  1. Wow Thorsten! This is super cool. I can't believe that you made this model in 4 days!! Thank you. When you create the instructions, do you use this model?
  2. Yes, I can't imagine what it would cost if you bought it complete. But I'm sure quite a few people have the Porsche already and have tons of black for this build. It's not like it has rare colours...
  3. Wow, looks amazing! Thank you so much. Yes, black is good for the 11 flex axle. Can you post some different angles of this 3D model as well? It is amazing seeing this creation in LDRAW!!!!
  4. Yes they are. Thanks LmanolBB! We tried to put as much detail into the car just as Ferrari had with the FXX
  5. Looking good! I used 2x white 19 flex axles on the outside, a 16 black flex axle in the middle, and a 19 black flex axle on the inside. 2x 9 long flex axles were used for the door window. 2x 5 long flex axles were used at the bottom of the window frame connected by 1 black connector piece.
  6. Hi Thorsten, that axle is 4 long. This render is looking fantastic! I was wondering if you could change 2 part colors for me. 1. Could you change the 2 red flex axles (That go on the doors) to black? 2. Could you change the 4 red connectors at the back suspension to grey? Hi Brunojj1, yes I can already see how working together with others can help support the community and much better builds. This build would not have been possible without Dugald's fantastic framework, Sariel's Scaling tools, and Thorsten's push to put the build photos online. Just before Dugald and I tore down this car, he helped find weak points in the build and we created a much stronger / robust frame prior to the instructions. Just going through that exercise showed me how I should review my build before posting / creating instructions. I can't even believe what it might take to make detailed instructions... Posted Saturday by Technicfan at 07:19 PM (edited) · Wow, this is an awesome moc, you have done a good job. My favorite Ferrari after the F40. Can't wait for the instructions to make this badboy Edited Saturday at 07:20 PM by technicfan I will be thrilled to see someone else build this car! Glad there is some interest in it.
  7. Hi Thorsten, I have completed the photos and part count for the complete build of this car. I have SO much more respect for Modica, Brunojj1, Sariel and all other builders as there is immense work that is put into the build of Technic instructions. This car has 1880 pieces, 956 pieces in the framework, and 924 pieces in the body work. I am new at instructions, and if something is identical from one side to another, I only showed photos of that side. Also, I have broken down the part count into the frame work and the bodywork if someone chooses to simply build the frame only. I hope that is ok for you Thorsten. Photo instructions: https://goo.gl/photos/yTNQBTbuJEQuso2b7 It took 6 hours to do the photo instruction tear down with help from Dugald, and another 6 hours to sort and categorize all the pieces. A huge shout out to Thorsten who will be going through my photo build and try and create LDD instructions! Below are some photos of the sorting / instructions. 8. I love it! Captures the essence of the original vehicle. Do you have a video?
  9. Welcome to EB and fantastic build! Do the front wheels steer? They look really close to the rims.
  10. Hi Thorsten, I was just about to tear down this car and make a new one! I am honored you offered to make instructions. I have no idea how to make instructions with LDD. I will definitely take photos of the tear down and post them online if you can make instructions. I will take pictures of the complete tear down this coming weekend and send you the link to the photos.
  11. "Volvo Trucks reset its own two year-old record for heavy trucks with shockingly fast speed runs by its latest track-focused creation, the "Iron Knight." This big rig blasted to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds thanks to its unbelievable 2,400 horsepower." iron knight by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Flicker: https://www.flickr.com/gp/139930963@N04/8xb6HX Video: Dugald has created a custom Iron Knight out of Technic Lego to pull my Ferrari FXX. (Unfortunately this MOC did not blast from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds ) IMG_9090 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr This build is massive, 31 stud wide x 72 long x 35 tall. IMG_9127 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The trailer can load and unload the 6 pound Ferrari with a winch and a clever sliding mechanism that slowly lowers the car down. IMG_9096 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The trailer can switch from the winch to the lowering mechanism with a single switch powered by 1 XL motor. IMG_9100 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The side panels flip up to reveal the battery packs. The Inline6 is located just behind the cabin. I've got to say, this truck has curves never seen before in Technic Lego truck. IMG_9092 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr This build took a month to create, some of the more difficult aspects to build was the tilt cabin with the working steering wheel and the 2wd - 4wd switch. 12. Thanks Victor, I took your advice and took some photos with a white back drop and a HD camera. IMG_9134 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr IMG_9223 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr IMG_9225 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr IMG_9172 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr IMG_9182 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
  13. Very cool SUV! Great build and interesting build style
  14. +1 I'm always checking this forum for Supercars.
  15. I like the doors and red brake pads, creative! I feel like the roof has too little going on to show the shape. Good job overall.
  16. I can only imagine how cool your polybag car was. You are too kind sir
  17. Thanks Lipko, means a lot from a fellow supercar builder. I totally agree about the doors... I did get kinda lazy when I found a weird solution so quick, but it worked so I stuck with it. Can't thank my bro enough for the difficult ground work! Looking forwards to your next build Brunjj1... The ratio is 20 tooth to 12 tooth and brand new batteries. It drives SO smooth considering its only 1 stud off the ground... Sinister, yes! Thanks, was stoked to see how well it turned out. It is the proper scale of a V12 in the FXX, so that meant a lot to me to have it functional and cosmetically pleasing. Thanks for the kinds words all! Pushes me to work harder on the next build... Wait till Dugald drops his new build... super original!
  18. This car has been in the works for a month now. A big thanks to Sariel's Lego model scaler for proper proportion and Brunojj1 for pushing me to use scaling. It is truely rewarding building a detailed car. Dugald built the awesome chassis, and I designed and built the rest. This beast has a custom made supercharged V12, working steering wheel, servo for steering and 2x XL motors for drive, torsion bar suspension. Utilizing the large Porsche rims, we had to gear down the servo so it turns proper. The toughest part of this build were the doors & torsion bar suspension. This car has 1880 pieces, 956 pieces in the framework, and 924 pieces in the body work. 19. That is one cool build. It's so small yet it seems perfect scale with tons of character. Nice!!
  20. That's one quick MOC! At first glance I thought the car was much bigger than it really is. Congrats on fitting all the batteries and motors so well in that small frame. Now I want one of those buggy motors....
  21. Now I feel the need to make a small motorized MOC... Very creative and functional!
  22. It looks like the real thing. Cool small scale as well!
  23. Very cool build. The gear box looks really compact.
  24. The front end photo with the hood open is my favorite. Nice contrast with colours
