I used to try to "improve" bricks and minifigs by drawing on them. I really ruined a lot of them that way

Not directly an overview on all shields made, but for an overview of sets, this site: http://www.rittersets.de seems to be pretty complete. The language shouldn't be an issue here

Its not perfect (as you said, the car is a weirdo), but it has certainly character. Its a distinctive build with interesting detailing and it really has a glamour factor too I like it! The price is steep, but not terrible... in the end it comes down to wether or not it appeals to you and you find its a relevant contribution to your collection. Personally I clearly wont feel obliged to get it, just because its another modular. And there is nothing against creating your own version too. But if it says "yes!" to you: sure, get it. But you seem already elsewhere with your mind, so maybe just go for the sets which intrigues you more

A lovely departure from the usual knight-and--castle focus of medieval MOCs. Amazing arrangement and building: the cart is simply perfect and the little details like the cloth-lines are a perfect icing on the cake

I agree. The planes released this year is quite underwhelming in general. The passenger jet is made of mostly large pieces with little secondary usability and the freight plane looks also very "compact", if not stubby. Sadly, as the pound is at the moment, Lego doesn't looks to get much cheaper, and on top of that their pricing policy is pretty bold lately anyway.

Would WARCRAFT fit the TLG guidelines?
Littleworlds replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Afaik it takes up to 2 years for a set from the earliest planning stage till its release, so I guess a whole theme would take at least as long to realize, plus license negotiations. They would indeed be pretty late if they start it now On the other hand, if it fares good enough for a sequel... I am not really a WoW fan, but I certainly wouldn't mind a fantasy theme... -

With the best intentions though And are you seriously going to tell me this threat isn't about bashing other people's ideas? -

I haven't looked at any of the projects shown here and I seriously doubt the point of this threat. There are nicer things to spend your time with than negativism. -
[MOC] Airport Stair Vehicle for Classic Planes
Littleworlds replied to Severus A's topic in LEGO Town
Nice little vehicle. It has an elegant design and the passengers seem pretty pleased too! Its certainly nicer than jumping on and off the plane. Ruins the whole holiday experience Also bonus points for the orange goggles the driver is wearing. Makes them look nicely mad- 12 replies

MOC Maras Outpost- Spacebase, Spacebase, SPACEBASE!
Littleworlds replied to ZCerberus's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Very cool base. To me it has an almost medieval flavour with the tower and the sloped bricks everywhere. And what an achievement to put it together in one week! -
Earth likely, but indeed... these pesky humans are a bit concerning. Who knows, maybe until then there will be a minifig utopia. I am sure they wou!d do better

A bookstore to fall in love with! It looks pretty tiny at first glance, but then, when you look inside, you realize that it makes the best of its space available and that its absolutely enough: great use of space!

Now that's quite a rocket! The car looks amazing and is a very good example that the right accents can do so much to create a great look

Minecraft  That is the only current theme that really makes me shake my head at each new release. What are they thinking
-
Taking into consideration how lackluster the last castle theme was and how much advertisement and effort have been put into nexo knights, I think they are here to stay. Possibly as long as ninjago, if they are popular. And even if nexo knignts fails, does that means that they will simply go back to classical castle themes? Probably not, considering that the hobbit/LotR habe been cancelled prematurely. I think when there is general interest in medieval themes and tolkien-style fantasy, TLG would maybe even have them running parallel to nexo knignts, but so far it seems there isnt really a demand apart from the AFOL-faction, and we are the smaller customer group still So I would wholeheartely welcome a proper medieval theme, but I dont see it happen in the next couple years

I just got a vision of a global sh*tstorm towards nasa for that, which makes them to abandon their crash-plans...

These will probably make record-prices at bricklink... in a couple hundred years time Until then: ...to boldly go, where no Minifig has gone before...

Hello helibg! its a tricky question! If you start with literally zero bricks, you might look into getting some smaller sets - maybe starter sets - to get the feel back. That's what I did, till I got hold on my old Lego from my parents place and added up my bricks from there. So maybe after some starter/midsize sets, a visit to bricklink or ebay would do well to get some brick quantity.

From top of my head and with total subjectivity I say that the Forest Maiden and the Viking Woman are my favourites. More may follow!

REVIEW: 5004419 - Classic Knights Minifigure

Who knows: maybe its a little heads-up to the proper castle fans telling them they haven't forgotten us yet- 21 replies

Amazing build and pictures! I like how you can open the sides and front of the ship. That makes it so much more versatile. Excellent idea!

Very nice effect!
