  1. With power functions as well? This is such a cool idea, I love the use of the Star Wars planet mold. Fantastic job with the lower building as well!
  2. Is it cute? Is it strange? Is it something straight out of the Beatles' hallucinations/ Friday night parties? I do not know what to think!
  3. Oh, the torch flame/feather pieces. I see it now, looked like a wierd, trans-blue banana to me, at first anyways. Thanks.
  4. Wow, Sci. What happened to Lola? How did Lego go from the incredible video game design...to that? Detroit Steel looks pretty alright. Also, what're those pieces on Iron Man's hands?
  5. My most recent and worst minifgure to date was Scott Lang Ant-Man. After just mere days of coming out of the box, I took the minifgure off the display I had made to find his left torso, under the arm, was cracked. I remember Lego had a big quality control issue with the original, 2012, Captain America minifigure, with many of him coming cracked straight out of the box in numerous batches. I picked up three of that set like this. I don't believe there is a way to isolate them from the epidemic, it may sadly be decreasing quality control of the minifigures. It's a sad thought, but as they expand, Lego may possibly be neglecting some things.
  6. Yes, Lego had a promotion like this a few years ago. They rereleased the Jor-El DC promo with any DC Lego purchase. I was able to get said polybag with a keychain. I will try the same here, might grab BB-8.
  7. So, those building events? I stopped in and grabbed Cogsworth yesterday...but he looked different from the advertised build! The pieces used for the top of the head (brown slopes) in the actual build were on the side of the head in the advertisement, and the face used in the advertised build? It was a printed white dish piece. The actual piece in the build was some kind of technic circle face with a black size-2 axle in the center, and worst of all it was all grey. The "sticker" used? Grey. It was a nice build, with some great parts in even better colors...but I was really looking forward to a new printed dish. Was this everywhere, or possibly a locational thing? I mean, the instructions actually showed the sticker. Wierd, right? Edit: The Captain America mosaic build was actually different in the chin in the advertisement than it was when actually constructed.
  8. Yes, we do. Brickset joked about Lego favoring PlayStation in their article about the Dimensions Supergirl exclusive, but I'm getting quite upset by this. I just received The Force Awakens from a friend, and while lookin at the DLCs find more PlayStation exclusives. The droid pack has General Grievous in it...he would not approve of that! But joking aside, I would like it if Xbox and others did get these, as we were supposedly "eventually" promised. With Marvel, it was upsetting. No Ant-Man? But with Star Wars? It just got personal..
  9. Plus an X-Wing in June/August. And one almost identical in build last September. And multiple polybags of the forementioned version. I can't believe they'd make another X-Wing, original or not. Y-Wing makes more sense, and Tantive IV would be a dream come true...
  10. Well done. As a huge Marvel fan it's a neat little detail to take from the game. But this model would look fantastic in any Lego city!
  11. No word, no leak, no news. This week ToysRUs stores (at least here in the US) have all Lego DC Super Heroes sets at 20% off "their" MSRP.
  12. This week, coinciding with the DVD release of Caprain America: Civil War, ToysRU stores (at least in the US) have all Lego Marvel Super Heroes sets at 20% off "their" MSRP.
  13. Poor Bane... But wow, they totally one-upped Lego's Atom minifgure. I like the detailing on Flash, Reverse Flash, and Zoom...but the use of the same color-scheme Lightning piece feels out of place.
  14. Looks pretty good. (I'm judging it solely against the Lego Marvel's Avengers version). Why do I think he's using a Ferrari Speed Champion's jacket?
  15. Yes, the effect is very impressive. You've built some very cool pieces of furniture and displays here as well!
  16. Wow, Sci! The Boba Fett BrickHead is my favorite because Boba Fett is my favorite character from Star Wars, and I have to say that use of the axe piece is very neat! Bias aside, the Jaxk Sparrow is a fantastic model as well, and the Harry Potter glasses are ingenious! The upside down building for Azari is also quite a cool outcome. Keep them coming, I could really dig these if Lego comes anywhere close to yours!
  17. I've been waiting until my birthday to open my final Marvel set, which happens to be the bridge. Figured the wait would make it even more worthwhile. Well, that day is tomorrow, and it's getting hard to look at the box in my closet. I will let you all know my thoughts when it is completed tomorrow afternoon!
  18. These set names are alright. I think the Captain America one is not very creative, given the Blaxk Panthed pursuit set from earlier this year.
  19. This si stunning! The effect you've created here with the slopes make it look almost identical to the actual movie shot, it took me a minute to see anything but the minifgure!
  20. Building micro-scale models is my favorite Lego technique. It's a challenge, and you have finished on top this time. The layout, on such a small base, is excellent! The AT-ST walker is fantastic. I really like what you've done here, I've been wanting to make a micro Mos Eisley spaceport for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.
  21. You've created a very unique look with this ship. I like the use of the balloon slopes upon the turrets. The color scheme is definitely interesting. I really like how it all just comes together...it all flows.
  22. For one week, the base alone is extraordinary work. The texturing and overall look of the built-up base is exemplary technique, and I really like the look of the ships. I'm not sure I have a favorite, but they all go together well with each other despite no two being the same. I really do like the Bluejacket. I'd love to see more layouts like this.
  23. For 20 minifgures, I could totally see that. I know Lego has a habit of distributing different characters in different amounts. But I feel that four of each of the 20 characters would definitely work for retail. I mean, it makes sense. Did Disney, at 18 minifgures, even use an 80-packet box?
  24. We know nothing but the details of "3 sets" coming.
  25. Ooh, totally! I mean, hey, this is primarily a Marvel thread. I'm thinking paint job!
