Glad to see you keeping going with this Funny that you post the Grodd wave the same day my copy of 'Gorrilla Grodd goes bananas arrives' from eBay ( It is incomplete missing the bat mech but I was aware of that and it's not the most interesting mech bats has gotten nor the reason I was after the set.) Are the rouges allied with our heroes against the Gorillas? I apologise for the below comment in advance but why is Nightwing (Dick) in the set with Harambe? Surely Dick should be out for Harambe? You truly are the king of 'Aged like milk' comments . Skeleton crew, helmets sets now this! ( At very least it sounds a better wave than I was expecting) please say that we never get an MBS Jedi temple. I kinda agree about the mechs ( not mechs in general just this line) but I Do have 2 ( BP and Logan) but I intend to get this super-mech. And I can think of reasons why Superman would want some help to fight Lex. He's the guy with a weakness so famous that the name of his big weakness has now become a synonym for the word weakness. ( So this forum I guess?) Exactly! That's what I'm saying! No they don't. How many times must we say it? Besides this is 3 sets and just January! Not the whole year! We didn't get any January sets last year or the year before that! Sped4ce Speeeddddforrrrrrceeeeee Spdfrc I missed out on the 202one Tumbler so I don't mind another so soon. Batman +2 could work for a bane tumbler too ( Batman + Babe and Catwoman) or even another BB tumbler ( Batman + Ra's and Scarecrow) Possible? Yes, Likely? No.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd put it at 50%. But they probably didn't want to put another minifig system scale set in the wave, they wanted more ✨Collectors✨ sets. Ironic considering all* of us collect the system sets. *well nearly all of us I imagine. -

Yeah it's highly likely but they can be quite random. -
I think a 4+ set with either Robin or Supes is a good shout but I don't think the buildable logo will a January set. One was rumoured for Star Wars and it's not in it's January set list. Also they could potentially be part of another theme like how we had DC Brick Sketches and Brickheadz but both of those exist in their themes not the superheroes theme. Yeah that's about the number of regular retail sets we received for the whole of last year. So if we're getting all that in January that's a good sign. Probably too early for any Superman Legacy sets which I'd guess would be late spring/early summer. 🎵An unknown force, but where's the source that has us in its sway? Who is doing this to us? And on this, we must concur; They're dastardly, despicable, disturbingly inexplicable... And imminently kickable! That dirty, rotten rat is... The Music Meister! 🎶 So I'm imagining something a bit like TLBM's Baturion minifig ( who despite the name gives me more Greek vibes than roman( other than the accessories), I mean he's closer to the Spartan CMF than the Roman Soilder one.) which sounds pretty amazing. The Classical period is one of the historical eras I find most interesting.

LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to THELEGOBATMAN's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
But for a tall and narrow module you could do say, a set that is mostly Borg tower but in a 'Ninjago City' compatible style. It could even be design to work as a standalone with the 32 stud side facing forward and as city section with the 16 stud side facing forward. It would have no bad angles. -

It seems unlikely now, but I'd say it's still possible. After all TLG can be very hard to predict. 2003 clone wars set in 2015 Kotor character in 2024, EU storm trooper variant in 2019. I'd personally say Bad Batch has a lower chance of sets than the Accolyte but a higher chance than Andor. ( I'd personally like sets for all 3). -
I've never been one for keeping up to date with new comic releases and all that but apparently DC has introduced: I don't know what to think of that? Sorrow is more often a motivator to inaction not action. Whilst I said I could see them waiting I did also say I hope (and TBH expect) them to strike while the iron is hot, as you say. 3 sets is about what I expect, it's what Man of steel and The Batman got after all, thought I wouldn't be surprised with any of the numbers lower than 3. (0,1 or 2 obviously not negative numbers) Good, Anakin good.

