Looks very good! Colours, shaping, the slightly surreal landscape - it all works very well together and creates this characterful and cozy retro-scifi-feel I really like.

Very good review. It covers the important aspects of the set (including the assembly) nicely and your photos are clear and cover probably everything an interested reader needs to see. There is only one criticism really and that is about the lighting. There are quite strong shadows on the picture that need some additional lighting from the front. Ideal would be a light tent, or a neutral background with a 3-light setup (of course, that gets trickier with larger sets, I can tell from my own experience...). Anyway, this little snag aside, there isn't really anything to criticise here. Keep the reviews coming!

Nice piece of action! But shy do I have a bad feeling about expecting him to yield? -
I think it really depends on the building. The plates do have the typical road markings on them, so I find that limits their use quite a lot. None of the sets you mention above really has the need for those inside. For a parking garage it would be fine, though. Or for leading a tunnel underneath a building.

Castle - Fantasy Era (2007-2009)
Littleworlds replied to Captain Fortune's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sadly I came too late for the party as well. A lot of those sets look really excellent. Very appropriate fantasy-stuff. At least I got some Kingdoms-sets from the 2010-12 era as well. Their Minifigs have some of the best prints and colour-schemes. Sadly right now there doesn't exactly seems to be demand for fantasy, at least not outside of Star Wars and Harry Potter. -

Yay! More comic! Now that is a really lovely car. Looks quite Gerry Anderson to me -

The sets are so inventive! I love reading your story and gawk at the designs you came up with. Too bad its just a few pages every monday, but I understand: quality takes time. -
Very nicely done! As an owner of the set, it looks really familiar, and the colours work well. Though I find it a quite a bold choice to have a skunk as pet...

I agree with @Faladrin. Yellow for accents might work better than having it as a dominant colour. Building in Lego is always a bit of juggling compromises, which can be quite fun in its own right. The ship hull looks so far really good. The white area you carried over from the Black Seas Barracuda helps with keeping it looking light, despite being substantially taller than in the original ship. Works well! The figurehead is an excellent choice btw. She is one of my favourite minifigures.

[MOC] Polar Bear In Arctic & Lion From Africa.
Littleworlds replied to Vincent Q's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very cute and characterful. I really like the polar bear mom's happy face when she is with her cub. The little landscape patches also work really well. Especially the one the lion is standing on. You can almost hear some little rocks getting knocked loose by his big paws and sent rolling down that slope.- 3 replies

Wow! They look brilliant! You caught the essence of each scene spot on. Really impressive. Especially considering that you didn't only build one or two scenes.

It looks so simple and clean, but shows a lot of attention to detail. The wall-structure with the plaster coming off does very well, as does the interplay between wooden elements and stonework. There are so many ways a predominantly white building could have been built boring - but this has so much going on, yet looks nice and tidy. I love it

We all get our inspirations from somewhere. Nothing comes from nothing. Still very nicely done!

It looks really striking. Very nice. Clean and neat and quite realistic with its outer design and interior. Is it made after a particular real building?
-
Looks good! I like how you show a rather mundane scene that is yet an important and so very familiar part of modern life - down to the much-too-true waste of taxpayers money. The cockpit is especially well done and looks very realistic with its massive consoles. The wings do look a bit undersized for the plane though. Maybe increase their size by 20, 25%. I would also consider smoothen the studded surfaces with tiles and round slopes.

Prelude: Even a Feather Can Tip the Scales
Littleworlds replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is really cool. Those wings are really stunning; very well done shaping. They give the dragon a lot of dynamic and grace. The landscaping looks good as well and the flowers blooming everywhere resonate nicely with its colour.- 8 replies

Once again you delight us with an elegant and inventive build that has this special comic/cartoon charm that makes them almost irresistibly cute. Nah, you can cross out the 'almost'!

[MOC] Pink Floyd - Building All The Albums
Littleworlds replied to Retro's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Its nice to see one of my favourite Pink Floyd albums represented here. It is maybe a bit underrated compared to something like Dark Side of the Moon. I would give the heads more depth and texture though. If you look at the source material, they don't only have quite visible riveting, that helps creating the shapes of the heads. The heads themselves are also very 3D. Its easiest visible at the eyes, which are clearly recessed, while the nostrils, for example are slightly raised. Maybe this effect can be created better if the heads are built from tiles and plates. Certainly not a trivial task, but these on first glance so simple heads are actually not that simple.- 73 replies

Looks good. The desk is nice and deep and the corner gives good opportunities to create a plaza maybe.

[MOC] Trash Compactor - Star Wars Episode4
Littleworlds replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This looks almost better than the real one. Very well executed (pun not intended!). Colours, shapes, random clutter, camera angle and positioning of the characters - it all works together brilliantly. -

So much murder - this starts to feel like game of thrones! Once again excellently photographed and build as well.
