This implies they know the whole minifig roster Then I hope the rest will be revealed soon as well -

The way I see it, this is the ultimate Diagon Alley set and as such it makes sense to include everything they can in there, even if it‘s not technically accurate to include a shop from Nockturn Alley Hasn‘t stopped them the last time either For some sets, it does make sense to have multiple versions. The Cloud City set for instance would be weird if the second Han and Leis versions were missing since their outfits are each iconic to specific scenes depicted in the set -

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

My first thought was „no way they’d do that“, but it wouldn‘t actually be all that unreasonable. Past D2Cs have shown that they‘re perfectly fine with mixing characters from different films (scenes from both ANH and ROTJ being depicted in the two DS play sets, Bail Organa from RO being included in the Tantive IV, the MF featuring the TESB as well as the TFA crews) -

Besides, the amount of (desirable) characters in the franchise is not as substantial as the ones in other themes that actually got their own CMF series (Simpsons, Disney, DC, HP, and the LEGO movie universe). You could easily release 4 series or more for each of these. JP, not so much Moreover, I think JP, JW, and JW:FK have all been covered pretty well in terms of noteworthy characters. The only notable gaps in the theme are TLW and JP3, and that could easily be remedied by releasing a handful of sets further down the line. Getting sets based on these two films would be nice, but I really doubt lots of people would care all that much about minifigs of the Kirbys, Vince Vaughn’s character or all the forgettable cannon fodder. -

Hooray, can‘t wait to see who it is ...it‘s going to be a new variant of Harry, Ron or Hermione, isn‘t it Edit: mini_legogo said it‘s when most of their followers wake up, so it‘s in either 3 or 6 hours, depending on whether it‘s the US east or west coast -

It‘s not impossible, but also not very likely We don‘t know if there even will be a GWP set this year and if there is one, I doubt it‘ll be an add-on to an existing GWP set. Besides: Occam‘s razor, ‘nuff said -

@Yope & @Seaber: Thanks for pointing that out The HP wiki has no excuses then -

Are we sure this is Florean Fortescue and not middle-aged Harry after he got his scar removed Jk, if it wasn’t obvious already I was just looking up some pictures on the HP wiki and the only picture they have of his film counterpart is really blurry, so blurry in fact you can’t even see if he’s wearing glasses or not. I wonder what source material the minifig designers used in order to get this kind of detail right Good point. Someone has also brought up the 2011 set where Fred & George were included without WWW, so this could also be the case here I wouldn’t mind FFICP being reduced to an ice cream cart or a stand, but I‘d also be ok with FFICP being a full shop as long as it doesn‘t take the spot of one of the more prominent shops like F&B. -

Agreed. I can see them releasing one set based on the JP trilogy like they did in 2018, but the rest of the wave will most likely be based on JW:D -

Holy cow, factory leaks aren‘t dead yet after all I‘m also very pleased to see that we‘re getting more obscure shops too -

IMO, the minimalistic artwork works perfectly here since it closely emulates the original NES box and the ads of that time I‘m not too sure about the Haunted House and Crocodile boxarts either, but here it fits very well, just like it did with the Mickey & Minnie set -

They even thought of the details on the back of the TV! This set gets even more amazing every time I look at it 2020 can go die in a fire, but TLG is truly at their A game this year -

The part about interactivity with the Mario figure is true since there‘s a picture of it in the instruction manual, but the other rumour doesn‘t sound believable. However, it depends on what they mean with „add-on levels“. I could see the level on the TV being customisable with multiple layouts, but separately sold sets certainly won‘t happen -

I think the only reason people believe this is the fact that the Hogwarts D2C had one. Personally, I‘m not anticipating it since a lot of D2Cs this year didn‘t have one -

Even if so, it makes perfect sense for D2Cs slated for August to be revealed (or leaked) well before one intended to be released in September Why would they reveal DA this far in advance compared to everything else? -

See it this way: unless there‘s another unknown D2C coming out in August, DA has to be next in line -

According to promobricks, it‘s going to be 230€ No way that’s going to happen since that would require at least one new mould -

I‘m afraid it will take a while until we get to see the DA set. The Super Mario D2C has just been leaked and assuming it‘s an August release, it has managed to stay a secret for a surprisingly long time. If they’re able to keep that up for DA, we probably won‘t see it until the middle of August, leaks included -

There is a Mario D2C after all, and it‘s a model of an NES + controller, Mario cartridge and TV Not what I expected, but it looks excellent! There‘s also some level of interactivity with the Mario figure -

Thanks, good to know I didn’t realise that the source was The Sun since I’ve seen it in multiple other places. That tabloid truly is one of the worst on this planet, if not THE worst -

Not directly LEGO-related, but the first day of filming of JW:D after lockdown apparently went horribly wrong with several positive cases amongst the crew. I don’t think a 2021 release is necessarily guaranteed anymore, so we might need to prepare for another wave of made-up stuff next year
