  6. That is a really nice story. I love the part about the harbormaster's pants changing colors. I also appreciate that you used my Eltina Courrier. But who is this Captain Benjamin Morgan? I seemed to have missed him or something.

  8. Nice build! The use of BURPs and vines is excellent, and the stairway is great. The rack to hold to barrels is also cool.
  9. Thank you! I'll probably crop my pictures next time. Thanks! Yes, it is Bluerender.
  10. Thank you! Thanks! I was partially inspired by some of your builds. I also wasn't aware that roof attaching technique was new. Thanks for the advice! It makes me really happy to hear that you're following my sigfig's family's story.
  11. Eltina Residence | Small Residence
  12. Eltina Residence 1 by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Eltina Residence 2 by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Though Brandon originally landed in the larger city of Breshaun, the growth of the city's population, sometimes faster than the number of buildings, has created a shortage of dwellings for newcomers to the city. Thus, many, including Brandon, are driven to Eltina, where many Oleander aristocrats have invested in the inexpensive properties there. Years before, Brandon's father, the Lord of Ladros, bought many properties in New Terra, which later were rented by newcomers from the Old World. With no success of finding a residence in Breshaun, Brandon instead stays in a recently built house on one of his father's properties in the center of Eltina. It is not the largest of houses, but it is not Brandon's plan to stay in Eltina for long, for he intends to head for the island of Stephanique. While he waits for the rest of his belongings to be shipped here, he passes the time by visiting the many properties his father owns in the Oleander colonies.

  14. Eltina Printer 1 by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Eltina Printer 2 by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Thomas was originally a printer from the capital city of Granoleon in the Old World. However, two years ago, his wife passed away from an illness, leaving only him and his daughter, 12 year old Sabine. Seeking a new life, he and his daughter set sail for the island of Le Bellan, Oleon's closest colony, landing in the town of Eltina. There, he rented a property owned by Brandon's father, a good sized house close to the town center. It has been two years now, and Thomas has gained an apprentice, Pierre, and is courting a local girl. He now runs a successful paper, the Eltina Courrier. Today, Brandon visits Thomas's shop in Eltina, part of his mission to visit all his father's properties and report on their status. Satisfied at the state of the shop, along with the success of the Eltina Courrier, Brandon wishes Thomas luck, and departs to make the latest report. Eltina Printer 3 by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Two printing related items I couldn't fit inside the shop.
  15. Nice minifig. Agreeing with Titus, it is very unique, yet you can tell he is Kaliphlinian.
  16. This is going to be my Kaliphlinian character. If I join this guild, he will become my sigfig. I might get a backstory up, but I'm not sure. Brandir by Brandon Stark, on Flickr
  17. Amazing interior. The wood on the building is very unique and superb, and the hearth is also well done. The stand is also really cool; I especially like all the items on it. Also, the little shelf on the wall is a nice addition.
  18. Hello Kaliphlin guild members. I'm thinking about joining you guys for Book 3, and to try out this guild a little bit, I would like to introduce a character. He will not be my sigfig, and I am not joining this guild. But can I still build a town/city/settlement for him here? Is it even okay to introduce a Kaliphlinian character? Thanks in advance.
  19. Thank you! Thanks! I wasn't very satisfied with the roofs either. I will try another technique next time.
  20. Part 1, Chapter 1 Part 2, Chapter 2 Albion Docks by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Brandon had feelings of uncertainty as he walked towards the Albion docks. To whom was his duty owed? He had seen starving peasants and refugees from the countryside on his way to the docks. Yet many of the High Lords were oblivious to this fact. Brandon himself was unsure. Avalonia, his own homeland, where he had been raised, desperately needed good leadership and protection. Yet here he was, marching 500 Avalonians into possible death, to a guild they had never known, a guild that cared little for the sufferings of Avalonians. However, Brandon reassured himself, These poor people will be suffering more if Raavage is not defeated. He walked on, arriving at the South Docks. The Albion South Docks were a relatively new addition to the city. Since the Avalonian Civil War, Drow raids in the countryside had caused many to flee behind the safety of the city walls. Unfortunately, the small city found it hard to accomadate such large numbers. Thus, slums popped up outside the city walls overnight, built by refugees with whatever wood they could find. The lack of a competent warden was in part responsible for the growth of these towns, where crime flourished. The South Docks, however, were built by merchants fleeing war in the south, and was notably grander than other parts of the slums. It extended across the river into Mesodraconem. Yet few nobles ever came here, preferring to use the grander North Docks for travel. Brandon walked into the docks, where he was greeted by Karlon Ironsmith. House Ironsmith was an ally to Dragonstone and Ironsmith soldiers made up the largest addition to Brandon's forces. "Good day, Lord Stark. All is going to plan. We should be able to embark soon. Also, the Steward from the Keep came here with a chest. He said it was yours." "Ah, yes, the chest. I requested to have in delivered here." Brandon motioned to a guard nearby to take the chest onto the boat. "By the way, what are our forces? I heard the Council didn't allow us to use their forces, so it is about 500?" "No, my lord. We have 700 soldiers. I brought about 200, House Mormont brought about 200, and House Tollett brought about 100. But your father arrived about a week ago with 200 soldiers from Drond's Feelds. Lord Alric probably requested them. The Council will send 1,000 soldiers if they see the cause is worth supporting." Brandon looked to his left to see two soldiers in Drond's Feelds armor walking to the ship. Yet this was a different variant. Brandon remembered they were his father's, immediately proving Lord Ironsmith's words. "Good. Hopefully we will be able to arrive in Nocturnus on time." Brandon then walked onto the ship.
  21. This is an amazing build. The level of detail just stuns me. I really like the half-timbered design, along with the cobblestone street. The building in the back gives the impression that there is a larger scene than depicted. Your story is also superb.
  22. Since I introduced my sigfig, I've been inactive for three months or more, so I'm looking for a fresh start and am going to introduce a new sigfig. Hopefully I'm allowed to do this. I hope to get involved in BoBS, though it seems much more complicated that GoH. Brandon Lantell by Brandon Stark, on Flickr Brandon Lantell is the second son of the Lord of Ladros, a port city in the northeastern part of Oleon. Originally an independent city-state, Ladros joined with Oleon in 115AE after a marriage alliance with the Oleander royal family. For nearly 500 years, Ladros, through connections with Granoleon, Ladros has grown, and become almost second to Granoleon. Brandon was a war hero from the Juniper War. In his youth, he led a small Oleander force as a decoy to hold off the much larger Corrington force until reinforcements arrived. He had also spent three years in New Terra fighting pirates before returning to Ladros. For many years now, Brandon has lived in the port city of Ladros, serving as an adviser to his father. The city has prospered and is powerful, with much influence in the Oleander court. With the rise of exploration and trade in New Terra, Brandon sees the opportunity to open up another source of income for Ladros, by making deals with the powerful trade companies. Perhaps even found a new colony to firmly plant Ladrosian influence in the New World and to provide income for Ladros. With support from many government members of Oleon, Brandon prepares to embark on an expedition to New Terra.
  23. I don't know what you mean by "status". But I'll give you a brief summary, if that's what you mean. In a few short sentences, Nocturnus is in a civil war. You can see more about that here. Avalonia has nothing special, Mitgardia has nothing special, though the Algus supports Raavage. And Kaliphlin has nothing special, though I believe they are divided between three factions after the civil war. Hope that helps. Also, the latest installment of Brandon's story is up.
