  1. Oh so adorable, very nice build
  2. It looks horrible, indeed... There are at least 2 sides on those windows that are never ever likely going to see daylight again. I wonder why they didn't use any of those for the sprues.
  3. Btw, looking at this https://www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-und-verkaufen/d/lego-eisenbahn-fensterrahmen-10stk-176856483/ it seems quite normal for those dark purple windows to have the sprue marks on the front right side.
  4. Here you go :)
  5. Salve Cristiano and welcome aboard treno "EuroBricks"

That surely is some heavy beaten down building, very nice build. The 1x1 bricks in the beams for the front porch are nicely laid out, it never occured to me that bricks not lining up correctly can look that good
  7. First of all: Thanks a lot to all the maintainers for this forum and your hard work on the upgrade, I do like it very much (well, I've been here only a couple days before the upgrade anyways ) and it's still easy to create posts here. No problems at all on my side... ...well, maybe a minor annoyance: Do we get our customized banner pictures back? I do miss the picture change when I move over to the trains forum, it's a little bit of personality loss to me. Bring back Conductor Charlie please
  8. Chinese workers are still cheap. Also there are less worries about environmental impact of factories over there. So it's no big wonder why more and more western companies shifted their production to China. And that the Chinese have always been diligent and fast copiers of western technology isn't novel. Well, if Lego would be less focused on making only a limited run of certain sets and instead kept it longer on the shelves, there would be no reason for me to buy the cheap Lepin copy. I'd really like to have those modulars that came out in my Dark Ages or the Emerald Night, but second hand prices are just hilarious. I guess if those would have been longer in stores (for one or two years), there would be no need for such price inflation and no need for anyone to even think about getting a (way cheaper) knockoff. They could as well reissue these sets to dry up Lepin sales. But I guess that's just one side of the coin, there sure are other reasons why these copies get sold. PS: And no, I'm still patient. I won't ever buy any of these knockoffs
  9. I've checked yesterday on my 4558 and a spare parts set with gray windows (like the ones from the Metroliner), I don't have any injection marks on the front. The spare parts do have clearly visible injection marks on the sides, though.
  10. Very nice! Getting 10 alternate models is very astonishing, I guess I would have a hard time inventing just ONE of those
  11. Yeeehaaa!!!! This looks very promising. I'd love to have some of those quarter and half length pieces... trying to figure out how without a credit card
  12. It's so nice to see this happening! Link to coasters post here on EB, you can get a little bit of insight into the development process over there: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/105999-custom-9v-tracks/&page=10#comment-2667391
  13. Yay, another train fan. Welcome there BTW: We definitely need some train-related emoticons here ... hehe...
  14. Hello there and a warm welcome! Maybe you can find some inspiration in this expired Lego Ideas project. Good luck and happy building
  15. Well, it's name is derived from one of the 7 hills Rome has been built on. The Capitol also featured Corinthian columns (wich attribute to its neo-classical style), which have been moved and replaced by simpler designs in the 60ies. Corinthian columns had been used in ancient Greek and Roman buildings. Besides that overall neo-classical look resembling old Roman and Greek architecture, there is no direct relation to any historical building. Only the rotunda beneath the Capitol dome was built to directly evoke the design of the Pantheon in Rome. Great review and nice building, even if the backside seems a little incomplete.
  16. Whoa very very very cool. This is definitely one hell of a long train to put in the Long Trains thread if it isn't there already
  17. Well, taking only the first 4 numbers would give you a "Alpha Team Dash Jet Sub Mission": https://rebrickable.com/sets/1425-1/dash-jet-sub-mission-deep-sea-2002
  18. What a cool car and nice drifts you're doing there! But do you know what impressed me most? That you still have those "Pater Noster"-style elevators in Czech Republic And yes, your car reminds me as well of the Nissan 350Z or 370Z.
  19. Hehe, very nice. I like your storytelling and the scenery is awesome
  20. Was looking for Series 16 around my home town for the last week, no shop had them on stock. But today I finally managed to get ahold of that Banana Guy Had to drive half an hour just for ONE minifig... Let's talk about my Lego addiction, shall we? Guess I'll try to get one of those explorers as well (when I've got the moneys, can't spare 2,99 at the moment, haha). I love that little penguin, looks adorable!
  21. Dang. I could slap myself in the face.... I was driving from Berlin to Munich via Regensburg that weekend... and didn't stop by at Schierling
  22. Hey there, welcome and greetings from the other end of beautiful Austria :)
  23. Wow. This crossing is awesome. Looks just like a real one somewhere in good old Germany (or is it called "Schland" now?). The bars even have that erratic movement as the real ones The miniature model of the 7740 in Klaus' operator room is a nice little touch I missed at first, only spotted it later in your video. Grüße, Cappa PS: Please give Mister Beilschleifer some lesson on how to correctly chop down a tree... next time he might hit that "Old Emerald", and we don't want him to do that, do we?
  24. What about "Le-Glue"? It says you can wash it off when you need your bricks back. So you can happily glue your bricks together and still disassemble it later. Anyone tested this stuff already? Might be an option for public shows. https://www.amazon.com/Glue-Temporary-LEGO%C2%AE-Blocks-Non-Toxic/dp/B00TFRSTCK
