Lego 'Wednesday' rumours and discussion.

Weird that we've seen it heard nothing more of this but have had quite a bit for wicked, I thought they were both coming at around the same time. -
LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to THELEGOBATMAN's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm most interested to see the Villains builds ( which unfortunately we have been getting less of recently) I'm guessing we'll have the Forbidden five as the villains. It'd be nice if they each had something. A huge meaning beast would be cool ( perhaps an evil source dragon though a non-dragon would be more different and could be cool). Location sets are always my preference too as Ninja vehicles can get samey ( so I hope we see more for the new team members as that'd be more interesting than more for the core 6 ) I'm afraid I never really got into it, the only Chima sets I have are some polybags that came with newspapers and a few speedorz that were on special offer. At first I did have a did of a childish prejudice against it because it (kinda) replaced Ninjago, I did get over that and there were some cool sets but it was never a high enough priority for me to buy with my then extremely limited budget. -

Apparently the unknown minifig with Bob's Starfighter will be a Mon Calamari clone trooper? Like a Mon calamari in clone armour? This from lifebricks though and he's not known to me as a trusted source ( though it adds up from what Max Bautde said) -

Kinda glad that the figs in X-wing V Tie are nothing to write home about because I wasn't a set I was planning on getting anyway. I do remember an action figure line of Astromechs with that name, it's probably harking to that. ( Though the idea of an actual droid factory makes me think more of AotC than TCW). The chopper in that set looks pretty rough. -

Well that didn't happen but it wouldn't really have made much difference I guess. Though now we the next new Zelda game announced since the Official Lego and Zelda collaboration was made public. I wonder if we'll get anything from Echoes of Wisdom. Another version of Zelda would be good and seeing how she is the protagonist it seems likely if they do make a anything for this game. A more 'classic' looking princess Zelda would Pair well with the Ocarina of Time Link. -

I don't need to imagine it, I was one of those kids! I was 11 when ninjago came out and I'm still buying it 13 years later -

I have to hope that unlike the anniversary figs that some of these have a change to reappear. tRoS has been the only bit of Disney STAR WARS on screen content I've actively disliked but I'd still live to have a Sith Rey. Perhaps the characters like her and White Vader that aren't new for rebuild the galaxy have a chance to reappear in a magazine or something. Also anyone else mistake Dev for Kylo for a second? -

There's a Nintendo Direct tomorrow, I wouldn't be too surprised if they show off the Lego Zelda set there, though because it's already been revealed anyway it'll be kinda pointless to use here but I thought I'd still point out the possibility. -

I think I'd have preferred a Chopper in scale with the Malak R2 ( or an Accolyte set....) but this still sounds like a fun idea. Young Leia won't really be much a pull though but it's nice that she supposedly comes with Lola. Though on the topic of our fig of the year (Young Leia) whilst she is a less interesting and easier to make your own purist version of fig than Nein Numb in some ways she's still a better fig choice for that anniversary figures just because ( as I know had been said) he could really be put in almost any RotJ rebellion set. And unlike Kenobi ( Rip Fortress Inquisitorius £160 playset that's based on Fallen order, Tales of the... And Kenobi) we are very much likely to keep getting RotJ sets. And a continued release of RotJ sets makes me think that Nien was sorta inevitable anyway, I mean it's nice that he's finally gonna exist but I feel like they didn't need to use a special anniversary minifigures slot to make that happen. I mean if we believe our current rumours then he comes in a set based on the movie he's from, not much of a special anniversary figure at all!! It would have been much more interesting for TLG to choose a character from something they'd overwise never touch, like say a book character ( Marchion Ro, Talon Karde, Mara Jade, Ransolom Casterfo, Prince Xizor, Loden Greatstorm and Rokur Gepta come to mind), Comic Character ( say example Doctor Aphra, Sskeer, Jaxxon, Darth Talon, Renn, or Qword) or someone from the 2003 clone wars ( Kuruk, Durge, Tattooed Anakin or armoured Obi-wan), really I go on all day but I won't. "You probably didn't recognize me because of the red arm" TBH your old picture made more sense with the username and consistency can be nice so I think your old pic was better but my opinion on it doesn't matter if you prefer your current one, I wouldn't have said anything had you not asked. -
That's an interesting question, also very difficult for me. I think I'll say some kind of alien like a Raxacoricofallapatorian or Zygon, though actually my number one pick would be a timelord of the Prydonian chapter with all the regalia and the collar and everything. Since this a DC thread I'll repeat this question but with a DC Context: If you could choose one character to put in a DC Comics CMF who'd you choose?
-
Thanks, I get what you mean about the picture choice for the contest, I was umming and ahhing as which one to pick but it can't be changed now anyway .

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

TLG themselves don't tend to count things like Astromechs or B1s as minifigs. "and comes complete with an exclusive TIE Pilot minifigure and Mouse Droid figure, currently limited to this set" Here in the official description of the UCS Tie interceptor they explicitly call out the tie pilot as a minifigure but just call the mouse droid a figure. "To create an eye-catching display, this collectible toy building set also features an R2-D2 LEGO droid figure, a special LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure of Darth Malak with a lightsaber and display stand, plus an R2-D2 information plaque." Or here in the buildable artoo set description they call artoo a droid figure but Darth Malak gets to be called a minifigure. "4 LEGO® Star Wars™ minifigures and 5 LEGO figures for action play – A Clone Shock Trooper, 3 Clone Troopers, 3 Super Battle Droids and 2 Battle Droids with assorted accessories" Here we have a excerpt from recent double battle pack set, again explicitly pointing out that that B1s and B2s aren't considered minifigs. "5 LEGO® Star Wars™ characters – Rey and Finn LEGO minifigures, each with holiday sweater decoration and a lightsaber, a Chewbacca LEGO minifigure, a BB-8 LEGO droid figure and a Porg LEGO figure" Here is another star wars example. I think they don't the meaning of minifigure watered down, though they do sometimes slip up, like calling the Gollum in Barad-Dûr a minifigure when really he's more similar to a B1 but you get the point. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Agent Kallus replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Greek or even World mythology would both be pretty epic. We seem to usually know the next CMF by the time the current ones releases, if I remember correctly. So hopefully we'll know more by the time we have official HD pics of the D&D series (which might just well become my favourite series when it releases, I'm very excited for it) -

Had a peek at the back page whilst in Tesco today and yeah next issue is 501st specialist ( in the UK at least). -
I think they mean a serious take on the character ( so not Brave and the bold or TLBM ( though to me TLBM is the best batman movie) or Adam West) but I can still think of a few ( non Matches Malone) examples, such as 'the drifter' in The Batman or perhaps we could even call Bruce Wayne a Batman in disguise??????????

Actually it was Max Bautde that said it was jedi bob and (Clone, Astromech / Mon Calamari) I'd guess he means either or? But maybe it's more than 2 figs. Max Bautde has a decent track record but a few recent errors have to be taken into account ( the star destroyer/death star debacle for one) It was said that Mandr was likely just clickbaiting, I don't think we have a 'true believer' here -

I've been seeing that one in the shops for a while, I though it was before the 501st specialist which I've not seen in the wild at all. Though this could just be case of different orders for different countries. But I'm pretty sure Vader is next. -

I get your point... But to continue I could say that the smaller façade is because they hadn't set the price bracket they were aiming for yet? Hence the pricing survey... -

I saw it for decent price at Smyths theatre other day, but I've got the earlier one so I thought I'd give it a miss. At very least wait and see if the X-Mansion makes it redundant fig-wise ( and it could potentially have a mini X-jet too).
