LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It does, as the 4+ Mickey sets have been found as well 87 pieces for $30?! What the **** kind of set is that supposed to be? -
Disney Properties 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Soupperson1's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good, I was hoping that would be the case There‘s still plenty of classic Mickey & Friends characters they could introduce here, like Pete or Horace -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
People on IG seem to think that “coconut” is Indy, but Avatar 2 is far more likely. The Indy sets were obviously supposed to tie-in with Indy 5’s previous release date so a June release is far more realistic -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Let’s look at the previous $20 sets: Grindelwald’s Escape: 132 pieces, 2 minifigs, 1 large moulded creature Expecto Patronum: 121 pieces, 4 minifigs, 1 large moulded creature The Rise of Voldemort: 184 pieces, 5 minifigs + Baby Voldy Hogwarts RoR: 193 pieces, 4 minifigs, 2 small moulded creatures Polyjuice Potion Mistake: 217 pieces, 4 minifigs, 1 moulded headpiece Not enough data to establish a clear pattern of course, but 4 minifigs and a (large) moulded seem pretty likely -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
A new mould being included is not the only factor at play. The RoR $20 set for instance featured two new animal moulds, yet still had 192 pieces Then again, those two were pretty small and nowhere near as complex as the dual-moulded stag. Btw, it’s been two years almost and we’re still waiting for their non-patronus counterparts to appear in sets @BacktoBricks might be onto something, a troll mould could explain it I can’t think of another large moulded creature that would make sense to include in a $20 set -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Huh, I managed to miss that completely Most of these part counts seem pretty ordinary to me, even the one of set 76400. I just looked it up, the Expecto Patronum set also had exactly 121 pieces for $20 -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Webshop electricbricks has started to add 2HY set numbers to their database While there’s nothing HP-related we didn’t know already, at least it reconfirms that 76406 is a buildable creature. Also, the release date is June apparently Phew! -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Depends on when the sets get released this year. If it’s June as usual, I would expect a list in early February. In case it’s later (say August), it may take a while -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think not even descriptions are allowed anymore. If I’m not mistaken, the last time we got anything was in 2019, when a brave soul brought us a list of HP minifigs and was promptly fired for it -

As @Robert8 points out, the toy fairs in London and Nuremberg will be held (the one in NY as well I think?), but I wouldn’t expect the sets to be shown there In the last couple of years, they’ve shown fewer and fewer 2HY sets and themes, so the only sets I fully expect to see there are the Jurassic World ones (scheduled for April) and any set with a March release. If we’re lucky, some May sets could also show up (Lightyear and the SW dioramas). The rest will be revealed much later -
Licensed Horror/Spooky themes that might happen
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not likely. A designer has recently stated in an interview that the 18+ label doesn't mean that they're planning to branch out to "adult" themes The thread is specifically about licensed spooky themes -
DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
If it stays exclusive to streaming, most likely not, just too niche at that point Of course we get sets based on streaming shows (Stranger Things, Mando, TBOBF, Marvel), but those are all juggernauts while DC is doing... whatever it is they're doing right now The best indicator is probably the Flash film. If that one doesn't get sets, then there's no way Batgril will, theatrical or not -
DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Couldn't agree more. I don't get why big budget streaming-exclusive films get made at all, why give away this much money? A film like Batgirl could easily make 500 Mio at the world-wide box office. Trying to gain the same amount just with new subscribers to a streaming service is just laughable -

Some people think that new armour piece that leaked today belongs to Doctor Fate, which seems very unlikely to me. Why would his armour have two pinholes in the back? -
Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
… it was a joke Still no trailer, but at least that new picture looks promising. DeWanda Wise’s character could make for a good minifig, hopefully with a new faceprint Not counting on it, since there are quite a few they could repurpose for her (Jannah’s or Monica Rambeau’s for instance) -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
While these three would have been preferable, I still want Agatha, Zemo, and Mobius more than any of them Because that’s what the rumour says -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Indeed. What if? S1 was enjoyable, but 5 slots in the CMF series in addition to the two sets it got was just overkill If it isn’t featured this time, we may finally see some of the desirable characters we were missing out on last time! -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I sincerely hope the D2C set is the Avengers Tower, not because of the subject matter itself, but rather that a tower-like build is the only 500$-sized one I have room for I have no idea how to display a second Helicarrier or any other large building that isn’t a tower -

You mean a soon-to-be former employee, if this is even real in the first place It's too early for prelims for my liking and them being sold sounds suspicious too. Real or not, probably the dumbest LEGO-related money-making scheme I've heard, I mean how would you prevent your first "customer" from posting the pictures right on IG? -
Disney Properties 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Soupperson1's topic in LEGO Licensed
Without a shadow of a doubt He‘s the toy line‘s villain, so of course he‘s also the villain in the film that the in-universe toy is based on What we don‘t know is what his design looks like, kinda hard to reverse-engineer from his toy appearance -

What is going on? Can we extend our reality-altering magic to other themes as well? -
DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Him liking the post is indeed suspicious, but I’m not reading too much into it. Still not buying the idea all the highly-specific characters options we were spitballing suddenly turn out to be correct a few hours later -

Looks like our speculation here has inspired someone on IG Yeah, sure, go ahead, new account with a single post and 0 followers. Oh, you say the set includes all the characters that were recently discussed here? What a coincidence How quaint.
