  1. A really poor set in my opinion; seems there's no love nor thought behind the design. Just one car, tram etc. tossed into a probably huge (and half empty) box so kids will be misled and force parents to buy it. And the price... the same as for Barracuda Bay?! If it wasn't so hot outside one could mistake it for an April fools joke...
  2. The Rogue One & Umbaran battle packs would have been the highlight for me, but I don't think they will ever happen. Shame, you have great ideas here!
  3. I was looking through an old 1991 catalogue (just bought 6781 Space Police Striker and didn't know the old retail price) and to my astonishment people packs from Pirates, Castle, City... with 5 or 6 minifigs + accessories cost the same as the road baseplates back then. Well, that was a good bargain and easy way to populate the town! Except for the small Starter packs I considered the Peoples packs quite expensive - 40€ and basically no bricks. I suspect there wasn't just enough demand, and I really hope Lego will replace it with something better...
  4. I love Mocs that are placed in historical context. I think part one is here:
  5. Here are some comparison shots: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2020/03/24/lego-ideas-21322-pirates-of-barracuda-bay-is-a-2500-piece-love-letter-to-classic-pirates-review/
  6. Of course I don't know anything about the stores and prices in Greece, but 100€ sets (indoor themes or even licensed ones) have good discounts at least 1-2 months before Christmas, if you care to wait that long. I suspect that the Creator ship will share the same fate, at least I'm waiting for some time...
  7. Seems to be a representation of Mickey from the 30's instead the 40's and 50's and therefore the proportions look a little stretched and odd. The price ist just 20€ (!) short from Pirate Bay, I really wonder what can justify this price tag. Perhaps a hidden sound brick in Mickey's guitar...
  8. Why can't Lego make catalogues like that; simply stunning!
  9. Fabuland reminds me so much of the children's books drawn by Richard Scurry, and I think it would be still a better introduction into Lego for smaller kids than the current 4+ sets. A wonderful build!
  10. https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-june-2020-store-calendar-promotions-events/ I hope the promotion will be in Europe too...
  11. Baseplates are for eternity, even my great grandkids could play with them in the future... for 9€ you can find much better Lego sets
  12. Magnificent! Great woodwork on the building elevation, watertank, so many nice details... I just have to keep on looking and looking!
  13. Please don't forget to add a cement mixer to the wishing list...
  14. Thanks for the link! The ship is not exactly what I was hoping for, the huge amount of non-brown bricks diminished my enthusiasm slightly. That's always the biggest problem: PaB walls have never brown bricks for sale, so I was really looking forward for this ship. Still, it is a very nice set with interesting building methods and at a reasonable price I'll grab one for sure.
  15. To be honest I don't know what to think about this set: the exterior is too restrained for my taste and too big to fit into a city layout (and it has no monsters like 10228). On the other hand it doesn't resemble a fairground location also, since it's not colorful, spooky and whacky enough (70922 Joker Manor looks more like the buildings I know). The figures are pretty mediocre, especially the ghost! The connection between the torso and the robe ruin the ghostly effect completely... Oh well, I still have the book store and pirate bay on my list.
  16. Since some set numbers for City are still missing, I was wondering if there'll be a smaller (exclusive) airplane like: https://brickset.com/sets/60102-1/Airport-VIP-Service ?
  17. https://twitter.com/simonlucas80/status/1257927707666587648 I am surprised that they have been working on this for 2 whole years, though i suppose designing the sets themselves was much faster. How long did they need for Hidden Side (including the app), which will be replaced so quickly? I hope that Monkie Kid will stay with us for a longer period, the leaks looked very promising.
  18. Or even better Jar-Jar, since today is "Revenge of the 5th"...
  19. Funny how experiences differ. When I showed the Hidden Side sets to various kids, they were intrigued by the art, but when they looked at the back of the box showing its actual content they were suddenly turned off. In my case I suspect it was the used color range, every Ninjago or Friends set was more appealing to them. Monkie Kid will surely be much more successful, when the sets finally appear in Europe, I think.
  20. Are all 4 sets needed to play the boardgame or just some of them? Any info on that? Ninjago sure looks like a Fantasy castle theme right now, and I like it even better.
  21. I like the box art with the Chinese/Western/futuristic houses more than the sets themselves... no buildings again, and the vehicles are far oversized. Perhaps a second wave or Lego exclusive will catch my interest.
  22. But they could have been just a little more generous and attach some wheels to the frame...
  23. you can find the pictures also on: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-creator-sommer-sets-2020/99115/
  24. The big vessel really has a hole in the middle (one picture shows the big shark trying to snatch one of the crew) that's a huge disappointment for me; but otherwise we get so many great animals; Harbour related sets are one of the best in City, as always!
