  1. Is is not just a shortening that has been blown wildly out of proportion? That's what I'm hearing. Actually now that I've watched (90% of) capes crusader I'd liked to see the Harley from that. Give us a Batmobile with her, Batman and Alfred for £25 and the Cat mobile with Catwoman, Oswalda and Barbie for £25.
  2. It's the rubber head Yoda. And the rubbery parts like that are notorious for paint flaking off. I imagine he might've been printed at one point? Or maybe the paint was never applied, this version of Yoda also has painted hair at the back, is that print also missing?
  3. Gimli Voice: You have my axe. ..... In actual Lego DC news looks like the rubber cape batman will come in magazine, unfortunately using the 2012 black suit. But with the rubber cape and newer cowl. Also the Brickheadz is now a VIP reward. And the 1992 gargoyle polybag is a GWP ( but I got that fig when it was with a magazine so ). Looks like there's also some VIP point multiplers on certain sets?
  4. Cupid they could go a few different ways with. A bow this a heart arrowhead is probably guaranteed either way. But I wonder if he'll be an adult or a kid as depictions vary. I'd rather the more classical Grecian Eros look than the Cherub look. I imagine he'll wear white but if he's more valentine's card based he might be in pink.
  5. I hope series 28 has another Greco-Roman figure. I missed out on quite a few of the earlier ones. So far for Greco-Roman Roman CMFs we have: Series 2's Spartan (I had hoped a similar figure in blue and silver might be made as an Athenian hoplite) Series 5's Gladiator Series 5's Cleopatra ( I wasn't sure whether to include her because, or ignore her or include all the Egyptian ones but she's more connected to the Greco-Roman world than the other Egyptian figs, I would also like more Egyptian figs but not as much as Greco-Roman ones) Series 6's Roman Soilder Series 6's Minotaur ( arguments could also be made for the Lady Liberty from this series) Series 7's Ocean King (Triton son of Poseidon) Series 9's Cyclops Series 9's Roman Emperor Series 9's Mermaid (Arguably more of generic fig but works perfectly in this context) Series 10's Medusa Series 10's Roman Commander Series 10's Warrior Woman ( again arguable but I saw her as an Amazon) Series 11's barbarian (also arguable) Series 12's Battle Goddess (Athena/Athene/Minerva) Series 13's female Cyclops ( wish she wasn't plastered in makeup) Series 15's Winged warrior ( looks like he's meant to represent a specific mythic figure but I'm not sure who, either way the parts work great for Greco-Roman stuff) Series 15's Faun/Saytr Series 17's Gladiator (Honourable mentions for Disney Series 2's Hercules and Hades, and an mention for the DC Series's Jay Garrick Flash just for the hat.) Series 21's Centuar Series 25's Harpy Series 26's Orion A full greek myth or Roman history series would be epic.
  6. A Gnolls would be cool too. The idea with the Drider and Lolth is that they could share a new Spider-Centaur part that the legs attach to. I mean they could work well brick built in a playset but TLG seems to be shying away from playsets for these sorts of themes as we can see from us having a D2C and CMF and nothing inbetween. If they did do playsets I'd like a Goblin BP and a Kobold camp ( or vice versa). Kobolds are now the only creatures to show up on the big sets's instructions that haven't been made in either that set or the CMF. Some underdark scenery would be good as well and could be a place to put your Drider with the brick built lower half. Tiamut would also be a could set. Her in the CMF with 5 different Dragonborn heads was probably the most outlandish one in the list but it could look really cool if done well.
  7. Official pictures out now. ( On a Wednesday no less) I must say they've made some odd choices here. The gate included in the buildable doll set for example, I thought it was a separate set when less clear pictures leaked. I might have bought the buildable nevermore wednesday for £10-£15 but I won't buy 2 outfits and a gate for £50 ( vague guess as UK prices aren't confirmed). Also having the 4 figures in the form set be 2 Wednesdays and 2 Enids is bizarre. Either 4 different characters, or 3 with an extra Wednesday, or if they must do 2 Enids and Wednesdays then have 1 minidoll and 1 minifig of each. I still think this could be a precursor to an Addams Family home D2C for next Halloween.
  8. Lets go further with this, say he possesses a Green lantern ring, but doesn't use it because he doesn't believe it'll work. Also bulkier armour hmm like actual clone commando armour.
  9. I wonder if it could be a 2 in one.
  10. I am glad you have accepted my offering and glad to accept yours in return (and any nightmares it brings). Honouring Aardman is good also. Far be it for me to spark conflict so soon after a resolution but I am not sure LegoTurtle (the martyr) deserves a place among the pantheon. He earned his banishment, perhaps we could honour the turtle he could have been rather than the turtle he was.
  11. This just makes me imagine her with Zahn's face (But despite my enjoyment of your blasphemy, for legal reasons I am required to yet again say) Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! @Renny The Spaceman you seem to have a proclivity for saying you will not state something only to do so in other words. However despite your blasphemy I crave not war. So please accept this humble peace offering Here is your Holy Idol as a a technic figure ( the superior bigfig) as created digitally by Flickr user Omar R Ovalle. And for one more time I must state: Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme!
