  1. Congratulations! This is a really awesome model with nicely made instructions. I'm slowly getting enough parts together to build it.
  2. Like everyone else has said, absolutely stunning! Squeezing that much functionality into a small model is very impressive. I love the warehouse too!
  3. You've done a fantastic job on this. Adding RC while keeping the overall shape of the cart is hard to do. I love the 'all white' look too. Do you have any grinding / clicking issues with the L motors going from 20 bevel to 12 half bevel gears?
  4. I really like the colour scheme too, it took a bit of fiddling around to get it to look right. Thanks for the input. I didn't have the right parts for the fuel tank so I left it off (I don't have a huge amount of parts), but I had no idea where to put the exhaust as it wasn't on the blueprints I was using. The exhaust is a bit too big for the truck anyway :) I'm just a novice with technic, but I always choose the wheels first before starting a MOC. I find them to be the most difficult part to get right, so the entire model gets scaled around the wheels when using blueprints. The wheels aren't particularly special, I just wanted to see if I could create a RC MOC using them. maybe... I thought my model looked a little bit A-Team-esque (my wife doesn't think so though) Thanks for the input. I might experiment a bit more to see if I can remove the old parts in the model. Thanks mate.
  5. Hi everybody, It's been quite hectic for me over the past 3 months, but I finally got some time to build over the Easter break. I wanted to see if I could build a small RC vehicle using the cargo plane's back wheels (42025). I settled on a truck as it was the easiest vehicle to fit all the PF components in. Below is the result. Specs - 1x L motor at 1:1.33 - 1x Servo - functional hood - functional doors - battery access at back - working front lights - 28Lx11Wx11H (chassis, in studs) - 588g The truck is 4 studs smaller in width (11W vs 15W) compared to what I'm used to and it certainly presented some interesting challenges. It's loosely based on a GMC truck. It's not perfect, but for its size I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately due to the small size of the wheels, I had to use a 2 stud high technic part from 20 years ago for steering (part 4261). I don't believe there's any new parts that can accommodate this (Please let me know if there is!). More images at bricksafe Once again, any feedback is appreciated.
  6. This car looks amazing, but I don't think it will be RC. It looks like more of a display model. Feature rich with probably 2500+ parts at my guess. Amazingly expensive though. Hope I'm wrong about RC, love some new PF components. Finally a 16+ classification on the box
  7. Wow, you've done a great job! Love the modifications, especially the front and back bumper area.
  8. Thanks for the tip LegoCube. I have a lot of these parts in pink so I'll give it a go.
  9. Thanks miguev. Glad you like the video, it's a bit silly :)
  10. Hey, I like the modifications. Thanks for building and sharing! I'm currently building your classic car and it's a really enjoyable build. So, thanks for the instructions 2x L motors @ 1:3 is pretty quick
  11. I haven't been MOCing for very long, but I either 'cradle' this type of battery box, or use these types of parts on the back.
  12. That's a really impressive compact RC model! The blue panels really 'pop' in the photos too. Love it.
  13. Thanks for replying kris. I don't have a mechanical mind so I struggle with this stuff. So I take it that my gear ratio (24gear to 8gear) is 1/3:1, which converts to 1:3. If it was the opposite (8gear to 24gear) it's 3:1, which converts to 1:0.333. So in other words I've been writing it wrong. Hang on, I just read that last bit again. If you talk about teeth it's 24:8, which is 3:1, but if you talk about rotation it's 1/3:1, which is 1:3. So for my model either one is correct. Confusing!
  14. The blue seats look great! I think the red and orange might be clashing a bit. Regardless, it's an absolutely stunning build. Hope you make instructions for it .
  15. I just have a question for someone about gears. Which is the correct way to specify gear ratio? If the gears are 3x faster (24 gear to an 8 gear), is it 3:1, or 1:3? Sariel has it 3:1, but I've seen it the other way a lot too. Just want some clarification. Thanks
  16. Simple!? We have differing opinions on what that word means . Love the bodywork. I have to agree on the comments about colour scheme though.
  17. Thanks rockbrick! Flipping one motor is certainly possible, but there'd be gears on both sides, causing possible harm to the cables. Keeping all the gears on one side allows more room. Great idea though!
  18. Great C model! I'm quite amazed what people are making with the artic truck.
  19. Awesome buggy, but the screws make me cringe as well . It certainly has a lot of power! Love to get my hands on some buggy motors.
  20. Thanks everyone!
  21. I love both models, but the Honda civic is superb! Thanks for the instructions.
  22. Merry Christmas! My girls are very excited
  23. Thanks erelender. You're right, it's very loosely based on this manufacturer in truck form. Thanks Sylvian and Sm01 Thanks Kris. Bevel gears are very easy to change to (20/12) but at 1.66:1 it's a bit too slow for me. This model is great fun to zip around the house. I have absolutely no idea what this means, but I'll take it as a compliment. Thanks!
