  1. 8030 - my first. Nothing can beat that.
  2. update: there will be new super-secret LEGO policy from now on (and forever). Sets will not be revealed at all. They will stay secret. Boxes will be all black. No artwork, no pictures. Also no names of the models. In this form boxes will arrive to the shops. Customers will just have to judge the sets according the size of the boxes and sound boxes make when gently shaken. There will be new EULA with all customers (you shake the box, you bought it policy is there too) with which you agree by buying (or shaking the box). Only at home later, you will see the set. Still no pictures allowed (not even for personal use), only registered family members can attend the building room. You will be obliged to build a big tall wall around your set. Reviews will be allowed, but without any pictures nor description.
  3. I am not hot about this set, but this...this looks great! It looks (IMO) way more attractive than original.
  4. They do not want to fake brands appear with copy counterfeit sets before their own original stuff hits the shelves. It is still futile effort. There will be fake copies later (literally week later, since they will start making copies week later, that is all), but I guess LEGO is just trying to make it harder for them. (my theory)
  5. Interesting thing: it calls 42069 "snowmobile"
  6. This is entertaining Conspiracy theories are fun. Big Foot machine and Lochness carrier and Yettivator are coming.
  7. Very nice, very original. Completely different from A-model (which is always a plus in Cmodel department). And anyway, C-models are best models.
  8. I added more information. New pictures, renders, video, instruction preview. Link to Rebrickable will be added when (if) approved there.
  9. B model does not have to use all 6 wheels. It can be anything. There is also chance there will not be any official B model (Porsche, Xerion, Unimog - no B models) (change in attachment is not real B model in my books). Nothing wrong with that, all I am saying is that it can be e.g. Wrangler kind of car, or nothing, no B model.
  10. so the real question now is: Did Jim only see it, or did he already build it?
  11. can someone, please, hint some allowed way, where one might look for forbidden picture?
  12. Your creations are always brilliant. Thank you for sharing them.
  13. I agree. I like licenced set here and there occasionally, but I do not want that as norm. LEGO is powerful enough brand on its own. LEGO does not need to just remodel existing stuff. It is not Technic issue, but to me, recently, it almost look like LEGO wants to be merchandising service for anything Disney will pop-up.
  14. so cars only, it looks like. hm.. 42068 - cool 42069 - I guess some military inspired vehicle (labeled as "jungle expedition/desert exploration" - so we do not think it is military inspired) - I guess semi tracked vehicle , wheels in the front, tracks in the back 42070 - "if in doubt, put a crane on it." However I would wished for (but probably will not be true) heavy duty 6x6 with low trailer you can put 42042,42030 or Class on it. all in all, I am very curious about colour schemes and pictures when they arrrive. Odd fellows are the best fellow. I would like that.
  15. I have never had an issue of this kind (I do not have hundreds of motors like Blakbird ) . Not with new motors, not even with old one from 80s. But I am careful with my LEGO. Something I learned as kid when LEGO was virtually impossible to get in shops and was totally expensive. My attitude to bricks is deeply embedded.
  16. look at e.g. Town section of EB. "townpeople" already discuss names and prices.
  17. list (name+prices) of H2 for StarWars and City sets surfaced (some dutch shop listed those-source: brickset+some clicking), I guess Technic names and prices are not far behind.
  18. Hi, how did you do the front windows? there is either some incredible SNOT trick or borderline miracle? anyway, train looks great!
  19. Fishing trawler would have been better. Ropes, reels, arms, nets, bunch of Lego City fish (like BWE had "rocks"), openable hull to put fish in.
  20. I think you pick the specific style of this architecture era truly well.
  21. I did not follow this thread: Is this a C-model? Or "out of the 42054 box" parts were used? Regardless the answer, it is great!
  22. Thank you for one more brilliant review. I agree with all your points. I somehow feel flight controls should be mandatory on official lego plane - it seems like car without steering. Here it is painfully missing. Thumb up for X-32 reference - I like this plane. Other thumb up for comparing with real planes and pointing out missing elevators/stabilizers. I think proportions are not good - small F-104 lookalike wings. Rudders are way too vertical to be called ruddevators, they are rudders. With this angle there would be hardly any effect to work as elevators (they would have to be close to 45deg) to be able work as both and control the plane. Inside looks really nicely designed. 360deg video is super cool.
  23. dad+son time. He will teach you something. If he is better at it, only the better. He will feel like a partner or even a teacher. You can only win, both of you.
