    Same here. I previously only followed the SC news like I do with in-house themes (meaning as a side thing), but this changes everything They could pretty easily turn this into a cool subtheme!

    In my view, a fourth NWH set has become pretty unlikely thanks to the levels of secrecy surrounding the production, which was more extensive than thought when even Funko was left in the dark (which was supremely pointless considering the leaks, but that’s beside the point). The only way I could see us getting a spoilery NWH set this year is if they take the Mando approach and fast-track it. However, this depends on how that process worked I’m pretty sure the Razor Crest set was already designed when the series started (considering it was visible in that leaked teaser) and the only thing they had to rush out was Grogu since nobody outside of production knew about him. The question is if the most important action set piece in NWH (Lady Liberty) was revealed to merchandising partners or not. If that was kept a secret along with the characters, we‘re doomed

    Well that changes everything, the most important and beloved side character in the entire franchise! One man’s trash is another’s horcrux, or something like that. I wouldn’t much care for any of these minifigs, but it could be worse, I’ll give you that

    Yeah, I don’t get why he didn’t just admit he was wrong. Even the most reliable leakers can be wrong once in a while, no shame in that. Maybe he was afraid the fans would tear him apart, but he was only delaying the inevitable if that’s the case Bake him away, toys!

    @droobles Your idea doesn’t sound bad, but in my opinion the minifig potential is really poor no matter what they’d do with a Hogwarts Express D2C It’s either boring students, Ghostledore, Babymort, and/or the middle-aged trio plus their more-or-less cursed offspring If this ends up happening and remains our only semi-major DH representation, I’m gonna strangle someone

    That's a bit of a stretch. Why not reduce it to a $300 set then instead of unnecessarily buffing it up with "filler" like that? Especially when the $80 alternative is still readily available Granted, iconicity is not an issue with this one. Desirable? Yes. $470 levels of desirable? Ehhhhhh... This is exactly the part that bothers me. Sneaking in a DH outfit or two like they did with the new Trelawney sure is a nice gesture, but not a replacement for proper sets

    Sure, but that was not the only goal. The other was to see how far a fabricated rumour could reach (and how diligent news websites would be in their research). It was picked up by all sorts of gaming websites, which was quite impressive I have to say. Not sure the same can be said for many other fake rumours, the nonsense our dear friend Sméagol spewed out for instance did not have much reach beyond IG and EB

    Well, TLG can get away with some gaps in SW by citing poor sales (even though I personally disagree with that reasoning because timing was the issue, not the subject matter, as @lego_guyon02 points out). This is certainly not the case with HP, unless the two 2011 DH sets happened to be shelf-warmers (which they weren’t, right?) Maybe TLG really do think DH sets wouldn’t sell, but I have no idea how they reached that conclusion. Hey, let’s look at the bright side though: at least we get to see Batman eating one of his hands, that oughta be quite the spectacle

    Sure, but there really are people that act like that all the time There’s so much nonsense online, it’s sometimes hard to differentiate between sarcasm and people’s delusions. Just an example: I’m pretty sure the whole flat-Earth thing started as an ironic joke, and look where we are now

    Same, it’s my most anticipated film of 2023 The amount of films that exist is obviously a fact, not an opinion though Pretending an officially released film doesn’t exist or isn’t canon is incredibly immature. Dislike them all you want, but you can’t deny the truth

    It’s definitely one of the most impressive aspects of this theme, even the sort-of remakes are crammed with so much new stuff I can’t help but love them That cannot be said for SW, where the remakes rarely include something worthwhile for the long-term collector anymore, even though they pretty easily could in most cases if they didn’t play it this mind-numbingly safe As I’ve said, (mostly) ignoring DH is the only failing of this theme in my eyes. The green roofs and blockier Hogwarts style I can live with, the DH-shaped hole in my collection however is nowhere near as easy to ignore

    What I’m referring to is the 2-films-per-year pattern they abandoned by skipping DH and circling right back to PS/CoS (and a bit of PoA) I know they didn’t have a plan beyond year 3 in the beginning, but you can’t blame us for thinking they’d continue a pattern like that Only if they release sets based on DH, otherwise I consider them on the same level of incompleteness