  12. To misquote the Joe Ker: "You go on about Demolition dummy (a non DC character) and no one bats an eye, I go on about Mara Jade (a non DC character) and whole world loses it mind" You say this but then proceed to do exactly that?! But to pretend to give a measured response to your intense and needless attack on the most holy church of Mara Jade. I will say that the bit originated in the SW thread (obviously) when some of the more lackluster anniversary figs were revealed or leaked and it was stated that we should've had Mara Jade instead ( my first choice of replacement anniversary figures might actually have been Talzin, or a high republic character) . I mean if I were to have Dummy like devotion to an individual star wars character it would be Agent Kallus. Hence the name and profile picture. But Mara Jade herself is not the bit but the church we have built around her so I will say for the third time in recent days : Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Pretty please Do not Blaspheme! Pretty pretty please with cherries on top do not Blaspheme! If you wish me to condemn your blasphemy no more then the the simple solution is to Not Blaspheme against the most holy church of Mara Jade. I need only bring her church up when there is heresy and blasphemy raised against it! ( But you can pry my Venom horse from my cold dead hands) As for why a star wars joke here, one thing a relish about the freedom of this thread is the lack of superimposed borders that makes comparison between themes easier. In all Why so Serious -ness, I think a fair critieria would involve actually being active on this thread specifically and Eurobricks in general. Which Swordy hasn't been of late .
  13. Next magazine is Ghost Spider with a little robot spider build.
  14. I hope so too, since you asked here's a wish list for the next 2 potential series ( spoilered just save space)
  15. Oh my Poseidon! What the Hekatonkheire are you saying ? This borders on Blasphemous. A streaming show wouldn't ruin Mara Jade forever ( to even suggest the possibility of ruining her is near heresy!). Ok there is a small chance it could ruin perception of her, but not her herself. After all Legends and Canon are separate continuities and what happens in one will not effect the other. Anyway I don't think they've put out a bad SW streaming show, some had a few mediocre episodes but I've enjoyed all of them ( movies is another matter). Generally Star wars fans use the term for a character who has a name and a face but is otherwise very unimportant. Where Mara is a main character in many books, 3 of which I've read. The thing we have fear from SW on D+ is them miscasting Kallus. (Vern was deffo miscast in The Accolyte but I still enjoyed the show, it was very nice to leave the RotS-TFA timeframe.) But it not making sense makes sense for this forum. A batman thing being the parameter would show logical consistency and dare I say sanity. That isn't what we do here. But if there is some other measure let it be in and of itself inconsistent for that would be consistent for this thread, No? Anyway on the topic of Mara Jade a quick reminder for everyone, since apparently the Sponge is not the only heretic here. Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Pretty pretty please don't Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! You can Blaspheme if you must but I'll cringe when you do! Do not Blaspheme! Don't Blaspheme! Blasphemy against Mara Jade is a big no-no here! Do not Blaspheme! Do not Blaspheme! I shall build our church of Mara Jade! And it shall be our sanctuary! The force will be free! And we shall be it's foundation! The citadel of Mara must prosper! (Though I've only actually read 3 of the books she's in... Whoops, I will read more someday) Talking about books I forgot to put the hand of Thrawn Duology in my reading list in the SW thread... Whoops. It's there.
  16. I got mine from Smyths as well iirc it was discounted to £40 at the time. The minifig selection is a bit weak ( only 3 minifigs in a £60 set, and no whilst cool the Gonk is just regular bricks, The Vader is a good looking fig but one I already had several of so really it felt like 2 useful figs, that being Sloane and the tie pilot for the ship) though them including a book character at random in a imperial set gave me slight hope they might do it again (Eli Vanto maybe? Or Pealleon or Moff Ghadi). I've not read the aftermath trilogy, are they any good? My current SW reading is deep into the High Republic. But once I've finished that ( and the books have finished coming out) the next 3 books on my list are Plagueis, Tarkin and A New Dawn. Is aftermath worth adding to the list? But back to the Tie bomber, I have seen it sealed for as low as £35. But I'd say it's a good set just not one worth it's full recommended retail price. I was hoping the imperial death star player would work as a generic imp based if one took away the super laser... But it's was a star destroyer all along!
  17. @TheBlasphemousSponge might be out resident sith lord but I'll be the one to say 'Dew it'
  18. 🎶I see a song of brick romance I see the sacrifice of legoman I see portrayals of betrayal And a Afol's final stand I see you on the brink of death I see you draw your final breath I see a man who gets to make it home alive But it's no longer you I see Instagram covered in that head Faces of men who had been portrayed by Jack replicated with that head I see captain Bombardier with a wife who daunting A wife without a good face to accurately capture her I see a song of past romance I see the sacrifice of legoman I see portrayals of betrayal And a Afol's final stand I see you on the brink of death I see you draw your final breath I see a man who gets to make it home alive But it's no longer you🎶 It might seem like a cop out but I'd rather they just reuse the existing Mob minifigs where possible. Otherwise the result might be as cursed as the incomplete eye Jabba we were discussing on the SW thread. However whatever they do I'm sure it'll be funny, either in a good way or an absurd way.
  19. I wonder if there'll be any sets made specifically for the movie? Not sure it's going to be good though but
  20. It should be alliterative... such as Syndicate Sunday, Jabba Jeudi, Hutt Hayne, Tattooine Tetárti, Sail barge Sobota, Sarlacc Salaasa, Desilijic Dienstag, gangster Getsuyōbi, Tiure (Aso) To'ona'i... I could go on. A Jabba's thugs BP would be great, especially with a variety of alien species, and could be a nice pseudo-tie in to Outlaws as well.
  21. Hard agree! It's worked great for me! Oh gods I'd not even thought about that. They better not mess up Jabba's eyes.
  22. Well Lego and Marvel have been partners for 12 years in a row now but the Deku tree is their only collaboration with Zelda so far. So I think another Avengers tower will come eventually but another Deku tree is less likely. The AT is a great set though.
  23. I'm also using brick search and it's doing a good job.
  24. Shame it turned out to be two different Wednesdays rather than Wednesday and Enid for the buildable figures. Looks like more sets than expected, with the gate, the dorm, the Brickheadz and the Brickheadz.
