  1. Very nice modification, especially the workshop level.
  2. Quite nice, but there are already enough divers at present. A farmer+animal/vegetable, ice cream vendor or kid+bicycle would be a nicer addition to City.
  3. At 8€ each, it'd better be. I really think that the CMF line is now too expensive already; Playmobil blind bags are half the price though it's more plastic.
  4. So now we know why the prices are higher than expected: there is a knew kind of motorbike - probably push and pull (or something similar). The rear wheel of the bike looks differently/smooth from the front one. Could be quite successful with the kids, but I'll have to wait for better pictures to make a final opinion.
  5. Absolutely stunning!
  6. Very nice. Perhaps I'll change the modular police station into something similar.
  7. Very nice kiosk!
  8. Very cool use of the new pods; congratulations! For those who are interested, the architectural style resembles metabolism: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metabolism_(architecture)
  9. Yeah, I know that dilemma... that's why I usually wait some months before buying an Ideas or Creator Expert set. Please no! No Minidoll elves and gentle dwarfs before a proper sinister Fantasy wave... unless Lego promises to make a huge LOTR comeback! Then I'll accept even a purple dragon.
  10. The official pictures convinced me to buy the Ideas blacksmith first, after all. It's a great Creator set, but at the same price/piece ratio the blacksmith is much better.
  11. Is it true that the castle will be in Germany a Lego exclusive?
  12. Apparently I'm one of the few, who's utterly disappointed with the upcoming Wildlife sets. The elephants look indeed splendid and the lions are ok, but the rest is really lacking. The vehicles are "megablocky", most minifigs look boring and the ranger station is just a shack, nothing more. But worst of all are the colors, they don't match with a Safari theme somehow. If Lego thinks that last years https://brickset.com/sets/60267-1/Safari-Off-Roader was to conventional, so be it, but still the vehicles should be bright and colorful, something that resembles the vibrant atmosphere of Africa and what could inspire kids' imagination. Here I'm doubtful, the Jungle subtheme from 2017 was much, much better. What a shame!
  13. Not sure when the article was actually written, but it could also mean postponed from 1 HY to 2 HY; Lego surely will give us more than 5 City sets until December... I hope!
  14. I guess the figures are pretty final; but I can't quite see what (dark) figure is on the side of the box (above the 3in1 writing). Is it a guard?
  15. Creator castle leak spotted! It's much better and bigger (?) than last years pirate ship, perhaps even on of the best Creator sets in recent years.
  16. Wow, the castle it IS TALL. The two towers are nearly the hight of last years Creator pirate ship judging from the picture and certainly taller than the system castles from ages ago. Too bad there is no back view of the box; I'd like to know if the small building on the left is a blacksmith or inn. The civilian looks indeed a bit out of place. But I'll get it for sure!
  17. A very elegant vessel, that deserves to be in the spotlight!
  18. really great idea!
  19. What bothers me most in City is that all sets from various subthemes vanish from the store completely after some time. Would it be such a problem to leave just one small or medium sized set for airport, harbour etc. each and let it stay on the shelves until it is replaced by a newer version, when Lego makes a complete rerun. The last cement mixer was sold about 10 years ago. Just think how many kids/parents would have bought one during that time, if one was available! Concerning the 2021 summer list I find it quite odd, that after introducing the new roadplates (which I don't like) we don't get more buildings like a small post office, hospital or something to connect with. Or a construction site - no demolition please ! - Lego City has a serious housing problem after all.
  20. Great that Creator begins to shape as a last safe haven for traditional themes that don't sell well on their own. I really hope Lego continues this approach. I suspect the figures will be similar to the CMFs; can't imagine that the new Black Falcons torsos will be used in a cheaper set at present.
  21. Merry Christmas! This is such a great design, and I'm really looking forward to your lovely Idea's cabriolet.
  22. Certainly wouldn't have called this "Gardens Of Ninjago City"... Somehow I was imagining an elevated park similar to the High Line in New York set between an ancient & modern style building.
  23. Thank you very much for providing the instructions for the car! Can't wait for the police station modular now...
  24. Well the old baseplates (Islanders, Wild West, Paradisa) were never intended to be expandable in the first place, but I think you miss my point. If Lego decided to introduce a new (flexible) system, then parts needed for its expansion also have to be easy accessible (=regular retailer). Xtra bags with bike lanes, trees, lamps etc. are fine, but are Lego store only (at least for now) and no parent will drive even 20km for a polybag just to please the offspring; regular parents even don't know that there are PaB walls in store or that the online store has more cool sets to offer like modulars. The road plates are quite expensive, so Lego has to reach out to a wider group of customers and that can't happen through store exclusives.
  25. 60236 road pack is already listed as retired product: https://www.lego.com/en-at/product/straight-and-t-junction-60236 Thanks to all for providing the links to the road plates reviews. Unfortunately they confirmed all my doubts about the new developed system; useful for AFOLs but in my eyes absolutely not for small kids and their parents. Example: a bike lane (like from the shopping street) is not included in the 60304 expansion set; tiles in that particular color seem to be quite rare and I doubt 5+ kids will be able to make PaB orders online. By the way, how many parents do you think buy special parts for (small) kids?
