  1. Oh, yeah, I missed those. The original Batman line women are all in the current line-up, just with subtle changes. The first 4 Juniors Spiderman had no females, and were Jack Stone sized figs. Already posted several pages back.
  2. Wow, your Castle Greyskull takes me back to the actual playset I had. Skeletor seems to be the most dead-on as a minifig.
  3. I just had a thought about how to make the Thing as a minifigure. I remember removing the arms from a Power Miners rock monster and attaching them to a minifig torso. The rough texture of the arms look like they could do. The rest of the texture effect could be done with printing or a rocky bodywear piece. Just a possibility I thought I'd throw out there, despite its minimal likelihood. When it comes to Pepper Pots as being just a person in a suit, by that logic so are War Machine, Batman, all the Robins (even the one the fans voted should die), Batgirl, the Joker, Harley Quinn and Catwoman (if you ignore the Halle Berry Catwoman storyline).
  4. The Robin as Scarecrow made me laugh. That piece of chain as door handle is inspired, but it wouldn't work for an EB contest.
  5. Wait, there are four female Marvel characters: Spiderwoman (San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive), Phoenix Jean Grey (Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive), Pepper Pots and Black Widow. The upcoming Mary Jane makes five. If you count the original Batman license, there are two different Catwoman figs, two different Poison Ivy figs, three different Harley Quinn figs, Lois Lane, Wonder Woman and Faora (one of Zods army). That's six DC characters currently. The upcoming Batgirl makes seven.
  6. Brickshelf says the file is not public yet.
  7. What is Day 9 supposed to be? It seems Kaliphlin, but I don't understand the reference. Are you meaning this to be some architectural detail?
  8. How have I missed this? I was reading the Whoopi Goldberg IMDb page and saw TMNT. Now I find it isn't just a vocal performance, but live action! Here's hoping we get a Whoopi Goldberg minifig. I loved the classic live-action TMNT films, and hated the 3D animation one, so I'm a little iffy about the potential look of the motion capture turtles. Hopefully it will be ILM (listed in Special Effects credits) doing the turtles some justice, as the original Jim Henson costumes were awesome. The image posted of the turtle in the trench coat harkens back to the originals. Please say we get Raphael in his trench coat as a minifig! The Turtle Lair Invasion set being such a high price makes me believe we may get something on the scale of the turtle lair in TMNT2 & TMNT3. Lego would never do something like the turtle lair invasion from the original movie, with dozens of foot soldiers. Ah, nostalgia. Time to drag out my dvds of those movies.
  9. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie is slated for an August 2014 release. I'm a little upset that is has the current cast of characters, as only Yondu is the only one from the the original cast. Hopefully Lego will take advantage of this, and next summer there will be a few awesome figs.
  10. Of my dream Marvel characters, the original Guardians of the Galaxy, only one will likely get made. I still read my '91 issues from time to time. The upcoming movie (Aug 2014) seems to be the current cast, so they may get made in Lego. The only one from the original characters is Yondu. Some other figs that probably will never happen are all those wonderful Amalgam Comics characters, from the short-lived Marvel/DC joint project. I have no real wants of DC characters, as I am less interested in them.
  11. That is a real big departure from the original Luke Cage story, even for the Ultimate universe. I actually own Cage #1. The original story was Carl Lucas went to prison, where he was experimented on, escaped, and changed his name to Luke Cage.
  12. How far back is the USM tv show from the comics? I don't get the show here. Just looked at the Marvel wiki the Power Man in that costume might not be Luke Cage (originally Carl Lucas), but Victor Hernan Alvarez. He's the son of an enemy of Luke Cage, a hero that often works with Iron Fist. Oh, BTW, there was another Power Man (the first), but he changed his moniker a couple of times, eventually settling on Atlas. He actually lost a fight to Luke Cage over the Power Man name. If Lego is doing the Ultimates version, maybe we'll get the Miles Morales Spiderman. Black costume with red webbing and white eyes. I wonder how they would do his venom blast. I have the 2012 Miles Morales takeover hardcover edition in front of me. The Scorpion in this book would be awesome, with all his tats. The Ringer or the Ultimate universe Omega Red could work too. All this is speculation, though.
  13. Nice little wagon. I'm wanting to call him Romany. That's the proper cultural name of the gypsies.
  14. I'm sure we'll get Sideshow Bob (voiced by Kelsey Grammer), but will we get his brother Cecil Terwilliger (voiced by David Hyde Pierce)? I know we only got him in two episodes, ten years apart, but they were important Sideshow Bob episodes. There is also Sideshow Mel, who is voiced by the same actor that plays Homer, Dan Castellaneta. We are certain to get several characters that are voiced by the amazing Hank Azaria. Moe Syzslak, Chief Wiggum, Apu, Professor Frink, Carl, Snake, Comic Book Guy, Bumblebee Man, Sea Captain, and Kirk Van Houten are all characters he has played. I also loved him on Mad About You. "Hey, der. Hi, der. Ho, der."
  15. Can you direct me to screenshots from the game of Electro? Is he purple and blue? I ask because I've seen the Jamie Fox make-up for the movie. The video game Electro is voiced by David Sobolov, according to IMDb, but the character link gives the Amazing Spiderman 2 Electro image. Answered below. I know the sets were old, but toy licenses from a movie series could run for several years. That's why I don't think Lego will have the Amazing Spiderman movie variants of the characters.
  16. I've been waiting for someone to do the Cymru (proper word in their language) some justice. Glad it was you.
  17. I don't know if anyone reported this, but MegaBloks seems to have gotten the Amazing Spiderman movie license, possibly through Columbia Pictures (like the issue with Fox and X-Men). This means probably no Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary or Martin Sheen in Lego. The sets I saw are absurd, having nothing to do with the film. Not even minifigure scale. 18. Part of the problem with the way the faces look from the front is that, in the cartoon, you loose the depth dimension and the lips disappear from the front. Show the cartoon and fig from the side and you will see the look is correct. (I watched the Simpsons tonight and got a good look at Marge from the side. She's got some long lips.) All this decrying the new themes happens often when we have just a few pictures of leaks to go on. Wait till you can see the whole line as intended before you make your judgement. Better yet, wait till you can see it in person. I'm betting we'll see them at MegaCon 2014 in Orlando, FL. While I probably won't use the Simpsons heads as intended, I'm certain I'll be able to use quite a bit from this line when it comes out.
  19. UoP DoH +1 for the four credits. Don't forget to report the claim in the Claim and Tracking threads.
  20. Woah. Contender for the contest.
  21. How many credits are you claiming? Reading it, seems to be six. You can only claim four. Please clarify, because I'm willing to approve credit if it's clarified.
  22. UoP DoH +1
  23. Remember, the word about just the D2C set and CMFs was for the UK release. The US will probably get an actual range of sets, as we are the target audience. The Homer fig shown is his work outfit, so we should get Homer at his workstation or in Mr. Burns' office. The only reason this version would be used in the house is if Homer is in his car returning home like in the opening credits. The Ned fig could be in the house set if we get the hedge and part of Ned's yard. I find this unlikely, though, and think we'll get a cookout scene with a few of the more popular characters from the episode that outfit was in. The whole issue of when these are supposed to be released may have stemmed from someone mistaking the Lego Movie CMFs release (January) for the Simpsons CMFs release (April/May). We're getting two IP CMF lines in 2014.
  24. Yup. UoP DoH +1 for that wurm.
  25. UoP DoH +1 for the three credits. I was questioning the roof claim too.
