  1. After some deliberation I decided to enter the TC7 contest. This is only my 2nd MOC, however it turned out a lot better than I expected. I gave up on this MOC at least 3 times, but I kept coming back to it and the mechanisms started to work so I decided to finish it. I chose Enforcer as I only have a decent amount of white and black parts. Transformation The build is a truck that transforms into a 'water skimmer'. It's supposed to be in the same vein as the MASK car that opens its doors to become an aircraft; it's impossible for this setup to work in real life but it looks cool. For the transformation, I used fairly simple mechanisms, and all the gears are connected together. In fact, the gears only move around 7-8 spokes to go from truck to skimmer. To get everything to move correctly was quite an accomplishment for me. The build transforms by opening up the sides of the truck. There's also the standard HoG for steering and the doors open and close. Features Water Skimmer Transformation - Base plate under the truck extends down so it can 'skim' across the water. This also pushes the wheels off the ground. - 'Stabiliser Skis' come out, and rotate around all four wheels. - Back of vechicle opens up and jet engine moves out slightly Weaponry Transformation - Medium range missles pop out at the back - Heat seeking missles sit on the back skis - Side panel opens up to reveal small torpedos on each side - Hood opens up to reveal two machine guns Video of Transformation More images at Bricksafe I really enjoyed making this. Any comments are appreciated.
  2. Sorry, I think my post has caused some confusion. I'm sure Jurss is entering his MOC, it's a great build. Thanks MacKaiwer and Jurss for the encouragement, but my MOC is pretty average in comparison. I might post it at some point.
  3. The new wheels look much better. I really like this build, very elegant. You've inspired me to create my own small TC7 MOC (I'm not entering, just for fun). Good luck in the competition.
  4. WOW, this is just amazing! The detail! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Hi Aimtac, welcome to Eurobricks. I've just started getting into technic as well, I've heard the Unimog is a good purchase.
  6. Thanks for the feedback, I've been looking other MOCs and you're right, the windshield needs to be straighter. Lol, it's compact as I don't have enough parts . Thanks for the comments.
  7. This is a fantastic MOC, and thanks for the instructions. I have the parts to build it but i'm finding the black body makes it difficult to see whats going on in the lxf file. I'm building off a tablet so this might be the problem.
  8. This is a really nice C model. Thanks for the instructions!
  9. Thanks for the nice comments everyone. This is one of the friendliest and mature forums that i've been on so far. I think I'll build other peoples MOCs for a bit until I get a better understanding of design and functionality of technic. Hopefully I'll post some more MOCs as I get better at this new hobby (and get a better camera)
  10. Thanks balbo, exetrius and incomplet. Thanks for pointing out the sub forum incomplet, i'll keep an eye on it.
  11. Lol, it does kind of look like this. when i get good enough, i'd like to make something like this http://www.marktraffic.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/mini-Lamborghini.jpg love how compact it is. And for some reason this image is embedding but my images don't.
  12. Hi there, I'm new to both this forum and technic, however I've been visiting this site often for the past few months. I've been amazed at some of the MOCs being built, and after buying a few sets, i thought I'd try to build a compact RC buggy. I'm a bit nervous about posting this as it's no where near the level of other MOCs on this forum. This car has 2xL motors, servo, suspension and front lights, with openable doors and boot (needs some work). Sorry about the terrible images, i don't have a very good camera. http://www.brickshel...50715_36996.jpg http://www.brickshel...50715_16747.jpg http://www.brickshel...50715_49569.jpg I'm posting as I've hit a bit of a wall with this build, and I can't work out if I should keep trying to make it better, or scrap it and start again. The front suspension has been a headache for me and it's made the front end a bit fragile. I also need to fix the doors as they should to go out, not up. I would really appreciate some constructive criticism as I want to get better at MOCing. Also, can someone tell me how to embed the images, it worked on the practise forum, but I'm having trouble here. Edit: well 2 images embedded, 3 didn't, not sure what i'm doing wrong.
  13. Thanks Graham and Dr Spock
  14. Hi there! I'm just getting into technic again after a good 20+ years. My kids have just come into lego and I went 'wow, this new lego looks great!' and it all kind of started from there. My girls love the Friends Lego ATM. Now I just have to justify to my wife why I need to spend $$$ on the new technic coming out...
