  1. I feel like evil Thanatos didn't even know Peter had a bug theme, he just called him and insect because he thought he was an annoying creature that he could squash him easily. Talking about how long we've been on the forum I was looking at the old thread @RedHoodPug posted, I do show up eventually talking about M&Ms ( of course ) and it got me thinking, I joined in 2016 so I've been a member of these forums for a third of my life! It'll be half when I'm 32. He put fear gas in his pizza.... Also I've just had an epiphany! Those fools in the marvel thread (us) have been discussing the next superhero modular. People have been arguing between the daily planet and the Baxter building (Lex Corp might be a better superman choice though for less overlap with the bulgy Bugle) but of course we know what's coming don't we. It's been obvious,it's here this whole time! It's gonna be Luigi's pizzeria. Now that I see the truth I can't understand how any other option seemed possible, this is the only end!!! Praise Darkseid!
  2. Yeah I always find the problem with Guinness world records is that they're really just the highest recorded, I'm sure at least half of them haven't been bested by unaware parties. That said, there should be a way to get some of these numbers for at least a substantial slice of Afols. Most of the more online Afols log thier collections online on Brickset. Personally my Brickset collection probably is massively unreported as I do forget sometimes and I only log while sets not the loose bricks and figures that quite possibly outnumber the sets I own. But @Huw Millington and the team at Brickset probably have some interesting statistics on there. Brickset user with the most minifigs, most popular set of each year, collectable Minifigure owned by the least members, biggest collections by theme and so on.
  3. Is there a possibility that that is what I thought you meant?... Yes Is it more than a possiblity and in truth simply what I thought you meant?... Yes Do I love Pringles?... Yes Is that John Stewart Book set more of proper jet than a mircofighter anyway?... Yes Am I glad the Turtle impressions ( which had variable accuracy) seem to be over?... Yes Are people going on about how a Daily Planet set won't happen in, in the Marvel thread of all places?... Yes, and they should learn that TLG is consistent unpredictable.
  4. Okay, that was good, I'll admit it .
  5. Most of the time right? Just not like in bed or the shower?... Anyway Pringles poll time. I'm gonna have to agree, Original is the original and the best. Sour cream and onion is second. Honourable mention to the limited edition pigs in blankets ones. I'll look up sales numbers ... Apparently Original and/or Sour Cream & Onion are on top across the world. I swear I didn't plan that, I guess I'm just a basic bitch. That's was more of mircofighter than a mighty mircos though. Wasn't a car, didn't have wheel, less wacky and an ordinary fig rather than the MM style.
  6. Since they're probably gonna ignore Andor S2 thry could at least do a couple of Rouge One sets as loose tie-ins. I never got the original U-wing and how many X-wings have we seen since? Come on TLG give the U-Wing some love.
  7. Picked up my Sabine mag today. Next one is clone shiny. Not a tie pilot like Germany has? Will they ever sync back up? Literally just got mine, I'm typing this on the bus stop. I didn't realise it was double one till you'd said, they'd hidden the clone behind Sabine. But an Extra 212th for 2 quid is worth it to me.
  8. What if I told you I was every single Eurobricks user other than yourself?
  9. New levels of insanity have been breached this day. It is not a happy day. Superman is very relatable because I too have my very own kryptonite. The weakness that is inherent to my very soul and flesh, my sereve lust for pringles.
  10. But Satyrs don't have backwards knees, they have goat legs. And goats are unguligrades so what you are thinking of as a backwards knees is an ankle and the knee is higher up. Zeb is a digitigrade not a plantigrade ( unlike most SW aliens who are typically plantigrades because they just have human legs) and the saytr/faun legs are used pretty well for both digitigrades and unguligrades, where as plantigrades use regular minifig legs of varying height. The heels off the ground is true for most earth digitigrades ( and as plantigrades humans are outnumbered among mammals). If you have a cat or a dog take a close look at it's legs, (fore legs especially will be similar to Zeb's legs) Zeb walks on his toes which is what those legs were designed to represent I think they'd be perfect for him ( dual moulded ones would be even better).
  11. I wonder if these movies ( The Mandalorian and Grogu, Heir the Empire remix, Dawn of the Jedi remix, New Jedi order Remix and so on) will get full tie in waves, the star wars theme has changed a lot since 2019. Full Minifig scale waves for new content would be very nice to see.
