DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
If it is comics, I had a really interesting idea for Firestorm while going through my Marvel minifigures today: What if Firestorm uses Star Lord's helmet for his head/helmet piece? Does it seem too out there? The borders would be red rather than silver, Firestorm's face would replace Star Lord's mask, and the "hair" could be molded trans-orange for the flame on top. It seems unlikely, but I thought that'd be a clever use of a mold (I do realize the two vent tubes at the front on the bottom center could cause a problem)- 3,020 replies

I was thinking Lego might go the direction of "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" for the second pair.- 5,808 replies

Thanks pzh2000 for the blown-up image. Looking at it as a whole, it sort of reminds me of an older Model Team set. The large build was is a reason I like it, and seeing the use of all those large windows and banner pieces is an improvement over my first impression

Wow, I really like the harness details. Given the function of the set (Batmobile dropping out of the sky), it's pretty cool to see the safetys depicted here. I like the look of this variant very much. ^I agree, those silver eyes look great!- 3,020 replies

(Those Funko figures actually look really good!) The rest seem to be very similar to the Lego counterparts, although I'm not sure if the Hela minifigure has green eyes? Side note: we got a Lego minifigure of every one of those characters, save Heindall! That's worth lamenting.- 5,808 replies

Ah, under Dimensions. Thank you That's over 1,700 pieces with extras! Yowza!
-
Hey, that's pretty cool! In relation to say the T1 Camper Van, if it has an interior I think it'd be undoubtedly worth it for $120. Where was it said that it's 1,600 pieces? Not doubting, I just didn't see it. That is a good ratio

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Benedict Cumberbatch has been releasing set photos and videos from Avengers: Infinity War today, and it made me realize the possibility of getting a minifigure of Wong next year! I really liked "Doctor Strange," but I hadn't realized he had a supporting (?) role in the film. I'm really looking forward to whatever this wave of sets (oh, and the film of course!) will bring. @TheBrickLord: I love the idea of getting a Leviathan. There was one in Tony Stark's AoU vision, I can only hope we'll get one from Infinity War. -

Right, but he's asking whether or not they're selling well. Was the shift to more public retailers because they were selling well and they thought they'd make more money being more widely available, or because they weren't selling well and they wanted to get them out to more public markets (in an effort to sell more, maybe people didn't know they were a product?)- 5,808 replies

The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
Bricky Dee Williams replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
Voted for Hawkman and Ronan. However, I'll say that when the first Aveners wave of sets came out, the Chitauri made a very cool-looking army to build up. I always liked those minifigures -

I also feel it's necessary to see the interior. I mean, is hope there are seats and standing poles (there better be for $120!) but I may be disappointed
-
I like it, though I agree it looks a bit modern, or "sporty" as tpvelo called it. I have to say, however, that I love how rounded and smoothed the top sides are using the rim piece from the Volkswagen Beetle. I think a few improvements could be made on the sides of the front grill, allowing more in front of the tires. I don't know if I'll get it for $120, but I far from hate it.

It looked fantastic from the outside as was, but...there's an interior! This is stupendous, and the fact that it's lit as well? The common room is one of my favorites, the use of the wagon wheel for the chandelier is a great idea (I've never seen clips used that way, though...questionable, but innovative). Well done, Etelenzos!

REVIEW: 76077 Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes
Bricky Dee Williams replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
I noticed you didn't apply the stickers; I tend not to do this as well, aside from the large aircraft vehicles (which I display). I think I'm he only person who voted "outstanding" for the set, and that's due to the overdue inclusion of Coulson (and Lola as an added bonus), the great-looking super suits, and the fact that I may have gotten this set for $20! I enjoyed your review, and I agree that Detroit Steel is a poor representation of his comic book source material -

For the love of all things-why would they do this?!!! These are some of their most popular characters! That Spider-man is amazing! Do they even know how much money they would make off of a wide release?!! Edit: haha, didn't catch that I called it an "amazing. Spider-Man"- 5,808 replies

Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!
Bricky Dee Williams replied to c0rnedfr0g's topic in LEGO Licensed
I feel you Cap! I'm buying Ravager Attack, Captain America Jet Pursuit, Beware the Vulture, and ATM Heist Battle on July 1. That leaves me with the Thor sets (not yet in the US) and Hulk vs Red Hulk. This gives me 12 new minifigures from these sets, plus the three from Detroit Steel Strikes, four from the Milano, 3 from Ayesha's Revenge, and 2 from Iron Man vs Thanos (plusthe tree Dr. Strange minifigures from 2016!) that I've already got. I need a whole new baseplate to display these guys! If you wait a while, they really sneak up on you! -
