Curse you, I can’t unsee it now!!

That’s a bit hyperbolic. While the buildable character trend has proliferated recently, it’s not really at the cost of minifig sets since the Disney theme was always low on minifigs In fact, we’re still getting minifig sets, sometimes even included with the buildable characters. Winnie and Piglet had one each, so Eeyore surely will as well. Nick and Judy 99% won’t have any, but we can’t entirely rule it out yet

The three minifigs are Red, Oak, and a picnicker, while the moulded Pokémon are Eevee and Pikachu. The latter also just leaked and looks adorable!

First minifig leak from the MoM set, and it’s Umbridge! She wears the locket, meaning it’s partially a DH1 set. Not that I mind that, but I want it to be mostly based on OotP

3 of the CMF minifigs leaked, namely Shrek himself, Farquaad, and Gingy. They all look great, but I definitely prefer the Hagrid-like torso from the leaked Shrek 5 set over the regular minifig torso. The head looks identical

Movie sets sell. Show sets might not do as well, as it‘s simply too early to tell. Diving head-first into show sets is not something I ever would‘ve expected TLG to do As I‘ve said before, if even a Star Wars show required two successful seasons before TLG fully got on board, what chance does this show stand? My guess is that we‘ll see sets if the shows has high ratings. They lose nothing by focussing on the movies still, while switching to the show bears risks. Or maybe I‘m wrong and half the sets are based on the show

(At least) two more Fortnite sets next year: 77088 Guacos Tacos ($19.99) 77084 P-1000 ($99.99) No clue what they are since I don’t play the game, but it’s a great theme with colourful sets, so I’m excited to see the result

Since the cape and cowl are connected just like they were on the previous Burtonman minifig, that would require a separate cowl to be included, and I don’t think they’ll do that I like how this is both a reflection on the state of this theme, and on the character of Batman himself on a deeper level

Raimi Spidey was always more popular than the FoX-Men though and they’ve done Spidey sets back when the movies first came out, which is also an advantage. Thus, I have a hard time envisioning TLG going to that (not particularly plentiful) well. Not that I’d mind that! While the FoX-Men outfits are ultra boring, we could still get some cool minifigs out of that. Waiting for the MCU X-Men is a double-edged sword. While it will likely put the X-Men back on the map, there will be enough new material to cover so that they don’t even need to go back to the FoX-Men

The Dobby set is clearly movie-based, but it could go either way with the Hogwarts set. That said, I’ll be cackling like a madman if they actually continue with movie sets only like I predicted before, because it’s the far safer route

About time TLG finally give Zootopia some love! Would’ve preferred minifigs of course, but it’s better than nothing. Eeyore sounds like a great companion to this year’s two Pooh sets!

The new Batman minifig for the Batmobile Returns Batmobile leaked! Looks neat, but this might be the first-ever minifig with unusable arms

Yeah, funny coinkidink No news for months, and 2 hours after I make a post something actually leaks! Looks great! Accurate colour, dual-moulded printed legs, and a new Chewbacca-like piece Will take some time to get used to, but way better than the old minifig!

July 14th has been declared SpongeBob Day! I wonder if they’ll reveal the set then Probably not, since Icons sets tend to get revealed shortly before their release, but one can hope! At least give us a teaser or something

Buckle up, there’s another one coming I’ve been in Germany for the last week and it’s indeed pretty awful. Luckily we’ve had AC during most of it! Well, “standard” and “bare minimum” can be one and the same, but even in this theme TLG tend to be more generous than that The only thing making these figure selections less than bare minimum are the anniversary figures, but they should be an extra, not part of the regular minifig count The 2024 and 2019 figs actually felt like bonus minifigs, these ones don’t. I do!

Is this “era balance” in the room with us? 5 OT, 1 PT, & 1TCW sets, but getting nothing from the ST, the spin-offs, the other animated shows, the Mandoverse, or any of the videogames, and most importantly, no TIE Avenger, is hardly balanced Even pre-2014, this wouldn’t qualify as balanced since TPM and AOTC go hungry again.

Great-looking set, but I immediately skipped ahead in the video to look for the dossiers, and so far we have Miss Wednesday, Miss Valentine, Mr 8, Miss Monday, and Miss Goldenweek! Interesting to see a mixture between agents we have in sets and others that don’t have a physical minifig yet. Also, they’re making a distinction between frontier and officer agents! I guess the other three are Mr 5, Mr 3, and Mr 9 to complete the pairs

I’m expecting a repeat of the 2025 minifig The Boba buildable figure easily ranks among the best they’ve ever done! Looking forward to that one

I think a NWH style spoiler set is in the cards if the movie does well, and it clearly will If it follows the same release trajectory though, we’ll have to wait a while for that, like January 2028. If they planned a tie-in set, they surely would’ve released it this year. Maybe as part of the next Marvel CMF series, if they’re making one!

Couldn’t agree more! While I prefer the olive green colour scheme of the 2021 version, this one looks better, is ridiculously poseable, and just plain fun to play around with!

No “would” about it, as it did work for the TLM2 sets! I wouldn’t mind more sets or minifigs in that style.
