  1. Thank you @LEGO Train 12 Volts! Thanks @The Reader! The base under the cockpit part uses a 4x6 and 1x6 plate, put next to each other to make a 5x6 plate - I hope this info helps you! Also, that fig has been around for over a decade - 2014 was when I made him! (yes, there is an S missing, but spellcheck was saying it wasn't a word with it in there and something looked off, so I removed it) Thank you @Autumn ! I also really love the car cockpit part - I hope it doesn't get retired! (we've already lost Johnny's hat - we can't afford to lose anything more!)
  2. Thanks @MKJoshA! Thank you @KotZ! Thanks @jimmynick! I put the gray in the grille and just behind it for contrast - I didn't want to lose what details I had in an totally-black car, so I sprinkled in the light gray to make those areas pop. Though thank you for the suggestion!
  3. Heads up to American / Canadian PAB buyers: the NA market will be missing out these parts - none of them are bestseller here, which means we can't get them. (Damn US tariffs!)
  4. I never really liked Adventurers' Orient Expedition set 7424 - Black Cruiser. It's just too small and doesn't look like something the nefarious Lord Sam Sinister would drive... so I made my own! Unlike the original set, it seats two people using the Adventurers cockpit piece. I also vastly increased the part count from the dinky 24 parts of the original set. Full disclosure - The person this design was slightly inspired by is one of an Adventurers car by @The Reader, and you can view his MOC here. The rear of the car. Thoughts?
  5. Thank you to all the Admins and Moderators who helped get rid of the many spam topics from today - you guys' service to the community is very appreciated!
  6. I keep reporting it, and I also posted about it directly to Jim and JopieK over in the main help forum thread. It's infuriating it's happening, but just be patient - it will be fixed!
  7. Now it's also in the general Lego discussion area, @Jim.
  8. Hey, @Jim, there is almost an entire first page of spam over in train tech. I reported one of them, but i can't report them all - there's just too many, and it also looks like it's (at least) two different users working in tandem. EDIT: Also tagging @JopieK on this, since Train Tech is his domain. EDIT: Up to three or more users now in Train Tech, spamming away. Just letting you know!
  9. off topic: I wish that someone would do an Empire State Express version of the NYC streamlined Hudson and release instructions. You don't see many pictures of that one from back in the day though (so MOCing it would be hard) and for good reason: It was revealed to the public Dec. 7th 1941, and shortly thereafter taking pictures of trains became a major no-no for a number of years.
  10. Thanks for the front-paging of this topic @JopieK - I never would have thought this little industrial switcher would be this popular!
  11. If I had a nickel for every time I saw a NYC Hudson-lookalike streamlined steam locomotives in BDP9, I'd have three nickels - which doesn't sound like much, but its weird it's happened thrice. (Naturally, I voted for all three of them, along with a few other railroad related items, like @zephyr1934's ABS grain elevator - although out of the four, I'd take the elevator!)
  12. First: a personal note to explain why this MOC exists: This film was my early childhood: Twister (1996) was a film I watched everyday from age 3 to age ~6, and I could quote the entire film by heart by age 5, as attested by my parents on multiple occasions. Twister fell by the wayside once Thomas and the Magic Railroad was released to home video in 2001 or so.... which is probably a more kid-friendly than Twister is! I still love this film, and wanted to make my own model of one of the vehicles from the movie for many years. Thus, the first time I set eyes on the red truck from LEGO Ideas set 21354 The Cullen House, I wanted to make it into the yellow truck from the Twister - and now, eight months after the set was released, I have! I modified it to have the lightbar and bracing of the Jeep Honcho from the film, and of course the Dorothy 1 probe was also a must. The bed of the truck has also been heavily modified from the original set to better model the actual truck from the film. The rear of the truck with Dorothy 1 unloaded and ready for deployment. NOTE: Dorothy's design comes from this Rebrickable MOC's version of the probe. Thoughts?
  13. tell him? Why makes his last few moments of innocent joy evaporate even quicker than they will when the set is revealed? It's best to let him have one last hopeful dream while he can. ....before LEGO smashes that dream into more pieces than stars in the sky.
  14. Thanks @Shiva! Thank you @zephyr1934! It appears platforms are not in the cards - my father has been adamant that no platforms will be made. (He's been saying this since he built those canopies in 2015.) Sorry! Yes you do @JopieK! He's got two limited-edition engines, a custom B unit, and all the cars. My father's wanted a custom dome car for decades, but I can't find a period correct design that he likes.
  15. @JopieK @Selander @Feuer Zug Main post updated 10/6/25: The whole first post has been revised with the second floor and station canopy segments added in, along with next text and all-new photos. This model will also be at a train show this weekend, and I'll try to take pictures of it in the layout GtwLUG is planning! Thoughts? (If I tagged you, you commented before and i thought you might want to see the updated model.)
  16. thanks @The Reader! It's not too late to get your own Mr. Knight off Bricklink!
  17. typical Lego website on release day shenanigans! I can't even log into Bricklink, and I'm not buying anything!
  18. Yellow Castle (because you can't beat the classics!) and Vladek's Dark Fortress (because I pined for that as a kid but never got it!) got my votes.
  19. Thanks for the compliments @hikouki and @JohnTPT17!
  20. Yes! now i just hope the parts I ordered yesterday when I got access will by here by the 10th of October - I need them for a train show and setup is that day!
  21. I was inspired by @The Reader and bought a ghost lady to go along with my ghost guy. Here's how to make these ghastly ghosts if you're interested in getting your own: Female ghost 2025 October build-a-fig Ghost lady + light gray 64807 (Minifigure Hair Female Short, Braided on Sides, Hole on Top) Male Ghost Mr. Knight from Marvel CMF S2 (minus head) + head of Film Noir Detective from CMF S25 + light gray 38800 (Minifigure, Hair Bowl Cut Parted in Center)
