  1. Of course! You cant have a beach without a sandcastle! Looks great
  2. Thank you for this well written and photographed review. You just taught me something new: Initially I didnt expect to find anything I didnt already know, but I was utterly unaware of this sub-theme! The prints look pretty basic compared to today, but its 20 years ago already. The holograms are really cool and I haven't seen anything like that in Lego before.
  3. Weird little scene. I like it! You play cleverly with perspective and proportions - and also giving me quite a smile. Splendid work!
  4. As far as I can say - after having bought the Penguin's Arctic Roller and the Pizza Van, I don't really noticed a difference to instructions from former years. Also I find there are really worse polluters on this planet, especially since TLG actually makes products from oil (which last decades if handles properly) instead of simply burning it, like most cars and many power plants still do
  5. I like the hotrod on top most. Elegant and simple. Really cool. The black and white vintage cars are pretty sweet too, maybe a bit small though (no, I am not referring to the penguin's arctic roller for sizing ).
  6. The plane looks very impressive. It must been a lot of work to get the shape and all the functions right - great job As for engines: The plane looks to me like something from WW2 era, so it should be a radial engine, just as omardib21 built it. Rotary engines were widespread in the first couple of years of WW1, were a dead end and got outclassed by in-line and V-type engines by about late 1916/early 1917. Radials were very rare and only used in small numbers in that conflict.
  7. This looks very good! You paid a lot of attention in creating little scenes which makes your city/outpost look very lively and appropriately colourful. Just how I would expect the Caribbean around that time. I also like the loose translucent pieces for the water. That creates a wonderful glittering effect with nice colour transitions.
  8. Lovely vintage car. You got the look pretty perfect and stayed nicely in scale as well. I also really like how you made the doors. So very simple, yet the perfect pieces for them! The ones in the links look very good as well, but this one stays my favourite. Its just a brilliant and smooth interpretation.
  9. Nice mod! I really like the style of the car and you did it very well. I might have a go with mine and a monochrome filter as well. Looks really good and underlines its elegant shape!
  10. Spectacular build! Its not easy to get the shape and proportions right, but you really nailed it. I like old airplanes and the 1920s are the era when they evolved from adventurous (and hazardous) vehicles to serious means of transportation. Though mass transportation was still a couple of decades away. Nice to see such things in Lego P.S. I don't quite get the undercarriage. Is there a mechanism of some sorts?
  11. I have to admit, I haven't read the books (or watched the films), but from what I heard and saw, she is an amazing character. Alone the style and having an actress who really pulls it off - very cool
  12. Very cool scene. I almost expect them to move all over the place, working on their entrenchments, inspecting things, etc - so in one word (well, actually two): very lively. Also great use of vegetation!
  13. Lovely take on the classical creator-style houses. The interior also looks very welcoming, you really want to move in As for the roof over the balcony: Maybe a bit of an overhang (2 studs maybe), as fully covering it might visually block it too much. But thats not really a serious point of criticism. The house just looks so good
  14. Looks great! The computers are elegantly built and look very proper. Really neat For the screens I would have chosen command-lines instead of windows though - that would make it an Über-Nerd's lab
  15. It is very nice to see someone having a go on one of the most iconic planes ever made . You got the overall silhouette very well, but I miss some refinement on it. It has a very smooth-lined, organic shape and I strongly recommend using rounded slope pieces and SNOT techniques. I know I might ask a lot. Lego isn't really the medium to create shapes like that, but as a beautiful plane the Blackbird is, its definitely worth a try, if you ask me
  16. Looks very cool. I have to say, I didnt recognize the airplane wings, so great use of them! I like the concept. Its not something you often see made in Lego and the execution is great. Also fun to see a punk hanging around the place as well
  17. Looks superb! The beach hut is appropriatly ramshackle and the clutter and foliage work very well too, as does the landscaping. Nice build.
  18. Brilliantly done. Overall lines are just perfect and I really enjoy the stonework. A wonderful example of brick built real-life buildings.
  19. This is marvellous! Lovely characters and a truly amazingly build stage. This should definitely be an official set.
  20. They look really good. Nicely gnarly with lush foliage. Impressive!
  21. Truly amazing looking ships! Sadly I look at them with mixed feeling due to the paint on them, but I have to say it works great on them.
  22. Looks nicely aggressivd as it should be for blacktron. Maybe some added greebling and an additional colour for detail. Dark grey? Or increase the amount of yellow? Anyway. Nice fighty fighter!
  23. Very cool shaping and colour combination. Such little ship with great use of parts Not so sure about the helmets, but - why not
  24. Awesome! A beautiful little scene. I like the combination of old and new pieces here. The guy in the racing suit is likely in his 30s
  25. Very nice! The tractor looks super realistic for minifig scale and corn does pretty well too! This said, it is evident that the pictures work fine for me as well
