    The Mystery Mansion from the Knight Time Terror episode is amazing and would make a great build! Hoping to be able to plan it out in LDD and get the pieces to build it! Oh and it's a pretty cool little episode as well!

    Love checking in on this thread! If you ever want to try something from another theme - the Lego Scooby Doo cartoon Knight Time Terror episode has a really cool looking Mystery Mansion that would make a great build!

    I think all the city, creator and modular buildings and houses fit and work well. That's what most of us use to build up our towns. In regards to batteries I have bought some energizer rechargeable ones. The recharger itself came with 4 AA batteries and I bought 3 sets of AAA batteries to start with. This was enough to power my first 2 trains. Since then I buy a packet of AAA ones whenever I see them on sale. This is enough for me and what I do however I believe if you start displaying at Lego shows then the rechargeable Lego packs are a worthy investment as they hold the charge for much longer. Looking forward to more updates to see how it grows!

    SPMD - Southern Pacific Morning Daylight I'm assuming.... And I'm pretty sure in my dream that the shop keeper said it was the patriot scheme... although I was hoping it was the Orange scheme - which could also make sense seeing as there are more orange bricks now since the HE..... Man I just want an annoucement!!!

    HAHA - That's why I thought I should write it down here before anything ( if anything) gets annouced! According to the dream there will be a new conductor minifigure too... random I know but thats what started the conversation with the shop keeper...

    I had a dream last night that the next creator train was based on the SP Daylight and was a restuarant themed train... and you could buy additional coaches for $59.... I had to sign a NDA as well before looking at the pictures because it was a super secret and was going to be announced in a few days... even though I was about to go on Eurobricks and talk all about it! Hahaha crazy dream!

    Love the idea and now understand what you were talking about in my thread - definitely going to consider this if I can get the plates cheap enough here in Australia.

    Yes road plates are being changed for the new road plates when I can fit them into the budget. The Metro Park and Service tower is a big part of my childhood so it will never be sold! If anything I will be removed if my brother wants to claim it back from me!

    I actually hope they do a modular police station because at the moment the only police I have is the Dog Van so my local force don't have a base yet... I have seen a nice custom modular though which I might end up building!

    Thanks Lightningtiger - I already have the PR there on Main Street - the gap between the PR and FB is for the DO - the BB I'm still trying to figure out where to put it!! Yes I will be removing the siding from where the mixer is and also relocating the station - i will raise the outside track down that end and as a part of the mountain there cover the inside track with a tunnel. That could also mean that I raise that entire far side where the farm is to put that at a higher level....

    Thanks Chilis - yes I will be adding some elevated areas now - that way I have more realestate for buildings etc!

    Hmm yes that could work - I didn't want to do too much to the track because I hate how my Maersk wheel slips around the curves. Also means I need to replace the o-rings for traction and get some more train motors which is on the list anyway. Might have to change the siding on the farm side too but that's workable!

    G'day everyone, I started working on my new city layout a couple of days ago so the attached photo's are the WIP so far. I just need a few more straight pieces to finish the sidings and also a quite a few base plates to cover the boards. I also need a name for my city so feel free to drop some suggestions! Looking down to the left side of the town - there is a cargo terminal on the left, fairground in the middle and farming on the right. Behind the fairground will be a mountain region. To the bottom of the photo will be a recycling depot and fueling depot. We then move into Main Stree - there is a space between the PR and the FB for the DO which I'm getting for Christmas.To the right of the station will be a bus terminal. Right hand side of Main Street - bus terminal and general business etc. Right hand side of the layout - Beach and houses to the far left, Emerald Night workshop on the right. Can you spot the Foreman sleeping on the job? She wasn't very helpful! So there you go - lots of base plates required - might throw in a mountain and maybe a tunnel in somewhere so I can build on top - I have the Mine set and Harbour set to build up as well!! Plus I need to find room for a baseball field!! Arhhhh lots to do lots to do!! Thanks for looking and don't forgot your City name suggestions!

    Once again amazing looking display! I always pay close attention to your farm / rural areas as I'm trying to design mine at the moment!

    The new Garbage Truck sounds like to could be a bigger dumpster type - like something to empty to dumpster that comes with the Kwik-i-Mart
