  1. It's sort of an educated guess; more and more reviews of the Thor sets keep coming out at a similar rate to the Homecomig sets, meaning people are getting both
  2. ^I think the head print remains the same
  3. Uh-oh... Maybe someone should email Lego about the discrepancy of the Thor sets in the comic, once they have the set on-hand? We could get an official explanation
  4. Oky, I love the last one! The implication is funnier than just saying the line!
  5. My problem is just the logic flaw. We most definitely get the Spidey sets as marketing before the film, so we should get the Thor sets same as everyone else. It's not like people in Europe will be spoiled while the US remains in the dark, mainly because of the internet and the fact that no spoilers are in the sets this time around. So I can't find a logical solution as to why we wouldn't get them in June
  6. Yowza! This is like when that guy had over fifty of the Collector the day before the drawing at comic con. That's insane! It also makes me wonder if he's the pre-order bonus, or something coming down the road as a general promotion (a la Rocket Raccoon).
  7. Well, it's definitely a 2017 release. Not that we were considering a 2018 release, but now we know.
  8. To quote Darth Vader: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
  9. Is this confirmed? We've been given news from some local stores that they're on the shelves in as early as two weeks time. So maybe not worldwide. We're hopeful for June 1st, but still unsure.
  10. Thanks for the comparison, I too am partial to the original Aquaman look. However, your custom looks great in relation to its on-screen inspiration
  11. Well, I very much appreciate what you have done here. You displayed all the play features of the set we didn't know about before yesterday's box art reveals, and shown off some great angles that made me appreciate it so much more than I did before (maybe not appreciate it for $60 worth, but that's hard to do). As one of those lucky enough to already have heir hands on the set, I applaud and thank you for getting this video out to us. I try not to rely on other's opinions, and this really helps influence my purchase.
  12. I had not thought of this, that's a great point. This is all great news, I don't at all mind an early release. I'm already hyped in time for the movie Marvel, just shut up and take my money! Also, June 1st is just two weeks away!
  13. I really, really hope this is the case. I'll be in Florida in June, and I will surely be stopping by that fantastic Lego store in Disney Springs. And my fingers are tightly crossed that I'll be able to pick up these two bigger sets of 2017 on my Disney card!
  14. Thanks, I figured. But with all the leaks, part of me just wondered
  15. 3 minifigures back on the right: is that the real Jason Momoa-based Aquaman minifigure from the upcoming Justice League film wave, or a custom?
  16. Great review, thank you! I'm so hoping that these come out in June since we've got official images and reviews out!
  17. I'm not going to lie: I'm way more into the Thor: Ragnarök sets than the Spider-man: Homecoming sets after seeing the official images. There's an improvement seeing them in HD without the background, and the minifigures are still superb
  18. The angles made by the arm clips are so cool, I can't believe it's all worked! But I'm pleasantly wowed and inspired by this!
  19. This is true, some days you can still find 76022 up to 20% off on Amazon. I personally nabbed one up right when they hit the shelves out of excitement, but I'm just one consumer.
  20. I hope a Watcher wouldn't be an SDCC giveaway; Watchers preside over important events, definitely including the upcoming Infinity War. I could totally see a promo near the time of/ a minifigure in the Infinity War sets.
  21. Back in 2012, Lego released the "Attack of the Wargs" set. Perfect 400 pieces...also $50. That one came with five minifgures and not one, but two wolves. Now in "The Ultimate Battle for Asgard," we got six minifigures, but only one wolf. I think Lego has balanced things alright here. in all seriousness, it's overpriced any which way you look at it. The minifigures are great, but you just do not see $50 and $60 there, respectively. I can't be,I Eve both sets are less than 500 pieces and both have a $50+ price tag. Especially not after what they pulled with the Hulk v Red Hulk set in January.
  22. So, I haven't really read through much of this thread as of late. Do we know if the Thor: Ragnarök sets are being released as an August wave? The Homecoming sets are a June release, I'm sure. Just judging by the numerous in-hand leaks of minifigures, I figured it had to be soon, and it seems appropriate given the Doctor Strange set last August (with the film out that November)
  23. Just to clarify, I am keen on the idea of getting more than one set with Thanos. However, the battle-damaged variants never happen; that was a little bit of wishful thinking on my part there.
  24. Not sure if this has been brought up, but with the likely 5-6 Infinity war sets we'll get, I can see us getting Thanos in multiple sets. The Age of Ultron wave featured Hulk in two sets, and multiple iterations of Ultron. Is it possible maybe we would get a large, flagship set with Thanos as well as another medium-price set? Maybe variations of him, or variations of the Gauntlet hand (with or without stones)? A battle-damaged Thanos would complete everything I want from this wave. On a side note, with the possibility of seeing the Black Order show up in sets, Im just putting it out there that I think it's kind of cool to be building not only the roster of Avengers in the film, but also collecting sets to get a team of villains rather than building an army of foot soldiers. It hasn't been done for Marvel so much, unless you count the Sinister Six.