  12. Rey: I didn't know there was so much grey in the whole galaxy.
  13. Oh I get it, this isn't really the Lego Star wars set discussion thread, it's the 'Star wars Yuck peoples yum thread' and I'm tired of it. I mention that the Accolyte was popular ( it was, fan reception =/= general public viewing figures) and get flooded with Nuh-uh or people start hating on Mando ( harder to find data on whether something is overrated as that's an opinion, but needless to say I enjoyed it and it's got the highest rotten tomatoes score for a reason) I've seen bitching about Andor too, and I'll admit im probably guilty about it when ut comes to episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker. Not liking something is fine and makes sense, no-one likes everything but the topic is getting constantly derailed by bitching about these shows and movies.
  14. Smallest or not it was still a solo Superhero D2C (yes it included other revelent heroes but it is a Doc Strange set). Asgard would have Hulk and Loki abd they're big names, captain America would make sense too.
  15. Thor is enough. Also did you forget about the Doctor Strange D2C ( or the black panther one... But yeah that didn't sell and was a minifig set.)
  16. Yeah I flicked to the back of the Vader issue in Sainsbury's (didn't buy one though because whilst Vader makes sense for sa celebration he's kinda boring, I have multiples already) and Sabine is in the next time in the UK (so I presume after that it'll be tie pilot here and Sabine in Germany? But honestly who knows)
  17. Looking great so far, excited to see the finished project. I do think this thread deserves more attention.
  18. I once thought that too, but it turns out it's never that simple. For example we had the 501st sniper and imperial shuttle order inverted compared to the magazines available on continental Europe and even they aren't consistent with each other either.
  19. It looks Great
  20. I mean to be fair quite a few of the 'Comic' based marvel sets were actual based more on things like the Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-man and Agents of Smash animated shows as well as the more recent wave with the square Enix Avengers minifigs. Also for our next superhero mansion after Xavier's I think Wayne Manor is more likely to show up ( technically it already has thrice but I mean properly) first before the Avengers Mansion. The MCU didn't use the mansion at all, and it's where alot of the recent Avengers hype has come from. It could still get made eventually but I'd bet on Wayne Manor first, and even though it's a very different modern mansion I'd bet on Tony's Malibu mansion first too.
  21. The thing is the current general ETA 2 build is based around that massive cockpit part, really a new more accurate design would be smaller, so why do pricey? I guess it could have another side build, like a small vulture droid, the other Ahsoka Starfighter did anyway. Also Anakin isn't a very exciting extra figure. There are a hundred and one sets he could come in, he's one of the leads of three movies and multiple shows. Someone more unique like Taun Wae was for Obi's Starfighter would be nicer. Of course this isn't confirmed anyway maybe it'll come with a jedi temple guard or something really cooll (Especially as a guard could be reused in a MBS Jedi temple or made massable with a magazine or something).
  22. Well D2C is direct to consumer but I just tend to think of them as a huge sets. A lot of them don't stay exclusive and sold at Smyths and the like. But technically Both Marvel and DC have been getting D2Cs for the last few years, it's just that a lot of them haven't been minfig compatible. Recent Super Hero D2Cs include: The Shadow Box Batcave, the Black Panther Bust, the Sanctum Sanatorium, the Avengers Towers, the Gotham Skyline, the Large 89 Batmobile, the huge hulkbuster, the large 89 batwing and so on. Technically as well as the X-Mansion we do have another Superheroes D2C rumoured, it being a Large Scale Adam West 66 Batmobile.
  23. The marvel logo set is rumoured to come with a new Captain America variant, and the others might also be new variants. Which got me wondering if the SW logo would also come with new figures. On the one hand new figures would be nice to get, on the other I am not going to get this set. But Ideal scenario would be for some interesting deep cuts ( Mara Jade, Vernestra Rwoh (Young), Prince Xizor, Darth Nihilius, Ransolom Casterfo and Rebel Kallus or Durge, Marchion Ro, Jedi Revan, Yaddle, Concept art Chiss Kallus and Darth Krayt) or Variants ( O3 CW space helmet Sasae Tinn, Maul-dalorian Obi-wan, Original Poster Leia, CW 03 Tattooed Anakin, Naboo Meadow Padmé, Deleted Scene sandstorm googles Luke )but with the figs available elsewhere ( Magazine, another set or pickabrick)
  24. They don't seem to have more lined up. But then again they looked to have finished with helmets and now with have Bo Katan/Jango rumoured. So who knows?
