  1. Thank you all for the replies! Nice to see my stuff produces a grin or two Lego is just ideal for busy "where is Waldo"-style pictures and once I start, the ideas usually simply flow. Star Wars makes it pretty easy too. Everybody knows the characters and especially Vader and the Emperor radiate this super-seriousness that makes it so inviting to make fun of them As for Darth Lavaria (yes, its not Bikini Maul!): That is pretty simple. I took her Minifig from the Ultimate Lavaria set and just added a black cape - that's it. I would also give her a black-hilted red lightsaber or two or a double bladed one to underline her chaotic wickendness- I really like that Minifig
  2. The super-laser is installed, the bar has been equipped, party decorations hung up, the PA is ready and all invitations have been sent – the dark side really knows how to party! While the emperor and Darth Vader raise a toast on this new jewel of interstellar destruction, a Stormtrooper discovers the wonders of Karaoke! The Inquisitor rules the catering department. Daft Tron on the turntables, Darth Lavaria has a chat with an imperial officer. Always the same story: he drinks too much, takes over the turntables and starts playing 70s disco… In the meanwhile, Darth Vader realizes that mixing Saurian Brandy with Alderaan-Whiskey (rare!) wasn’t a good idea. Of course he will blame the music. And he will clearly remember the usefulness of this duct at some later point… More pictures and (a review of the set) on my blog! I hope you enjoy the party just as I do
  3. Wow, this thing is quite a monster! In the best sense of the word Very suiting for any orc-related purposes. Very nice. I love the vivid structuring on ground and walls. That really brings it to life
  4. Very good and hilariously funny scene! The dragon looks like serious trouble and the wall is just superb
  5. This is absolutely lovely and a pretty unique idea too. Highly apprechiated! Its good to see a happy and creative build like yours!
  6. This is mad and evil - makes it great! I also like the perspective. Gives the picture depth!
  7. The bird looks really cute and lifelike and has some character. Hard to describe, bit it certainly has. Lovely work!
  8. I'm also planning to update the prototype into a proper TIE Advanced, since the new set, which just got released isn't really convincing me. The fighter is way too small there. I don't want a compact-car version of it The actual modding shouldn't be difficult really. There are lots of blueprints, photos and models of it available
  9. I guess there is a big part of Lego-nostalgia playing part in my stance that I don't want to use any non-Lego parts in my creations. This and the fact that I am more the type who sees it as challenge to try to find solutions with the pieces I have, instead of looking to obtain just the ideal one for a certain purpose. I am usually not keen on the idea of a closed brand-system, but little building bricks are the big exception for me
  10. You caught its appearance perfectly - and in this scale: Amazing work! I also like the short overview text. Very well written!
  11. Hello there! I don't own the set, but in my opinion it is nothing spectacular piece-wise with its 1200 rather common white/trabs bricks. Nothing you wouldn't get on bricklink for a fraction of the price. The sorting tray and the guide book might be the only really interesting parts of the set really. I think getting a "normal" book on architecture, plus looking at Lego MOCs for interesting techniques will probably be just as useful.
  12. This looks very cool! A great and pretty dangerous looking jungle. Just ideal for hidden treasures, traps, ambushes snd betrayals!
  13. Just amazing. It catches the proper mediterranean style perfectly and the interiors are looking very convincing too
  14. Here a shot I made from a slightly different angle. Enjoy!
  15. Thank you all for the replies. They made me laugh a lot too In my excitement when posting I made a silly typo. Of course it should mean "fully equipped", not "filly". At least I didn't wrote filthy, I guess
  16. Hamburger Grill. Not many people know that the emperor’s secret passion was actually barbecuing. Many many times he wondered if he should quit it all and start his own hamburger stand instead. In this universe he did! He got a lot of faithful customers and the galaxy became a better, more peaceful place. Well, until a certain Luke Skywalker opened a salad bar. But that’s another story. Everyone likes his hamburgers… that’s an order: Looks like that damn sparker is broken again!
  17. That looks like massive fun! Amazing model. Its a sheer joy to let your eyes wander over the crazy detailing. I love it!
  18. Excellent build and a very tasteful arrangement - just lovely! Although I'm quite jealous on the large castle doors you used. I really need to dig these up somewhere!
  19. Purchase plan? Seriously? No purchase plan survives its first contact with a toystore here
  20. That park looks lovely! And its nicely framed with beautiful buildings too. Very good job!
  21. I got the Death Star Final Duel as well, since it was reduced. Nice and quite heavy little set and very stylish. I will write an extensive review on it in the next days
  22. A Steampunk theme would be amazing. I would also like a revival of the monster fighters who came and went sadly shortly before I got back into Lego. So yeah, why not combine both. The league of the extraordinary Minifigs or something like that
  23. The plaque is from my partner and has been used to build Gerbil-labyrinths... kids, I tell you We found it amongst other space pieces in the attic a couple of months ago. Was a great find
  24. Really fantastic. The more you look at it the more it sucks you in with its incredible details... hard to name them all. From the very convincing looking snow, to the slightly curved roof, to the lovely floor-work inside, and the interior in general. Wonderful!
  25. Oh great brick - these look awesome! The faces and their stances are so expressive! Just fantastic! I am not familiar with Discworld, but we have most (if not all) of Pratchett's books kicking around at the Littleworlds HQ, so I will eventually direct my attention to them
