  1. Hi there everyone This creation is similar to my last project (mini jeep), but in truck form. Nothing fancy, but I had a lot of fun making it. Specs 2x L Motors @ 3:1 1x Servo Functional Doors Working front lights 29L x 15W x 16H (chassis, in studs) 708 grams Thanks. Feedback is appreciated.
  2. I never heard of Baja trucks until I joined this forum, now they're everywhere! Lovely build with nice lines, and I really like the lime green and white colour combination. It would be great to hide the IR receiver, but I know that can be tricky.
  3. Thanks Lego Dino! I see a resemblence to the discovery, but I think it's closer to a wrangler, or as victor pointed out a Mopar Lower 40 (minus the bumper). It really isn't based on anything specific though. Thanks Samer! and thanks for the like . I managed to shave 9 grams off the back so it's quicker now (well, very slightly )
  4. Really nice build! You've done a great job replicating the original.
  5. Thanks 2Lego! I'm really happy with how fast it is.
  6. I love this! So much functionality in such a small space. Looking forward to the video. Also, which set do you get those wheels from?
  7. This looks awesome! Love the black body with lime green wheels. Photos look great too.
  8. I think you've done a really good job on this. Much better than my first MOC.
  9. You're really giving this set a workout: planes, hotrods, what next? Great job, i like it! I find building something from one set quite hard to do.
  10. Really clean build with nice attention to detail. Fantastic job!
  11. Thanks for the comments everyone. I really don't mind the model being 'cute', anything small has a cuteness factor. Thanks for the suggestions to remove the cuteness. If you click on the bricksafe link, there's an underside shot there. I know the model is lacking, it's definitely form over function... so 'modded lowered street version' it is . I tried the smooth wheels, but it doesn't look as good. 2 L motors is a bit of overkill, but gives the model a bit more power when geared up. Fun to drive! Like sevenstuds said, train sets (I don't think they're rechargable though), or brinklink or the lego shop. The video is now up on the first post.
  12. (Comment removed due to double post )
  13. I couldn't stop looking at the pictures, just gorgeous. Beautiful job on the headlights and frontend.
  14. Hi there! This MOC began by trying to create something else. I was experimenting with L motors and trying to get the scale right for my next project, and I ended up making a mini chassis that was great fun to drive around. I decided this side project was more interesting so I kept going. My wife says it's 'very cute'; not quite what I was going for. I would've liked to get suspension in the model, but I found there wasn't enough space for my skill level. This MOC isn't based on anything, it's just a fun little RC model. Specs - 2x L motors at 3.33:1 - 1x Servo - functional hood - functional boot (battery access) - working front lights - 30Lx15Wx14H (in studs) - 642g More images at Bricksafe. I had a ball driving this jeep around the house. It looks offroad, but it can only be driven on flat surfaces. The turning circle is quite tight, and the wheels skid a bit as it turns at full speed. Once again, feedback is appreciated.
  15. Thanks Fulan! Glad you like it.
  16. Great work with the boat, love the look of it. Looks a lot better without the tyres.
  17. Great! Looking forward to it.
  18. Thanks MacKaiwer. I saw on another thread how many sets you own, my wife would kill me if I had that many!
  19. Thanks Milan. I've been watching your TC8 thread, your mobile crane is looking awesome!
  20. Nice job! I think the panels look better.
  21. Wow, that was quick. Nice job! Can't believe you got a L motor in there. Are you posting a video?
  22. Thanks! I'm not sure which set the minifigure came from, I've had it for over 20 years.
  23. Thanks for the replies, and darsedz thanks for pointing out the Axle collection thread, it was very informative This is what I was looking for. I've just ordered a few parts from BL. Much cheaper. Thanks!
  24. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows of a small independent suspension / steering setup that's 17 or less studs wide, using these type of wheels, but doesn't use these parts I'm debating whether I should just bite the bullet and buy these bits (they're fairly expensive). I'm having trouble working out these setups for smaller models and any help is appreciated.
