Slave I Retrospective and UCS Comparison
Bricky Dee Williams replied to ZCerberus's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow, this was a very interesting read. Boba Fett is and always has been one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Lego has certainly improved on the craft since its first release years ago. The only one I personally own is the 2010 edition of the Slave I, but this is really pushing me towards getting the UCS edition, which I've been swinging towards for a while. Seeing how different parts of the models have developed and improved over the years is very interesting. The cockpit windscreen really is a signature of the model, I don't entirely see how they can improve on that with future versions, and the UCS edition will of course be the "be-all end-all" of the Lego Slave I. -
I agree, I really like this take of him.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I opened my Doctor Strange set on Thursday, and I love it! The build is satisfying, I love the bookcases/shelves. The portal monster is very interesting, a better Tentacle Trap then Doc Ock's! The minifgures are superb in my opinion, and the printed elements for Doctor Strange and the Ancient One are very nice. For $30 USD, 358 pieces is terrific! I love this set. One thing I changed however was the knob on the left for the cape to hang upon. I don't like to often remove minifigures' heads, so I figured I would not use this function often. I replaced the row the knob function is built into with a sand/tan 1x4 with studs on the side. I built a "framed" map onto the wall (the map from the Dol Goldur Hobbit polybag). I think it looks very nice, not at all out of place (sorry, I'm unable to post a picture as I don't have a photos sharing account) -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I suppose you are right, upon further inspection there is absolutely no room fro one. It surprises me just a bit, given the inclusion of the utility belt printed right up to the recent Desert Batman, in all different colors on all different variants. But the carticature of a belt included in the Lego Batman Movie wave does allow this omission, I suppose. -
lego captain America civil war collection
Bricky Dee Williams replied to legosamsonite's topic in LEGO Licensed
I put all mine together on a table the other day just to see how they looked, and they do really go well together. The colors don't seem to clash, and you can make some pretty cool action shots for a display with Legos -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't know. Every Batman has a belt printed on the torso. I don't see why they wouldn't print one on these variants for the movie, belt piece included over top as well or not. I mean, look at the Civil War Falcon minifgure: he has a special wing pack piece over his neck that covered his back printing, but the back printing contained a print of the closed wing pack as well. -
Wow, I really love it! I just finished watching all the movie over again a couple weeks ago, and this is a great interpretation. One question, though: that is the Indominus Rex's jaw on the Ironbelly, right?

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
After TTG Raven in Dimensions, and now the news that the next wave of DC is "girls" sets with minidolls, my hopes weren't high for much of this as a regular Lego DC fan.- 3,020 replies

From the front, I wouldn't have guessed it was open from the back. Well done with the geometric and texture of the build. I really like it!

Very nice, I like the way you've built out the hair. The slopes of the legs and boots are nicely done as well. Another fantastic build, Vitreolum.

I just has to order multiple replacement pieces for the special clip pieces that made up Groot's fingers from 76020. These brown/reddish brown pieces were very, very loose on the "hands," and one actually snapped when moved. A very weak piece, I hope the replacements are better quality.

Wow, I absolutely love what you've done! There are so many I like! The Harley and Batgirl pair, the Nexo Knights pair, the Lego Mvoei Pair (the Space Logo is terrific), the Ghostbusters pair, the Spidey and Green Goblin pair...you made Chima look terrific! The hair is done very well for Laval! I cannot wait to see more of these. You've gotten me really excited for the potential of this theme, if they will be anything like yours.

Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!
Bricky Dee Williams replied to c0rnedfr0g's topic in LEGO Licensed
So, I started putting my Marvel minifigures out onto display. I've taken a light blue 16x32 baseplate and covered it (all but 1x32 studs of it, anyways) with black 3x4 CMF plates. I got all of my 2012 and 2013 minifgures as well as 11 minifigures from 2014 onto the one baseplate display (note that I am missing the three minifigures from 6866 as well as the 2012 Hulk polybag). I plan to order two more of the same baseplate and about 60 more CMF plates to cover two more and finish 2014, 2015, and 2016. I have to order Mary Jane Watson (2014) and Baron Von Strucker (2015) but then my collection will be complete. -
Could SLCC someday have Lego exclusives?
Bricky Dee Williams replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Absolutely not. An interests question you've posed though, the rapidly growing attendance numbers of the event could lead to such a thing, no doubt. -
What was the last movie you watched?
Bricky Dee Williams replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I just watched Arsenic and Old Lace (1944). It's a fantastic Dark Comedy (I think that's the genre). I found my local high school Drama Club is doing it Halloween weekend. -
[MOC] Batman Versus Green Hornet (1966 TV Series)
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Vincent Q's topic in LEGO Licensed
Holy amazing MOC Batman! The Green Hornet is very well done (I still laugh at those old cars from the show, just look at the actual Green Hornet's headlights; they're practically solid yellow!) The kicking leg build is also very eye-catching, and I like how you did it. Great job, I hope to see more classic builds like this one. -
Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree. A play set is really needed to give a wave a complete feeling, in my opinion. Know here did a fantastic job, I thought, and offered some good features as well as not looking bad on display. I'm looking forward to this wave: it could very well surprise us all. Whereas the Avengers are the Avengers, and Spidey is Spidey, these sets have the potential to be as wild and fun as their source material, and that's something I'm really interested in seeing.- 5,808 replies

Wow, that makes for a fantastic display! I love the way you did the workout area, and the texturing of the rock walls. The various "trophies" are well displayed in my opinion, nothing too over the top. A big congratulations to you!

Looks cool, like an AAT (the color has something to do with that as well). On a side note, I love the Incredibles Dash minifigure you're working on!

The new Fall 2016 catalog was released in Lego Shop stores yesterday, on August 29th, 2016 (I saw a lot about the international catalog but wasn't sure which one you meant).
