UoP DoH +1 on all credits. Wonderful job.
-
And it looks like the chameleon from Tangled made it into the Friends world. Given the parts it is a definite buy, though.

UoP DoH +1 on both claims. Don't forget to announce your claim in the UoP DoH thread, so your credit claims can be tracked.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
gedren_y replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
IMDb has as the production companies, Platinum Dunes, Gama Entertainment Partners, and Nickelodeon Movies in that order. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird still retain writers credits as the original creators. Will Arnett is in both this movie and the Lego Movie. My biggest hope for a movie character fig is Bernadette Thompson played by Whoopi Goldberg. -
Terabyte's helmet looked a little like a modified version of the Mola Ram helmet from Indiana Jones. The ball hinges on the truck look too large to be the new piece, but rather seem to be the more like the older ball hitch version. Yes, much of the logic behind these villains is ridiculous, but remember these are basically cartoons. I likely won't get the large HQ truck as I don't usually do modern(ish) vehicles, but I may pick up some of the figures and parts.

Yes, and as one of the original Guardians of the Galaxy he is my only want out of this. If he doesn't have his classic blade hand, I know where to get an aftermarket piece to approximate it. Doesn't look like he'll have his classic outfit, though. Hopefully his fin is digital in the movie, so we could at least have that.

When you have an exclusive w/ purchase set/fig in your bag on the Lego website, if you click on it you will see a MSRP value. You can't actually purchase the set/fig because there is no 'add to bag' button on that page. I have enough in my bag right now to get the current w/ purchase exclusive, and it is valued at $4.99. What you may have seen was "A $5.99 value." About the Guardians of the Galaxy sets, the only info I read was someone reporting from the London Toy Fair, where there were no cameras allowed. Somehow they saw a small opening in the cover for the Guardians of the Galaxy, but only glimpsed a small portion of the sets before being rushed on. The only thing that could be discerned was a brick built Groot and a portion of a blue and yellow ship.

I'm with Kai and Ska, +1 for Life in Kaliphlin and Sideways Rocks. Just too little gradation for the Desert credit. A way to get more gradation out of your large dark tan plates is to set them at a shallow angle (15-30 degrees). It does have that American southwest feel to it, though. The 'gate' does look like those natural rock formations that are found in the American desert.

Which Nova is the fig we have? I know it's the Nova from the USM cartoon, but who is it under the mask? Is it the human Richard Rider, the Xandarian Rhomann Dev, the Shi'ar Malik Tarcel, or did someone else get the Nova Corps powers? In the prime Marvel universe, Richard Rider was the only Nova to be an Avenger, and that was only as part of the Secret Avengers. Steve Rogers wore the Nova helmet for a short time in that storyline. As soon as the AIM set comes out, we can add Taskmaster to the Avengers list, as he headed up the Fifty State Initiative during Dark Reign.

If you're counting exclusives, then you should add Spiderwoman to the Avengers list we have. Venom, along with Ares, Daken (Wolverine's son), Bullseye, Sentry and Norman Osborn were the Avengers during Dark Reign. Daken wore a darker, sleeveless variant of Wolverine's Alpha Flight costume, Bullseye wore the classic purple Hawkeye costume, Venom was pretending to be black suit Spider-man, and Norman Osborn wore the Iron Patriot variant of the Iron Man armor. Sentry and Ares were their usual look. They also had someone in the Ms. Marvel costume, but I forget who she was. Where was Green Arrow an exclusive? Also, don't forget the Captain Marvel exclusive. They may do Hawkman with the eagle Chima mask, but Hawkgirl's mask was flatter and wider. Also, in some storylines she is dead, or awaiting reincarnation. Michael Shanks was a particularly wonderful Hawkman on Smallville. I have a Cage #1 that I still leaf through, but I prefer his later Avengers look. In one of the Avengers comics he laughs at his old look.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Here's my sig-fig again. Sdair Zuuree by gedren_y, on Flickr I have a bunch of secondary and tertiary characters, but I think I'll wait for most of them. Here is the Minister of External Affairs Aturl Prndrn, the man who Sdair Zuuree guards. Minister of External Affairs Aturl Prndrn by gedren_y, on Flickr I wanted to also congratulate Gabe on his Front Page again. I did so already on the thread for the build that got it. -
I, too, have been checking this out on Flickr, and have been amazed. Gotta give you congrats now because you've been Front Paged!

IIRC, Powerman, as Luke Cage, was an Avenger before Spider-man officially joined the team. but was less active in the Avengers comic. The version we got is from the USM cartoon which makes him what, a junior member of the Ultimates? I don't even get the cartoon here, and I'm disappointed with what they did with his character. The fig being based on the cartoon only makes me want him for parts. This Martian Manhunter fig as a freebie w/ $75 purchase is a want not because I'm into DC in any way, but for GOH.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
gedren_y replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
About the top posters in the old thread, I started GOH late. As for actual builds, my build time and space is limited because every time I build I have to take out and then re-pack all my Lego. Some of my builds have to be reworked or repurposed, but in the coming month I should have some good things done. Anti-Climax will be in multiple parts, so there could be a Nestlands freebuild explosion once I get the story ironed out. Here's a little teaser about the look of my freebuilds . . . Duplo. -
There is already a video review in this thread. just2good's posted it.

@ TheUtilityBelt32: MS Paint is how I created my map of the Nestlands. It took mere minutes to create. @ Gabe: The undead jokes were my fault, but the idea that there were zombies in Lost Vega belongs to NM. I'll do some investigation on the UoP front today. Saw some of the Brickvention pics on your Flickr page. Looked like fun. ---------------- On a side note, I'll be at the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire this Saturday, and hopefully will come back with some ideas for GoH builds. -

I always thought of Lost Vega as being located somewhere between Petraea and Qarkyr. Somewhere east of the Lick of Salt, but northwest of Kek'baan Al-Thir. The exact location requires knowledge of the Parched Lands, and most 'guides' will make the trip overly complicated to disguise its location. -

Lord Vladivus, some zombies were seen distracting a few Mountain Mummies during the construction of the new casino in Lost Vega. One of them lost a hand at the tables and was looking to replace it.
