Eurobricks.

I have noticed this problem as well. It's pretty upsetting if nearly all regular posts are half the size (or even smaller) than the signature. A lot of screen estate is wasted this way. And I do NOT think it helps to MANUALLY deactivate all signatures which are to big... You'd have to redo this for any new user that pops up with such a big signature. Let's talk about a scrolling and clicking orgy -
I tried the Dot Codes for the Monster CMF and I have to say that it was pretty hard, sometimes even impossible, to decipher that freaking dots on the package... Out of 5 packages bought (and 20 packages to "feel" through) I had only 2 where I was 100% sure what was in it. And after opening up, one of them did not have what I suspected to be in the package. Try to feel certain distinct parts in the package, this worked out much better for me.

LEGO Educational & Dacta Discussion Thread
Capparezza replied to Exetrius's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm, those minifigure sets look quite nice. I heard the Panama Canal set can only be bought in Panama, is this true? -
To my understanding, a clone is an (however exact) duplicate of something Lego is already producing or has produced. I don't see anything resembling an S-Brick in the current or past Lego lineup... neither something like a BuWizz. So to me, neither S-Brick nor BuWizz is a clone of any sorts.
-
I don't have any problem with it. I do understand that building something this size in pure Lego would not be possible within a given budget. Not everyone has the possibility or opportunity to get his hands on that amount of Lego bricks in a cheap way. But I do also understand that it may be disappointing to some.

The sheer size and the lovely details of these ships makes me go "Wow". Looking forward to your progress!

Modular generic factory with railroad boxcars - LDD MOC
Capparezza replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Town
Definitely in LDD, didn't see those pieces in the parts list. But I could've missed them, too. -
What a patience, to clip together 20.000 parts. Wow. Haven't been there yet, but looking at your model makes wanna do a trip down south.