21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Agent Kallus replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah what I've found with the scannable series is that the most popular ones are hard to find at first (unless you get to a box early) but on about 3 weeks or so they're no-longer as hard to find. And I'd be happy to grab a lot of the D&D boxes blind as I like them all a lot, and all would be good to have multiples of. I have gotten into D&D over the past 6 years. But even if I hadn't the series would still be right up my alley with it being medieval high fantasy with a diverse selection of species ( i.e beyond Humans, or beyond just Humans Elves and Dwarves) though TBH a just humans or just Humans Elves and Dwarves series would still have tickled my fancy just not as much. Ranked in order of least to most massable 12 - The Lady of Pain 11 - Szass Tam 10 - Tasha 9 - Strahd 8 - the Tiefling Sorcerer 7 - Aarakocra Ranger 6 - Githyanki Warlock 5 - Half elf bard 4 - Halfling Druid 3 - Dwarf Barbarian 2 - Mind flayer 1 - Dragonborn Paladin ( I might go back and edit this post to elaborate on my reasoning) Also I wonder if like the set that the alternative gender options will be a while second head rather than just a double sided one. This would be good.- 686 replies

Key chain minifigs are built totally differently from regular figs( or they were) the torso has no neck pin and instead a hole and the neck pin is actually part of the hips. This is to help keep the keychain together. ( I know this because the my 2014 batgirl minifig is actually a keychain I did surgery on. )

Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh yeah I agree, I just think they should make him. -
A somewhat pessimistic prediction ( but still more optimistic than some). I think we can rule out a reused superman because he is probably out of print ( then again they could replicate the existing design but that would be lame, I guess I could see that happening for a juniors set). I could see TLG waiting till the dust has settled to start properly covering Gunn's DCU but I'd hope they'd just be ready from the word go. Yeah, I would. The pilot being batman focused is closest to what we get usually so I'm interested to see what direction you'll take the seasons focused on other heros in.

Yeah those hazard stripes at the top the dome are very D- squad. A shame I'd have preferred R2-KT but I understand that there might have been some rights issues or something. Maybe they didn't want to be seen as profiting on a creation made for charity ( though have part of the sets profits passed on to charity would have been a nice gesture) -

A funny twist of fate really, we all thought the boxes were going make finding figures impossible but it turns out they actually made everything better. Though I'll hardly need it for the D&D series as there isn't a single figure in it that I wouldn't be happy with multiples of!!- 686 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Iirc it's gonna be a November set, so the earliest I could imagine any official hints or reveals would be October ( or the month before if I've misremembered which month it's due to release). Unofficial information is less predictable. -

