  1. Beautiful shaping! The rather bold colour scheme fits well to it. Like something made for acrobatic displays.
  2. Very good models! It is pretty crazy how long some of these types have been in use!
  3. Excellent use of parts. I really like how you recreated its distinct colour-scheme and the typical Interceptor-shape in such a small scale. Very inventive, very cute build!
  4. Hallo Juan! Welcome to Eurobricks!
  5. Nice one! I assume you appropriately built this after visions haunting you in your nightmares. Good job!
  6. This reminds me of the TNG Enterprise I built before my own dark ages. I have to say, your Voyager looks better!
  7. Really great idea to MOC those TLM2 sets. They look so good and quirky. Especially with such an aspect-ratio
  8. Prices usually get up to quite silly levels so I actually never looked!
  9. Hello Kev, welcome to Eurobricks! I really like your idea of building your own house in Lego. Some elements are quite tricky to recreate and often you have to 'cheat' a little to get the desired look. Looking at your plans, I would not try to use the trussing as actual structural elements and instead maybe do something like the struts on the Black Ace Tie Interceptor, where they are just there for the looks (maybe a bit more elegantly implemented though ) For the walls, I'm thinking of 1x4 slope pieces. And 1x3 ones for the smaller roof. I think they come closest to the desired angles, give or take a couple of degrees.
  10. I agree with Wesley D. The set looks good and is well equipped with accessories. It needs a bit of modding to get more floorspace and realism in, but it is certainly a very good foundation.
  11. Quite an exciting design. I really like it. Sleek, different, fast looking.
  12. Looking good! Especially the headpiece is quite a piece of intimidation.
  13. Then welcome Denis!
  14. Hello Denise and welcome to Eurobricks! I'm sorry to hear about your Lego collection and not having a pc. Maybe you still can get some inspiration from the builds here!
  15. This looks very good. The detailing of the interiors and exterior is phantastic! Very busy, lived-in scenes. Something I like a lot. The only little criticism I have is that I wont have given the castle walls an overhang. But that's all really. Brilliant build all in all!
  16. Hmm, about the rise in AFOL-numbers... we of course are not the target audience for a lot of themes nevertheless. Rather Architecture and Creator Expert than Ninjago and Hidden Side, if you get my drift. I'm quite happy with the distribution of sets and themes btw. With a bit of an open mind I think you can find something nice everywhere.
  17. This is just lovely! It looks so friendly and happy and there isn't a bad angle or anything on it.
  18. I think a lot of the shorter-lived sets we AFOLs enjoy simply didn't prove so popular amongst TLG's target audience, which is kids. People socialized in the recent, 5 to 10 years or so certainly have different interests and preferences than folks in their 30s and 40s. We might like stuff like ancient egypt or classic-hollywood monsters. But children might have no concept about these things at all. It looks like quite a steep challenge for adult set designers to get their heads around what kids like. Often enough though, they make something adults like
  19. To be fair, I don't know if Monster Fighters was a popular line back in its day. It just got discontinued when I got out of my dark ages, so I just missed it (and missed picking up some really good special offers too...). The theme was very classic Hollywood monsters and I have my doubts if that was a popular thing in general back then. After all, universal made quite a belly-flop with their monster-universe too. Personally I like their aesthetics a lot and would get definitely several sets if they would be released today. As for Hidden Side, it is quite charming, but having it limited pretty much only to ghosts and ghostly possessions feels quite... ermm limiting to me. The sets and characters fit nicely into Lego City though, so thats something. The augumented reality-aspect is a nice idea, in paper, but seems to lack depth of gameplay and the hardware requirements seem indeed quite steep. Its visually certainly ambitious, but maybe came a couple years too early. I think a more subtle and more broadly accessible way of using AR would have been the path to take.
  20. That Niels is quite a character. Dinsosaur-fan through and through, Thor's hammer pendant around the neck - I have to say, I like him, even if I find the final Dinosaurs a bit too comical. And seeing that he did The Black Seas Barracuda and the King's Castle - wow!
  21. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks!
  22. I opened your thread expecting another run-off-the-mill space train design and was really delighted to see something so nicely and boldly different. I really like it! The doors may not physically work, but I am sure there is an easy fix for that.
  23. Oh they look great! Cute little brick-biter!
