  1. I hope not. A Rancor is rumoured to be included in 75326, so what‘s the point of an empty Rancor Pit set? Including one in both sets would be rather silly Besides, the Rancor is rumoured to
  2. The last version of Hagrid’s Hut was based on PoA, so if a remake was based on its PS/CoS appearance, I‘d be all for it As they should And I mean that unironically. A PS Hagrid‘s Hut with Fang and (hatched!) Norberta would be a great set
  3. The difference is that JKR, abhorrent as her behaviour is, is not currently being sued by the state of California Can you really blame anyone for trying to distance themselves from Activision? It’s liking having to share the stage with a drunk guy covered in feces, of course you try to distance yourself as much as possible to ward off the foul stench
  4. Still, who do you punish by not releasing your products there? The government or the people? Unless Xi Jinping happens to be an avid AFOL Human rights being basically non-existent and concentration camps for minorities… Can’t think of a single huge powerful country this also applies to *cough* Russia *cough* USA *cough* The issue is structural, which means the company as a whole is to blame, including everyone that knew of it and let it happen. A few bad apples spoil the bunch, while in this case the bad apples were plentiful
  5. The Creator list had already leaked a couple of weeks ago, forgot about that So Monkie Kid and Avatar 2 remain. The former makes sense since the theme’s not available at regular retailers in the west, but I wonder where the list for the latter is
  6. Ah, textbook false equivalencies Teaming up with a horrible company and releasing sets in a country with a horrible government are clearly not the same thing. How does releasing a product in a country mean that you automatically support their government? And why do all people that make this comparison always pick China? Besides, it’s not just “a few folks”. Activision don’t get sued over a few individuals’ actions, they get sued because the issue is structural and systematic, which is also why firing a couple of people won’t solve it. Btw, even Sony and Microsoft are looking into severing ties with them. This should tell you how dire the situation is for them
  7. Those I would still buy though For me, the problem is that I'm a bit obsessive, I can't just get one small portion of a range, it's usually either everything or nothing For instance, I got the Collector SDCC minifig (which is now the single most valuable piece of plastic in my flat) since that's part of the MCU, but I pretend the other Marvel and DC ones don't exist, otherwise I would crave them all. If they decided to suddenly release a convention-exclusive HP minifig, I would probably bite the bullet since it'd be the only one, making it easier to justify in my mind Does that make sense or do I sound like an otter lunatic?
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Avatar 2, Monkie Kid, and Creator are the only themes that don't have a 2HY set list yet. Shouldn't take too long before we see those as well
  9. That was my stance at first, but consider this: if you only look at the information currently publicly available, the most logical conclusion would be that Coconut is Avatar 2 due to the October release date while Indy should be released in June since that's when the sets would have launched had Indy 5 not been delayed. However, since every leaker and informant seems to be VERY confident that Coconut is actually Indy, they must know something we don't, otherwise they surely would have reached the above-mentioned conclusion
  10. Minecraft will continue with 2 waves in 2HY: June: 21184 Bakery? 21185 Nether? 21186 Ice Castle? 21187 Barn? 21188 Llama? August: 21189 TBA 364 pcs 21190 TBA 422 pcs Sounds pretty interesting, even though I would have expected a set based on the latest update I hope 21188 includes a brick built llama structure similar to the chicken, sheep, pig, bunny, and fox "houses" we've gotten before In terms of new mobs, none of these sound like something that would obviously require a specific mob
  11. I‘m a completionist (sort of*), so I buy anything they put out for the themes I collect The paradigm shift didn‘t change anything for me *meaning I only try to complete my collection where sensible. I draw the line at $500 convention-exclusive Brickheadz and $1500 SDCC minifigs
  12. No way. The „rumour“ was pretty specific (e.g. hinting that last year’s shows would also be revisited), so a simple mix-up can be ruled out It was just BS
  13. I apologise if someone else has brought this up before, but could 76218 be the rumoured Mjolnir set? I mean, it‘s 18+ and the PPR looks pretty appropriate… At that price point, it could be a decent replica
  14. Yeah, you‘re right. When the film was delayed I thought we‘d have to wait until June 2023, so October 2022 isn‘t too shabby Choo-choo
  15. Well, Stonewars and @Falconfan1414 have also boarded the Coconut=Indy train Looks like we have to be patient
  16. There are indeed two: 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room, which is coming in March, and 75325, a set scheduled for June
  17. Isn‘t the Rancor supposed to be included in the palace set?
  18. Established leakers, yes. This guy was new, so we can assume that he simply made it all up. Plus anything that ends up being true could also just be a lucky guess, which is why new leakers can only be trusted after a while (or if their claims all get backed up by reliable leakers right away) And regarding anniversaries: TLG mostly celebrate the anniversaries of themes, not the movies they‘re based on
  19. Hasn‘t the set been spotted in the wild already? If so, a couple of people might make a pretty penny if the set ends up getting cancelled Kinda weird it took them this long to adress the elephant in the room, but good on them for doing so. Better late than never
  20. Mostly, yes. For some reason, the Star Wars 4+ sets never seem to include new minifigs, in contrast to the 4+ range of other themes, so they‘re not as interesting to most collectors
  21. It is. They announced Funko Pops based on Squid Game last October, and you can‘t tell me those were planned all along The design/production processes at TLG take a lot longer
  22. They celebrated the LEGO theme, not the movies
  23. Fetch your torches and pitchforks people, and give that so-called leaker a taste of the pain he inflicted on us Good thing I didn’t fully buy into these rumours, but having the CMF count be reduced from the alleged 5 to „just“ 3 really hurts, especially since only one of them is licensed. The regular series are fine and all, but I got used to the two-licensed-srries-a-year pattern
  24. Nope, those don’t have regular set numbers Edit: Ninja’d by Batman, should’ve figured