TLG could always make a Ross head and then reuse it for their next TFA Han. Or I suppose they could reuse the head he has in the UCS Falcon for the Ross from this movie. -
Sounds good! Exactly the vague sorta thing I was thinking of. I said it in all seriousness as if TLG and DC were able to collaborate on something like this I think it could very well save Lego DC, Movies be damned. And of course the sets would still have a lot of appeal to DC fans regardless of if they watch the show... On the topic of sets, yes I would be interested to hear you ideas there. Synder enters the speed force - we see the DCEU crash as a drab monotone flaming wreck. He exits the Slo-mo force - Synder: Wanna see me do it again? Honestly if think the best plan B is the Gun-verse fails ( which I don't think it will) is for them to pivot into a saga of animated theatrical releases. Like the DCAMU but aimed more at general audiences and little more light hearted. There are far worse things to be than silly... But yes I think the film will have a more comedic tone than say BvS. But it won't be an out comedy and will take itself more seriously than something like Scooby Doo: Monsters unleashed or GotG 1. I think we need something that takes itself seriously but doesn't see being fun and entertaining as a foreign concept like BvS did. I expressed this sentiment in the Star Wars thread but personally I think the idea of the brick built company logos is their lamest most creatively bankrupt idea yet that will result in some of the most boring products TLG has ever produced.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
April's not for a while so I guess this logo thing is serious? And it's not even in universe logos like the empire, the Nihil, the CIS, the Ascendency, the jedi or anything? Well some people thought Andor was boring ( it was good imo, a slightly slow start but from the prison onwards it was incredible, biggest flaws were the relative lack of aliens and using the ISB but without any agents in Agent Kallus style gear but Book of Boba is overhated and the Accolyte is too.), but this this is boring. I sorta get how people might like a SW logo alongside Thier collection to label it in a fun way but that's got to be a small niché. I can not of very many set ideas that would be less interesting than this. That's pretty good in my eyes, and we've had quite a few figures in a box ow now which is good, they feel like a better value for money than the mini-builds. Which are often kinda lame, though there have been some stand ours such as the mini AT-TE I used to think that Germany was just a little ahead of the UK, in terms of what comes with the magazine ( though I remember buying the magazine when I was in Germany and it was an issue I never saw in the UK presumably because it was on sale in the UK whilst I was away from the UK in mainland Europe). Now though it starting to feel pretty random which order they come out in different countries, because you guys had the imperial shuttle before the 501st sniper whereas we had them the other way around and now I find out Spain is different too, I really just thought it was one order with my country just getting it's issues slightly later. I did say earlier that it's good that Sabine will out alongside the Peridea set that she compliments well. But who knows anymore? She's got to be soon right? Maybe she'll come to UK at a different month to Germany as we're definitely out of sync ( but despite that I think we're still getting the small things just in a different order for whatever reason). Honestly one of least useful trooper types in recent years imo but he's still possiblity, though if he's coming I hope it's sooner rather than later. I'm hoping that we might at somepoint get: Dark Rey, Marrok ( I do have one but his parts could be useful outside of a SW context), Celebration Luke ( his torso would be great for Cal as it's one I used a lot in survivor), 187th clone ( though I've sorta given up hope for that now, it's a bit too late but you never know they might gave excess stock), White Vader ( feels unlikely but then again so did cloud city Luke or Ninjago's Miss Demeanour), the Night Trooper, Any impetus officer ( preferably lower ranked to be more miserable). I'd also like to see Cal, Young Leia and Nein but I feel like the Anniversary figures are probably off limits for the magazine. -
A shame they locked the flash minifig from the hit DC's Flash 2 Playstation game in a GWP. I wouldn't have minded getting multiples to recreate the flash league scene, where Flash, Kid Flash, Impulse, Trajectory, XS, Jesse Quick, Johnny Quick ( no relation) , Eobard, Jay Garrick and the surprise cameo of quicksilver all dressed as the flash to confuse the Turtle ( no relation to Lego turtle, at least afaik) Cheeky of them to hide their DC sets in marvel boxes but a nice surprise for anyone who thought they were gonna get the umpteenth iron man suit and captain patriotism instead getting Steel and captain Boomerang. These were all octember releases which might be the cause of confusion? (all( It does seem like by and large TLG have given up on generic comic based sets. We do get odd Spider-Man ones but even those lessen in number. It's a shame, because rather than directly based on an particular version or anything those were TLG's Lego interpretations of the subject matters, which game the theme a feeling and a freedom a bit similar to an in-house action theme. I think maybe a way to sort of go back to this would be to Ninjago-ify Lego DC, give it it's own Lego DC cartoon show that uses specific Lego designs made strictly for it, with wide ranging inspirations. Give it themed seasons and a competent editing team that collaborates with set design team much like Ninjago, have minifigs introduced based on comic designs. Have a central team of characters ( I'm thinking a mix of the Bat-Fam and the teen titans would be the best shot) as the leads but with other leaguers in recurring roles ( similar to ninjas Skylor, Pixal, Dareth and elemental masters type side characters) have villains that recur but aren't always there, have villains that will join with the heroes in times of true crisis, have the sets based on the show. )seriousness)

Adventure is an interesting word, “Don’t adventures ever have an end? I suppose not. Someone else always has to carry on the story.” “Sorry! I don’t want any adventures, thank you. Not Today. Good morning! But please come to tea – any time you like! Why not tomorrow? Good bye!” “We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner! I can’t think what anybody sees in them.” “This is a bitter adventure, if it must end so; and not a mountain of gold can amend it. Yet I am glad that I have shared in your perils – that has been more than any Baggins deserves.” 'This is a story of how a Baggins had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected.' “I’m going on an adventure!” Adventure is a word that makes me think of Baggins. Team Bag end? -

I have the old airport battle set and yeah I don't really care about the new one, if they spiced it up with DC characters based on the hit show 'Young Justice' then that'd be another story. In fact what if rather than an airport battle it was a martian bioship? Now that would something! But keeping things *Ahem* marvelous, since this set is bound to include a big ant-man, I'd like a set with a big Sentinel. X-Men sets should hopefully exist beyond just the overpriced jet and the mansion. -

Equestrian? Like a (Venom) Horse? A Venomised (Venom) Horse, Venom Horse? No that's absurd . Ah who am I kidding, I love absurd . But if Venom 3 isn't gonna be him fighting and then joining forces with Spider-Man ( Preferably Garfield as that would've made the most sense) then I suppose Venom Horse is the only way to go. The ONLY way!! But the Morbster was included in a set post Morbing so it's possible we'll get some more symbiotes post Venom 3. Of course a Lego Venom horse would make my month ( my year should hopefully be made in celebration Japan) but TLG are probably too cowardly to embrace our new god (Venom Horse).
