  1. I would suggest you try it in dark red and black, with an octopus(comes in either color) as it's base. That would make it seem more of a Nocturnus tree.
  2. Wonderful evergreen design. Has anyone added this to the tree tutorial? If it hasn't, it should be.
  3. Just got the facade of the High Ministry of the Nestlands Clans building roughly done. This will be my backdrop for the Nestlands Market. For this build I was able to use a variation of the nose-cones of the Eagle Tribe's vehicles from LoC. I had two of them designed for months, but haven't been able to get them incorporated into a build properly. Sorry, no WIP images as the camera is down. Lookin' great, Gabe.
  4. @ ZCerberus & MikeyB I believe Erudhalion Sansael (Gabe) of Peregrinus wore that torso first. Proof!
  5. I believe there is one of this tribe living in Petraea. Podnik Tok (once a slave) owns and operates the Dromedary Drinking Hall. This tribe is one of the reasons that some of the werewolves of the Rakath Mountains come south to Cobalt Vale to trade.
  6. Cool site. No problem for me, as Google Chrome has a translate function. Seems to be translating well.
  7. I always thought of the primary land mass of Historica as a little smaller than Australia. I think of Historica as something like the United Kingdom, with the nation states under the umbrella of Historica. Varlyrio is a relative newcomer to the Historica Kingdom on a separate land mass. If Varlyrio's distance always is constant, then it may be on the same continental plate. There are a few builders who have characters that come from outside of Historica. Damaximus is the most prolific in the use of non-Historica lands in his storylines. Varlyrio lies to the west of the joinable Guilds of Historica, whereas the lands Damaximus describes apparently lie to the east.
  8. This is the original community build from 2012: Petraea University
  9. @DC: I love the Sir Kentis minifig shield. My favorite design of all. I only have two myself. Maybe I'll put some Dark Isle figs in my Nestlands Market, when I get around to building it. I have a few Avalonians already made from NOMEA. Maybe I'll have them arguing over their home politics. When I have the figs made I'll send you some pics and you can name them.
  10. @Gabe: Looking good. The Indiana Jones whip stretched out makes a good approximation of a wrapping vine. Slide a couple 3x4 leaves down the length of it to give it a lush feel. Dark red ones will make it look exotic or poisonous. Connecting multiples can get a bit tricky, depending on how tight you want the 'vines' secured.
  11. How about calling them Wraith Elves? I'd plan on making a character like that. I actually have him made, but haven't figured out his bio and race history. You want to run with the idea?
  12. Sdair Zuuree says, in his best speaking voice: The Nestlands Clans of the Armored Eagle Goddess are this day Kaliphlin. We have green in our mountains. We have great ales, brewed with knowledge passed down from our once northern ancestors. We have metals for weapons, jewels to adorn yourselves with, paints to color your homes (and yourselves), and many other items for trade. Visit Cobalt Vale. We hope you are here to witness the splendor when the Armored Eagle Goddess returns.
  13. Your builds are always outstanding. Two questions: Is this the same build that got blogged about over at TBB a couple of months ago? Have you been painting your TLG leaves?
  14. Actually, you don't if you don't participate in any of the challenges. Nocturnians get to pick their side for this civil war, anyone else who wishes to participate gets assigned a side. If you don't want your fig to pick a side (or the side you get assigned would be counter to your fig's character), you can create a new character for the challenge.
  15. There are flesh minifigs throughout Historica. The Nestlands Clans are predominately light flesh. Flesh and medium dark flesh have been seen in Kaliphlin as well. Mitgardia has some light flesh elves, and the Dark Isle in Avalonia has some light flesh people (Artorius Rex apparently went from yellow to kight flesh).
  16. I've seen that helmet used with one of the two versions of 'Plankton' (1x1 round brick), as a small cyclops. The 'Plankton' from Heroic Heroes of the Deep is harder to get on it's own than the other version. The other came in the first version of the Krusty Krab and the Chum Bucket. The HP Shrunken Head Pattern could work as well. I think the POTC Dutchman's Heart would make a nice and freaky 'face' to go under that helmet, too.
  17. If there are any of my GOH images you'd like to use, go ahead. I would recommend something from my NOMEA build.
  18. So these orcs are claiming The Fallen Angel depression? The Nocturnians from the Kelra Labyrinths might have something to say about that.
  19. What? Did the Nocturnians learn the secret of the Nestlands Clans' mountain cat pot pie?
  20. @Sir Jonathan I actually invented the Nestlands Clans of the Armored Eagle Goddess. I have multiple secondary characters, as my primary character is the guardsman to the Minister of External Affairs.
  21. @Louie le Brickvalier I hung out at the Classic Castle Forums long before I came to Eurobricks, so I too was exposed to LCC before GOH. The others are right, though, GOH came first. I was initially turned off this kind of cooperative story by LCC. Their restrictive system made me hesitant to join GOH, until I realized the great story arc potential and openness of GOH. Now I am a firm proponent of GOH.
  22. Sdair Zuuree by gedren_y, on Flickr Sdair Zuuree still guards Aturl Prndrn, Minister of External Affairs for the Nestlands Clans. The Nestlands Clans remain Kaliphlin. See for yourself that the standard still flies. Visit Cobalt Vale. Kaliphlin Standard by gedren_y, on Flickr
  23. Andrius Hierre by gedren_y, on Flickr Mitgardian shipping contractor Andrius Hierre offers his support to Drottin Manaor. His economic policies offer the greatest potential for Mitgardian growth and development.
  24. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Nice little scene.
