  1. Interesting point. HP was one of the few large franchises that actually had a decent chance of being „completed“, given the obscure characters they were willing to cover. …and then they gave that idea the middlefinger by skipping DH Now it’s on track to suffer the same fate as LotR, SW, Marvel, DC, JW, PotC, Indy, and most other licensed themes by having a big gaping hole in their range of sets. Even the themes that got very close had pretty significant gaps in the end (The Hobbit, Toy Story). They’re still doing a great job with the theme, but the way DH was treated will never not bug me Rant over.
  2. …I think y‘all are massively overestimating the mass appeal of random crooked background fodder buildings There‘s a reason they focussed mostly on the well-known shops in the DA set, the ones with actual screentime and plot significance (minus Gringotts of course). Sure, there‘s Scribbulus, Fortescue, and the Daily Prophet office, but those were sprinkled in as seasoning Also, I wouldn‘t be in favour of unimportant DA shops taking set spots that could go to more interesting still missing locations like the Shrieking Shack or the MoM. Instead, I‘d rather they pick two of the remaining shops, include them in a DA expansion alongside Gringotts and be done with it
  3. Oh yes they could. I can't recall which set it was, but some bootleggers actually once managed to put out a copy of a set before the real one got launched, thanks to an early leak
  4. So far, only Hawkeye has been ignored, and that one’s only concluded a few weeks ago We could still get a CMF series next year to retroactively fill some of the gaps
  5. Posting leaked pictures is not allowed on EB. I suggest deleting it asap
  6. Too little too late in my opinion, they should‘ve taken advantage of part 1 already Still hoping for them to change their minds once part 2 hits theatres next year, but I‘m very sceptical
  7. Yeah, he‘s definitely the most glaring omission. The reduction to 12 minifigs just keeps hurting us, doesn‘t it. The gift that keeps on not giving
  8. …what? „Assassin“ and „kids show“ in the same sentence, is that even possible? And to think the UK banned the word „ninja“ in the 80s and 90s Is AC even popular enough to warrant all this? Haven‘t heard anything about the franchise in ages. Agreed, a name change is definitely warranted
  9. Something tells me this ain‘t the most appropriate subject matter for a 4+ set, unless this is Luke and the Wampa‘s Coffee Party
  10. M‘Baku will reportedly have an extended role in Wakanda Forever. All your concerns are hereby void I hope this means we get a minifig of his this time round, they can surely cram him into one of the 4 sets
  11. A set based on a building visible for two phemtoseconds is less niche than a set depicting a vehicle featured in a 5 minute long memorable action sequence from what most people consider to be the best instalment in the entire series, got it
  12. I wouldn‘t complain too much if the two minifigs turn out to be assassins of the Order of the Night Wind, especially if they include their energy shields, but and would obviously be much cooler choices. Depends on how much concept art material was given to TLG beforehand Lucasfilm appear to be much more secretive with the shows compared to the films, for whatever reason
  13. You would buy a set for $100 with 5 to 6 unnamed random civilians? You do you
  14. Sure, us fans would buy those, but is there really mass market appeal for shops that were only on screen for a couple of seconds without any interior scenes or notable characters associated with them? And what minifigs would you include if this was a yearly thing?
  15. LTF may still happen, but TLG won't be present anymore Welp, the toy fair season is over before it even began
  16. Sounds kinda fishy to me due to a lack of sources. If it ends up happening, Drake may warm the throne for a bit before the real king of adventure returns in October
  17. They look amazing The packaging is decisively less amazing though. Seriously, white again?!
  18. Are we sure it‘s a „Gaming“ theme and not just a Sony one?
  19. It‘s the „My Friends… And Zoidberg“ trope The joke is that you name a group and then a person separately, implying they‘re not part of that group. The way you stated it, the sentence could be read as you implying that Greekbricks isn’t reliable
  20. You just Zoidberged poor Greekbricks
  21. Do you really want one of the coveted $100 spots to go to a random DA shop every year? Also, not every shop would work as an individual set. I‘d say a $100 Burrow, Astronomy Tower, Shrieking Shack, Grimmauld Place, or Ministery of Magic set all have infinitely more appeal than a $100 Madame Malkin‘s, which we‘ve never even seen the interior of.
  22. „Tone-deaf“ as in ignoring the reason why this theme exists in the first place Yes, I remember all …four of them Jk, of course there were also the Studios and Jack Stone-style sets, but they were nowhere near the level the current Marvel sets are (and they were solely based on Spider-man) As a researcher myself, that improves the worth of such data from ‚completely useless‘ to ‚completely useless with a neat bow on top‘
  23. Sure, but as you say, that show arrives next year, so expecting sets this year doesn‘t make much sense
  24. I‘m not in a particular rush, the mediocre aftertaste the FoX-Men have left has barely been washed out after all And the less said about the foul stench Fox’s Abysmal Four have left, the better
  25. Eh, I‘ll wait for them to join the MCU
