I don't usually buy sets anymore, I mostly just make MOC's. The closest I get to buying these days is when I see a new set and I reverse engineer it from pictures... I did this most recently when the haunted mansion CREATOR set leaked and I made it into a modular a full two months before it was released.

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
They stopped having to cut new molds like that when they switched from PC for transparent parts to MABS. They still do cut new molds like the old days sometimes, but it's rarer than it used to be. -
You can't post picture leaks on EB, or links to them. You can only describe where to find them, or text descriptions of what the leaks look like.

[LEGO Ideas] Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Murdoch17 replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I hope we get the boat, so then we can recreate the tunnel scene where the other actors thought Gene Wilder had genuinely lost his mind: 'There's no earthly way of knowing Which direction we are going There's no knowing where we're rowing Or which way the river's flowing Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing So the danger must be growing Are the fires of Hell a-glowing? Is the grisly reaper mowing? Yes, the danger must be growing For the rowers keep on rowing And they're certainly not showing Any signs that they are slowing!'- 68 replies

No problem! They seem to have been taken care of.

Just letting you know, there are still a handful of spam threads over in Town forum. Thank you for all that the EB staff do for us users!

@Jim (and any other moderator who sees this post) General LEGO Discussions and the HELP forum are filling up with spam threads at a rate I can't keep up with by reporting them all. Thus, I'm reporting it here.

7 studs wide 2-10-4 'Texas' type steam locomotive - real world MOC
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks @Shiva! -
This 2-10-4 'Texas' type steam locomotive MOC I have made has two older ancestor LEGO models that were both 2-8-4 'Berkshire' types by other builders. Parts / techniques / ideas from these two models were mashed together to design my own loco. For the first ancestor loco, we have to go back to 2012, when I bought @SavaTheAggie's 8-stud wide 2-8-4 Polar Express loco instructions. I then spent the next three years heavily modifying the model I made from them, eventually ending up enlarged into a 2-10-4 'Texas' type. This revised loco also had a very similar color scheme to my new loco, with an all-black look with red box on the tender. This original 'Texas' type loco was destroyed long ago for parts. You can buy the original loco instructions by Sava here. For the second engine, we move forward to 2021, when I bought some Rebrickable instructions by @Plastic_Goth for a 7-stud wide 'Berkshire', from which I took the boiler and cab areas and made the rest of the loco myself using principles and ideas gleamed from the first loco 9 years prior. this design was modified and used several times in 4-8-2, 4-8-4, 2-8-4, and more wheel arrangements over the years. You can buy the instructions by Plastic_Goth here. Now in 2025, I have designed a 2-10-4 based on a stretched Plastic_Goth boiler with the paint scheme of my modified 8-wide version of the Sava Railways engine and my own loco running gear + tender. I think I did a really good job mashing these ideas together and making it into my own MOC. The engine rolls beautifully without any major issues except one: when being pushed backwards the engine can collide with the tender. Grabbing the loco itself and pushing the tender back (instead of dragging the loco behind the tender by holding that) bangs the cab roof into the top of the tender. It's my design's fault, and I can't seem to sort the issue out, unless If making the cab roof shorter in length. (which I don't think looks good and won't be doing.) The rear of the loco. Apologies for the one tile not being pushed down all the way - it has since been fixed. The cab of the loco, with firebox and gauges. The engine is 7 studs wide from this point back through the tender, while the boiler is 6 wide, not including the overhang for the walkways. Thoughts?

[MOC] Logan's Run TV series vehicles and characters
Murdoch17 replied to jp-30's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Today I learned Logan's run had a TV show. I've seen the movie, but the TV show is news to me! But more on topic, this is a cool MOC of a forgotten part of Tv history. Keep up the good work @jp-30! -

Fantastic Four: First Steps - Fantasticar - real world MOC
Murdoch17 posted a topic in LEGO Licensed
This model is NOT my creation, but is almost totally from this free Rebrickable MOC by user legoswoda, which was itself based on set 60789 (Flying Moon Car) and the Fantasticar from the upcoming MARVEL film about the Fantastic Four. The front view of the '60s retro-futuristic car. The rear of the vehicle. I added the 2x3 and 1x3 plates to the bottom of the MOC to reinforce it. Also, the wheels are easily removable for flying mode. ...and now for some fun! (Because what would the Fantastic Four be without Galactus?) The Thing: 'Hit it Reed, Galactus is right behind us!" Human Torch: 'Maybe if I got out and pushed...' Invisible Woman: 'Must go faster, must go faster!' Mister Fantastic: 'Hands at ten and two, use turn signals and obey all traffic laws... Oops, this light is red!'- 2 replies

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Regarding TLBM Arkham, all I can say about that is these two words: Brittle Brown. 2012's Arkham is the best I'd seen up until the leaks of 2025 came out. Also, if you removed a lot of Superhero stuff, the Arkham from '12 makes a great starting point for a gothic manor! -

First, welcome to Eurobricks @Haro! Second: you should probably edit your post, as English is the only language allowed on Eurobricks. Third, I don't know why Hachiroku's link no longer works...maybe he took the video down... Maybe he deleted his Youtube account... Who knows for sure? As for my help, all I have is a LEGO Digital Designer file that I used to design this - I have no instructions to give you. (this program is no longer downloadable and was last updated in 2019) If you use the newer CAD program Studio, you convert a LDD file into a Studio program's file type.... but beware, my model is missing a few parts because of the older program's age! Do you want the digital file?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Bricklink is 100% addictive. If you don't pay real close attention, you can wipe out a paycheck easily with just as few clicks on a wanted list. Shipping / Handling, International shipping, and Fees are what get you. I try to order from my own country (nothing in Alaska or Hawaii either) and block any store with a listed two-digit or more shipping price to save a little cash. (Sorry for the off-topic post) -
[MOC] The Last Spinjitzu Master
Murdoch17 replied to King_of_Lomadia's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice work with this fig @King_of_Lomadia, and the reasoning is logical - If there is a First, there must also be a Last. I love you've made it the Overlord as the LSM. Maybe the Overlord becomes the Last Spinjitzu Master as the Universe begins to end, with the stars blinking out one by one, and the remnants of what was once a thriving civilization cling to a shadow of a life on a barren chunk of rock. He's a lawman in a Universe where time has run amok - but for how long can he cling onto existence without going insane? When will the end time finally come - and will he finally rest then, or will it all just start over again from the Beginning? The LSM screams for he does not know. -

@Trader Brick you can't post leaked images or links to leaks at EB.... so you should probably delete that image. The previous posts about where to find it are all you are allowed to do. Just letting you know! -
It had a message pop up that said 'You have already reported this", or something to that effect. It has always displayed that message when reporting a post twice - until very recently, that is.
-
Yes, I can report a second time. It wasn't like this earlier in the week.

GUYS! Turtle is back.... but he's on Brickset. TurtleFinland is the username, and he's commenting on the new Transformers set reveal page.... and it has to be him, nobody talks like that but him. See below in spoiler for a complete copy-pasted transcript of two such comments: He also has another one from a few minutes before that one saying: Thoughts?
-
Usually when you report spam, it doesn't allow for a second report. Either the post reporting feature is broken, or the thing that makes it not able to second report is.... not sure. Anybody have any ideas what's going on? Or if it's not going through at all? On a related note, I think i accidently reported a thread / post twice today in Train Tech.... usually it doesn't let you do that, and I wasn't sure if had previously reported it. (Sorry about that if i did!)
