LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I can't quite visualise what you mean as I don't have the set but I'm interested to see the difference. As for the picture not uploading, Eurobricks can't really host images, so what most people tend to do is use an external image hosting service. Personally I use flickr but there are other options. -

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Amen to that. People who don't like it are often in echo chambers so they think no one likes it but actually it's done pretty well from what I've seen. I enjoyed it ( not saying it's perfect, they did mishandle one of my favourite characters from the High Republic books), but even if you didn't we don't them to set a precedent where they can just ignore shows and stuff. Now the show isn't inappropriate for children or anything ( at least not more so than the other more intense SW things), and it had a lot more hype pre-release than Skeleton crew ( which TBH looks like more of the same whereas the Accolyte was something difficult) so I'm still hoping something might come. I mean it's very obvious that Skeleton crew was initially meant to release first. (Also there was a vector in the show but it was very blik and you missed it, and it was Yord's not Sol's. It's how he and Tasi arrived on the trade Federation ship) Anyway the fact that I said I liked a popular show and thought they were missing out by ignoring it, did not need to be followed up by people saying they thought sets on it would sell because they'd seen dislike for the show. I did not enjoy The Rise of Skywalker, but I'm not gonna pretend a revised Palpatine set wouldn't catch some eyes. The sets that do poorly are rarely unique and interesting or are just overpriced in the first place, like the Slab of grey for Obi-wan ( which despite fan reception was one of if not the most popular star wars shows released, especially among kids, iirc only Mando did better) or the insanely price Andor set ( which I would have picked up if I'd realised how poor a job TLG was gonna do at covering most of the shows as I'm not expecting many more Andor sets). Anyway in other discussion I very much agree that they've messed up Crumbs eyes. -

(This is obvious hyperbole) Sometimes one has to wonder if Lego even likes money. The buildable chopper is apparently $100 so wouldn't be in scale with this year's R2 another L. I won't completely give up hope on Accolyte sets because even the more reliable leakers didn't exactly have an 100% accuracy rate last year. -
I've looked into this riddle at the heart of Lego city and I have solved it. Lego city isn't suffering as you might conclude,! It's a goddamn paradise! But a paradise for the living. All these crooks are committing crimes for the thrill, not for survival. There is no poverty in Lego City. One might think of Lego City as a police state. One would be wrong. For in Lego city the only true currency is that of play. Corncob knows this. Their prisons are little more than fancy escape rooms to keep the city wilder inhabitants entertained... Entertained and distracted..... Money is not (and had never been) a problem in Lego City. Look at the some of the facilities Lego city lacks; No food bank, no soup kitchen, no homeless shelter. You could incorrectly conclude from this that Lego City simply does not care for its poorest denizens. But I do not think that that is the case at all!!! They are far better taken care of than those in real life. They have never made a Lego estate agent. Because buying a house is not really part of the equation in Lego City. If a citizen wants a new home they can simply build it!!! Remember that the citizens of Lego city are not humans! They are minifigs, and minifigs have different needs, simpler needs, needs that are easier to meet. Minifigs cannot starve, they do not die of exhaustion or thirst! So crimes are not commited out of necessity in Lego City, hopefully I have convinced you of that. However there is one crime that plays as an exception to this rule. One forgotten crime, one we rarely see on the front of boxes for Lego sets. One that is kept hidden and yet is probably one of the 5 most common types of crime in Lego City. A crime which the city does not encourage but cannot prevent. One which the city is always prepared for. A crime Corncob would have us forget. I would have you think back to the services we know are not provided in Lego City. No I am not thinking of something relatively obscene like a spermbank or a brothel. I am thinking of a funeral home. Death is a simple fact of life. Death must happen in Lego city. No the crime I speak of is not murder, but it is still very connected to death, in ways that might not yet be obvious. No perhaps you wondering how I am so sure of death, when I have previously underlined the differences between humans and minifigs. But you can look at the people of Lego city and see death is real in their society. They age they are not all the same age and some sets even suggest timelines of family's and aging. And what is aging? Well aging past the point of full development and maturity (25 years in humans thought minifig years seem different) is simply the body withering away, becoming weaker, cells dying. No I know that old age is not a true of death but it is the cause of the causes, of organ failure and susceptibility to disease. Now who can say how the organs and diseases of Lego city work? But we know they have hospitals. And why for the treatment of injuries and diseases surely? And we have pretty much have established that aging is after a certain point simply a path to death. A path minifigs can do naught but walk. Outside of Lego city we have seen graveyards, another point towards the existence of death. We have seen thier corpses. But mainly as either undead or Skeletons. Undeath is an interesting process but not entirely relevant right now, especially you can go straight from alive to undead without being dead in-between so we shall ignore undeath here. Skeletons are the focus of my next point. I have established that Lego city does not have funeral home or indeed crematoriums. And that death exists and most of dead we see are skeletons. So I am concluding that out mystery crime is Arson. The skeletons have no flesh! Perjyit was charred off, leaving only bone! Maybe this is the city's unofficial way of dealing with thier dead, we even know that skeleton parts exist in black! Perhaps from fires that burnt too long and ended up blackening the bone!!! So in conclusion the only *real* crime committed in Lego City is arson, which is used as a way of dealing with the dead. Afterall the police state thoery only explains the bloated police forse not the enormous fire brigade! While illegal this crime is committed by normal minifigs in regular clothes not the cosplay criminals who always wear those prison jumpsuits! Perpetrators of arson for funeral purposes aren't prosecuted as it the city a d Corncob takes pity on them and the traditional minifig funeral practices ( afterall dead have been Skeletons since the days of castle at the very least!). But that's just a theory. A Cremation theory Also revealed at SDCC was a Batman forever Batmobile from MacFarlane toys. If other companies are starting to merchandise the Schumacher films more heavily perhaps TLG will join in?

Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was kinda hoping for something like the weird influencers sonic eggman they sent out. Not this. It is very funny though. I can see what they were going for with hot-air balloon panel but those sorts of awkward seams are much more forgivable on mechanical things than organic. Especially creatures. Weird to do shadow before Sonny himself? But this funnier so I can respect that. I kinda wanna get it just because I think it's very funny. But it doesn't look good so I'm not willing to pay much. But if I see it significantly discounted ( which I can't see why I wouldn't be ( sorry)) then I'll get it. For both the scale and concept I think they did a decent job. But why? He's so. No word after so just so. He's so very so. The So-est, the most so. He really is so. -
Woo, very intentional tournament of elements vibes and it works. This might not be the only buildable trigon a Lego DC wishlist wave we see this year. I think Dick makes a better Bruce than Bruce makes a Dick? But that's just looks I'm on about. Definitely an interesting choice to make Bruce stand in for Dick. I'm intrigued by the absolute line. Is it a while separate universe? I'd like that, easier to jump into. Superman has nice hair, Diana's accessorising with tats and bigass sword but Batman looks like he turned all his adopted children into protein shakes and drank them down with a barrel full of steroids. It's an interesting team for the league. Starfire is the next titan serving a term after cyborg I guess? Beast Boy next? Booster seems to be picked because they know he's gonna get a movie but it's nice to see him anyway. I hope most people wear underwear, why's that considered weird comic book stuff? If not power armour then perhaps his weird jumpsuit. The one he wore to steal those forty you-know-whats ( and that's as many as four tens and that's terrible) I kinda like that head, I used it for a minifig of me... but I usually use the shire Frodo ( though I wear glasses but they're not on as many heads, hopefully we'll get a glasses Clark head this year) You cooked, though I'm not sure what some of builds would look like, like rise of Nekron or lantern brawl. But if these were real they'd all be on my wishlist. Also wooo Razer mention!!!! I recently watched YJ S4 ( still annoyed at no proper UK release but I gave up my morals and watched *Ahem* improperly ) and I was disappointed with how little he was in it, his appearance I knew about but I thought he was gonna have a bigger part. Still hoping they haven't forgotten about YJ s5. Or a potential GLtAS continuation. Day one buy, yes! If you're brave enough I beseech you to find the name change thread, become THELEGOSUPERMAN ( the hero this thread deserves) This wasn't the turtle line I meant to quote here? But I'm playing with too many quotes in one thread to risk going back and editing the quote selection. A goon face That is very surprising to me. I kinda thought that layer of print between bricks might have an effect on build tolerances or something? Like not an individual scale but still something they'd avoid at a design level? I guess not, I mean it does happen all the time with heads at torsos but I through brick to brick might be different? Paradox detected Yeah just get 2 sets and use extra parts to get em all done if you what all. 200 is a lot for that. God it's brutal out here. I feel like you don't need 7 copies of the set to makes those 7. Only as OP as the writers want him to be at any given moment? A marvel video, you posted this in the wrong neighborhood That is good to see. Can any of us truly be sure at given moment of anything at all? Including whether or not we and all that we consider to be ourselves is not truly of our own existence and understanding? Are we not perhaps the Furbys ourselves and he then not the 15 humans in a trench coat? Why does a trench own a coat?
-
I mean whilst I understand that is a disappointment but TBH they're not complicated, most of the build could guessed pretty easily from the pictures there, all you really need is a picture from the back. I'd still say get it over brick linking the unique parts, the rrp is only twice that off an individual Brickhead and I wouldn't be surprised if get sold for 25% off at some point. Polls are for matters of opinion, it is a matter of fact that both of these statements are false. Given the 2025 regular retail set list has more DC sets in January than we had all year Lego DC might the least dead it's been for years, and noone is forcing TLG to make DC sets so if they hated DC they simply wouldn't make any DC products.

