LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
…how many minifigs are in this set, exactly? The only thing I don’t like about Bib Chungus’ Throne Room is that it changed my perspective on the 2HY sets: Since TBoBF gets its first (and so far only) proper set months after the first season has concluded, where does this leave us with sets based on Kenobi and Andor? Or so they consider these two to be less spoilery shows? -
LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that whole thing reads completely differently now I‘m still not convinced the delay of the set has anything to do with this though. Or does Microsoft suddenly need a big sticker with their logo applied to every box? Even on Minecraft sets, their trademark is rather subtle -

I‘m still confused by the buyout Who on Earth pays 65 Billion $ (!) for a company that‘s in the middle of being sued to Mars and back? They could‘ve waited for a bit and buy them for the price of a half-eaten sandwich afterwards -

Definitely not. Why would a buyout cause a delay in licensed products? Nothing changed for TLG back when Disney bought Lucasfilm or when Microsoft purchased Mojang -

It couldn‘t be any more one-sided if they tried, since the only suitable minifig we have on Voldy‘s side is the man himself I know Snape was there in the book, but we didn‘t see him so it doesn‘t count. That reminds me: How come we STILL don‘t have proper Death Eaters in year 5? Imagine if this was the case in any other licensed theme with Stormtroopers, Goombas, Minecraft Zombies, Chitauri, or Velociraptors being absent for 4+ years. And don‘t tell me that KKK-looking megablock is a good replacement, he isn‘t That design is nowhere near as good as the one from OotP onwards. I‘m glad we got him for the sake of completion, but that‘s about it. Oh, and the dummy from the RoR set doesn‘t count either -

Exactly. Or a PoA set in both PS/CoS-centric years They may even throw us a curveball and release sets based on all six HP movies. Too bad the series ended after HBP, kind of a weak conclusion -

Hasn‘t stopped them before And if they really end up doing a DH-centric year at some point, they may shove in as many remakes as they please, I‘d consider that an absolute win -

Too soon. As @Textorix says, this ain‘t Star Wars where remakes after only two years are fair game now -

They were covered with two sets each in 2020 The consensus is that they‘ll focus on PoA and GoF again this year, but who knows… It‘s better not to expect anything and let TLG surprise us. Had to learn that lesson the hard way last year -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
If they really plan to have him as the main villain for all four of the sequels, he better be more than just a simple greedy human I hope he comes back as more of a mystical/supernatural threat, like an evil parasitic counterpart to the symbiotic link the Na‘vi share with their environment -

That‘s the best one thus far *steals it* My guess is that the entire description was wrong and there‘s no Rancor included If so, the info about the Gamorreans is probably wrong as well and there might be only one (or none) -

How about this one in red? It's not perfect, but probably one of the few existing ones that could work -

Take a closer look at the piece, it's been modified to reflect Fortuna's more ...impressive-looking disposition -

BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good point. There could be a flashback involving Fortuna in one of the upcoming episodes, giving more context to his demise This leak has me very excited! Bummed about that spoilery bounty hunter not appearing in the set, but at least there‘s another opportunity for him to show up -

Since the set is based on Mando S2 rather than TBoBF I wonder what parts of the description were correct, if anything A Gamorrean or two could still be included since they showed up in that scene as well, but the Rancor rumour must be false -

Two „bounty hunters“, huh The lekku piece is obviously on the wrong figure, but these two look great! Finally a Quarren minifig, one of the few classic alien design we were still missing Edit: Bib Fortuna is pretty obviously coming: notice the huge bulge on the lekku and the fact Twi‘leks don‘t have spikes on their faces Am I the only one who finds it funny that they release an entire set based on a post-credits scene? -
Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

I‘m not familiar with the JW fandom outside of EB, but he must be quite a piece of work if you can point to him as the single worst fan I couldn‘t do that with any fandom -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That‘d be incredibly lame Even the DS took 8 years to get replaced, so a new D2C microscale Hogwarts after only half that time would pretty much set a new record That‘s something not even the SW team would dare, so I doubt the HP one would -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hard to tell. This could easily be read as a mere guess I‘m not getting my hopes up again unless we hear something tangible He retired from leaking (and got banned here on EB, still don‘t know what happened, pretty sure there was no relation though ) -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe, we simply don‘t know yet The creature being a Niffler is just a (popular) guess, there are no rumours -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nope. I can‘t imagine it being more than one or two sets though The brick-built creature has a pretty high chance of being a Niffler I‘d say, but no clue beyond that -
Sure, but they‘re part of the Speed Champions theme, which is all about accuracy to real life cars. The two confirmed movie cars are slightly modified versions of real ones, so they‘re fair game. The same cannot be said for every movie car out there Some are either entirely custom or so heavily modified the real car is not easily identifiable anymore. I don‘t mind personally, I just question if those fit the SC brand. Some SC fans are already upset
-
The question is which level of modification is still acceptable. After all, the original car still has to be recognisable

DEATHLY HALLOWS, NO WAY HOME, & RAIMI TRILOGY …just throwing it out there into the void, maybe it works While I would personally prefer Craig, Connery is the more likely choice I think. Either way, an official 007 minifig is nothing to scoff at 2022 sounds better with every announcement, apart from the fake ones of course
