Technic 2017 Set Discussion
J_C replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
watch and learn : however central fan is missing (in F35 dorsal and belly opennings) and they are crutial for VTOL functions. So there is main part of F35 design missing, without it rear thrust vectoring is sort of pointless - or wrong if it should represent some technical feature of real plane edit: actually it looks like there is dorsal opening. my bad. -
to quote Big Lebowski: "Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man" My opinion is that this is a masterpiece without any visible flaw and stickers make it more realistic, but it would be just as impressive without them and Lego shaping and designing is brilliant. it is just like on the real car, there is also "painted" area, not a window. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQwy0IREsFqWcqeUxFi4oqPv8eY8AgEJJUqeB6lqaihqxrwr8LDVA

are these all original LEGO parts? There are studs with no logos. No disrespect, just curiosity.

Technic Technique

or mechanism from "cuckoo clock" is basically what you need. it makes a move (whatever you define it - this case rotation) at repeated periods of time (length of which can also be altered by your design) It can be done, ain't no simple task thou... -
Technic 2017 Set Discussion

LEGO tracks are never smooth. By design of your creation, you can make it more jerky, or less jerky. But it will never be fluently silky smooth. For that, John Dunlop invented the tire. Tracks have (in real life) different objectives than smoothness of the movement. edit: it is John not Joey (Joey was motorcycle racer). It took me a little while to figure out, what was wrong with my original post. My bad. -
It is a toy. Not a college degree thesis from paleontology. BTW: Neither my dog, nor my cat looks exactly like dog or cat from previous Creator animal sets either

Dinosaurs are great! My kids will love them and my inner child too!

Grohl "signs" his sets with OK (helicopter, fire plane). OK is Czech airplanes international code. -

Technic 2017 Set Discussion

After seeing ship's box other side I really like it. There is no technical marvel, build look quite simple too, but it looks like very very playable fun model. Kids will love it. -

"TRY BUILDING DIGITALLY" on the box is scary, worrisome and terrifying and bad and sad. Pray for the paper instructions! I work on the computers, I do not want to use them in the fun time. I also do not want kids to spend more time "on screens" than needed. Keep it in the real life, bro. -

yes, BMW motorcycles are shaft driven Is "try building digitally" sign of no paper instructions whatsoever policy for future? If that would be to case for future sets, I am terribly let down. -

official comment : It is great! Clever paneling, nice details, good part set! -
I wrote it before, I am writing it again. 42042 is the most underrated set ever. IMO 42042 is the best set in last 5-6 years when it comes to design, functions, MOD-ability, playability, Cmodel-ability, fun, appearance. On top of that it is not so expensive. Seems strange that general attitude towards 42042 is like: "yeah, OK" instead of adoration it deserves. GBC model is really cool!

Modular industrial. It is all about cafés, restaurants, glamorous metropolitan lifestyle. I want: Steelworks, chemical plant with tons of barrels, reservoirs, pipes, nuclear power plant, car manufacturer plant with assembly line. Also modular agriculture: serious modular farming buildings.

nobody needs your book to build these. What for are you asking money for instructions for official sets? For sets you did not design. I think you are either little kid, which is sort of an excuse, and mainly explanation for a lot. Otherwise I would kindly suggest you to wear a hat in direct sunshine.