Looking good, not much new to see but we do see Strahd and Tasha's alt faces, as well as the cover of Tasha's spell book. Also a better look at the sorcerer's armprinting, which I hadn't noticed before but zooming in on the leaked tick list render you can see it there too. And now that I know to look for I can see armprinting on Tasha( maybe, not 100% on her but I think so) and dual moulded arms on the dwarf. There are some others where I still can't tell as neither picture has a good angle on the arms. Obviously we have the image from the catalogue now, but it was pretty much confirmed the second we saw the Ideas set as the Githyanki in the CMF has the same hair/ear part as that sets Elf just recoloured. A fake picture wouldn't really be likely to have had an unknown but real part on it.- 686 replies

When you start getting close to how many animals...
Agent Kallus replied to Abobo187's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A swing and a hit for me, I'll admit I chuckled. My poor cat doesn't even get allowed into the room where I keep the vast majority of my Lego. She does tend to leave it alone though ( well the Lego in other rooms, she not managed to break into the Lego room) but occasionally I have caught her up to mischief. Bapping the robotic princess peach down the corridor... -
LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, that wasn't what I was getting at. They obviously have a market and they sell ( they wouldn't keep making them if they didn't). I even quite like some of them ( Rex and Cody helmets will be mine before they retire!!) . It's just that it feels like they're being made in spite of more system sets. But because they have different audiences I feel like they made both at once and still have both lines not really eat into each others profits. Hell make it a separate theme ( call it Lego replica or something) and you can include multiple licenses under it (Brickheadz, ART, Icons and previously Bricksketches all did/do this so it's not a strange new concept). Put your star wars helmets together with your Thor's Hammer, Your Lantern Power Battery, Your Dobby's Sock, whatever. This frees up more room for playsets in what used to be called playthemes. And it's not that I want to buy every set, but the more variety we get the more likely we are getting something interesting. When the range of sets shrink you still have keep the essentials: (X-wing, Tie, Falcon, Clone BPs) but when so many slots are always gonna be used up by these essentials it means we get less variety , we are less likely to get anything new and interesting to long term collectors. I mean even the fun zany new subline is just an X-wing, a Tie, a Falcon and a jedi Starfighter!!!! And so the less slots we have to fill we still have the same number of 'essential' things to cover. I've not seen it ( it depends on my shift how early I can watch) but I still have a bit of hope for set/sets. But out of curiosity who are you calling the 4 main characters? Because it's not consistent episode to episode. -

Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Exclusive news and an official tease or reveal of the CMF or just a few figures. Elaborating here instead. Remember this isn't me ranking them based on how much I like them but on how massable they are. On how good it would be to have multiple copies. 12 - The Lady of Pain : - Robes are reusable but we massable than armour or anything, the head is very 11 - Szass Tam A very individual character but you could use him for other Thayan Red Wizards or undead but then kind look like clones. 10 - Tasha Witchey robes, human head and spell time. 9 - Strahd Could use his parts for other Nobles or Vamps but they're not as reusable as something like the ranger uniform. The rats will be fun to collect a little group of. 8 - the Tiefling Sorcerer This one would have been lower if not for the brilliant baby dragon. The robes look kinda awkward ( ironic considering sorcerer is my favourite class to play as). The spell effect is pretty cool to have a few of too and the horn hair will be great. The tail only works for orange Tiefs, which is understandable but the horn hair is more adaptable. 7 - Aarakocra Ranger The torso is great and multiples would be great. The legs however make harder to just swap species with a head swap ( the bards legs do look like they'd match up) also harder to make aarakocra of offer classes. But he aarakocra head, legs and wings do allow for making more aarakocras which is nice. And an animal is always a plus. 6 - Githyanki Warlock The ears, the ears! Honestly more useful for yellow skinned elves than Gith. I think of green or orange skinned Githyanki before yellow but it will be more useful for compatible yellow heads from the thousands that exist so that's great! The robes are really nice but not something you need a lot of. It's only this high for the hair/ears part! The head is nice for other Gith too but like I say I wouldn't want a huge group of Githyanki were they are all yellow. 5 - Half elf bard Legs can work anywhere! Great new ear hair ( I'll give a spare to my Minifigs.Me Astarion). The clothes are nice for a civilian on the more fancy side. The scarf part is nice to get again ( though a more neutral colour might've been more adaptable, this works well for bard). The lure is nice too but a new instrument like a lyre might have been more interesting. 4 - Halfling Druid I LOVE the antler hood. Multiple copies of this could make a nice little circle of druids ( though usually druids aren't this uniform). The little bird is lovely too. 3 - Dwarf Barbarian You could make a nice little army with this one. The new axe and the torso will be brilliantly massable. 2 - Mind flayer After playing a lot of BG3 recently and army of mind flayers is quite the appealing prospect. 1 - Dragonborn Paladin. Full plate armour! Sheild! Mace! All that's missing is a helmet. A well deserved numero Uno!!! The dragonborn head is less massable but incredibly cool.- 686 replies

Do we think it's directly based on the spider-verse animated films or more of a Morb-mobile/sewer smash situation?
