Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Finally, some news! The D2C set is indeed a new Helicarrier, one of the upcoming sets is a buildable H.E.R.B.I.E. (either 76345 or 47), and the AC allegedly features Xmas Wolverine, Doom, and Ghost Rider -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
BrickBob Studpants replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Since we don’t have plant or food item threads, I’ll bring it up here Upcoming sets also introduce cherries in four new colours (tan, olive green, bright light blue, and what I think is azure?) Quite impressive number of recolours for a piece that had very few for decades!- 5,733 replies

Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, it’s not surprising to hear that the first few movies are more popular. However, the heavy focus on these 2-3 movies gets stale rather quickly, so I’m glad the designers have always made a conscious effort to give the later movies some much-needed love as well Still waiting for that damn OotP-based Castle expansion though!!! And no, the 2020 RoR doesn’t count Weirdly enough, OotP is the most nostalgic HP movie to me since I saw it when I went to the UK for the very first time for a language trip. The movie is inextricably linked to that journey, down to the movie posters scattered everywhere throughout Plymouth -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Batman: stonks 📈 Anyone else: not stonks 📉 The true answer is probably a bit more complicated, but this is what it boils down to. The DCEU killed movie tie-in sets, which in turn meant fewer new DC characters getting exposed to kids, reducing their chances of being featured in sets, leaving the only DC character everyone and their granny recognises as such, Batman. And they likely stopped adding other DC characters to Batman sets because they don’t impact sales, meaning they can save money if a Batmobile with and without [insert non-Batman character] sells about the same. Granted, this is all speculation, but I’d say it tracks. Orrrrrrrr, TLG actually hate DC and its fans with a passion and put together a diabolical plan together with their evil Didney overlords to destroy DC forever -

Looks like there was some mix-up! 43304 and 43306 are both Toy Story sets. The former is a 4+ set called “Toy Story: Wild West” and the latter is the previously rumoured buildable Lotso, but it’s a 9+ set Now that makes more sense! -
Any of the these 3 cartoon themes could easily get an 18+ set, but that’s not my point ^^ My point is it’s unlikely they would only get an 18+ set and nothing else (besides BrickHeadz perhaps). Sure, other themes that had playsets in the past have returned with 18+ sets and little else, like LotR and PotC, but I can’t imagine SpongeBob or ATLA going down the same route. A wave of regular playsets for kids and an 18+ set for millennials would make way more sense!

I changed my mind and started to work on an entry anyway! And no, it’s not another Blue Eyes White Dragon -

That’s not a new piece, it was introduced for Vidiyo in 2021 and has since been used in Dreamzzz sets If they really wanted to use it for Clayface, they would’ve done so already. -
And it’s been officially revealed now too! Well that was a short-lived leak
-
I don’t think it makes sense to open a separate thread for it, so I’ll put it here The Project Hail Mary set has just leaked! Looks good!

The otter set has leaked! Not as cute as the original submission, but they added a baby to make up for that ^^ Also, I think they should’ve stuck to a river otter rather than a sea otter, but that’s just my preference -

I have read the Yu-Gi-Oh manga back in the day (when it was about all sorts of games) and have seen a handful of episodes of the anime, so I‘m not familiar enough to create an entry, otherwise I would‘ve done so Excited to see what people will come up with! -
It has been suggested before and would fit well, but in that case I‘d be a bit miffed about the whole „returning theme“ rumour. Dimensions doesn‘t count Also, what relevance does Portal have right now? It‘s not like a third game is right around the corner!
-
Now that we know that the returning theme is „P“ with a $160 18+ set, I‘m kinda stumped. If Stonewars were correct with classifying it as a gaming theme, the only options are Overwatch, Pac-Man, or Atari, but the latter two had Icons sets before, which wouldn‘t fit with the set number, and the former has no chance of returning amidst all the controversies. People have also suggested Horizon, apparently forgetting the last set came out less than a year ago This makes me think Stonewars were mistaken and it‘s not a gaming IP after all. But which theme would return with nothing but an 18+ set? This fits neither SpongeBob, ATLA, nor TMNT.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The number of people I‘ve seen online who seemingly have no clue how a contest works is depressing They just read the headline „LEGO Yu-Gi-Oh“ and comment nonsense like „hurr durr, $600 Blue Eyes White Dragon, no minifigs“. I know A LOT of people only read headlines and draw all their conclusions from that alone, but come on, this is ridiculous! *rant over* A minifig series might be in the cards (pun wholeheartedly intended), but there has been exactly ONE contest like this before, which is not enough to establish a pattern -
Huh, „Lollipop“ is KPDH after all? Brickmerge claimed 72537 was the Olivia Rodrigo set, and now Maxbautde says it‘s Derpy & Sussie! More sets are coming in 2027!

The interview on Ideas implies that the fan designer gets a cut of this set‘s sales as well, which would be the first time! Lucky guy Well earned I‘d say, and it‘s unsurprising to hear how well the first set is doing! -
Jurassic Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sets always get cancelled, that‘s just part of the business Replacing their set numbers wouldn‘t change much, expect we would know even less about them Granted, I rather wouldn‘t know about cancelled sets at all if they get really far in the design process, like the Temple of Doom or the Flash Batmobile did. That hurts way more! With missing numbers, it‘s way more nebulous and we can pretend those sets would‘ve been uninteresting anyway -

Love it I have two ginger bois (plus two cows), and my parents have three of them, so I‘d need five copies of this set plus another copy of the tuxedo cat to represent all the kitties I interact with on a daily basis I appreciate how they went for the more realistic medium nougat as opposed to dark orange or an even more garish alternative Edit: It also comes with orange eyes! -

That’d be my guess too. Why would there be some random still unnamed sets in April, unless that’s the original release date for the Doomsday sets? Same goes for the alleged June Doomsday set, that one was likely intended to be a somewhat spoilery set for after the movie was initially supposed to be released. -

As with every series in the last coupla years beside Disney S3, I can’t help but wonder what it would look like had the reduction to 12 figures per series not occurred I’m very happy with the choices here, but having 4 more would’ve added so much! -

Ohhh, that’d be fun!! I could see them experiment a bit more with other pieces! The pieces used for Aunt Marge could indeed work really well for that!
