  1. How about Hartlepool? If you don't read Get Fuzzy, or know your Napoleonic wars era England, you won't get this.
  2. I intend to get the Spider-man trike set for parts. I am particularly glad that the sticker is trans-clear, because I wanted to use it in an MOC on a different color.
  3. I got that one last year. I have two of the fig because I bought the set as well. I'm betting those were over produced.
  4. Orient Expedition was a branch of the Adventurers line. It was a sort of knock-off Indiana Jones at the time. 1920s archaeology adventures. I never saw any of these in any of my local Lego retailers. I don't know if they were even available in the US market. I'd love a Chinese theme. Greater diversity in Lego Castle is always a big hope.
  5. Sorry, but the March $75 exclusive is DC's Martian Manhunter. If they had a Chima exclusive for March, it likely would have been one of the Outlands figures, as they are the spring wave.
  6. I was a little iffy on the forced perspective, but I'll give you a +1 for it. Mainly because all you really would need to do is change the angle of the shot to line up with the fig's line of sight, and get your image focused on the fig.
  7. DC and Marvel are separate licenses, but the information we get about one often comes with information about the other. Some problems arise when the comic rivalry sets in. It becomes less about the actual Lego sets/figs presented, and more about comic/show fans arguing about what should be represented. We have a couple dream/wants threads. I initially thought that splitting the licenses up would be a good thing, but upon further consideration I believe that the thread should stay as it is. We just have to be mindful of how we share our opinions, and respond to others'. -------------------- About the banner; yes, it is time to update it. Someone suggested a rotating banner. I think that might be the best way to represent all the licenses covered in this forum, past and present.
  8. A few DoH credit claims haven't been added to the actual thread. As to the elf ear thing, I was just trying to give tips on finding good volume parts value on Bricklink. Yes, the ear parts themselves are quite expensive. Hoods, more ornate headdresses, and ear covering hairpieces coupled with elven-like heads are probably the more economic way to go.
  9. I'm with Gideon and Kayne. +1 for the Countryside Scene, but the sideways rocks doesn't meet requirements. A brick-built creature credit would be given, if you ask.
  10. It is quite easy to find out the best places on Bricklink for volume amounts of elf ear headpieces. Find the part you want, look at the listings, narrow the search to your country or continent, then change the sort by to Highest Qty. Comparison shop, and look for volume deals. You will have to be prepared to spend some money to get them, as most price between $2 and $4 apiece.
  11. UoP DoH +1 on both credits, as always. Any more parts?
  12. It is possible that the photographer wasn't supposed (or allowed) to take pictures of the GOTG sets, and it looks like all the upcoming Marvel sets were placed together (other than the Juniors set).
  13. If we do get any version of Yondu, we can add him to the list of Avengers, as the original cast of Guardians were given Avenger status during one of their time-travel storylines. Yondu is actually from the 31st century, in an alternate future. I haven't kept up with the mainline Marvel Universe Guardians, but I know they were founded by Star Lord.
  14. The problem with the USM cartoon is that it is supposed to be based on the Ultimate Spider-man comics, but it looses a lot of the moody feel of the comics. The show portrays the characters more like the Marvel Adventures comics, which is marketed at the same age group. These sets seem to be intended for that age group. The figs in the AIM Lab set seem to be pulled directly from the Marvel Adventures line.
  15. Something based on the classic 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West would be awesome.
  16. The small set Penguin is all about the torso, which does resemble the coat that DeVito wears when he goes to the hall of records in that movie. He claims to be Oswald Cobblepot. I also have an idea of how to make Christopher Walken's character Max Shreck (important in the film). To do justice to Pfeiffer's Catwoman, though, would require a mask print and a new head topper mold for the cat ears. Doable, but where else could Lego use that kind of mold? Marvel's T'challa (Black Panther)? I've read that the Jack Nicholson Joker look was based off of the Killing Joke. The Batman in the small Penguin set, I have a non-DC use for. Minus the cowl. As to Batman Beyond, if they do it, there you could end up getting dozens of different Jokers, as there are a number of Joker gangs in that storyline. I'd like to get the 10,000 Laughs Joker King. That was an awesome look. And old Bruce Wayne as his childhood hero, the Grey Ghost.
  17. I'm liking these villains, and hopefully the new parts will eventually make it into a retro Flash Gordon style Space line. I hope Infearno's helmet gets included in the next LDD update.
  18. I, too, like the Penguin in the small set. He makes a good stand in for the Danny DeVito role. The Joker in the Steamroller set is a good Jack Nicholson variant, the set being based on the comic that the first Keaton Batman movie was based on. Now if we could only get the Michelle Pfeiffer variant of the Catwoman suit, I'd be happy. She's my favorite, because she was completely psychotic.
  19. If we get Galactus, we will probably get him with his most notable herald, Silver Surfer. Most likely the minifig statuette will be a stand-in, given the scale difference. I would much prefer the early Guardians of the Galaxy herald, Fire Lord. He was a Guardian before he became herald. The comics I am referring to, though, are part of an aborted future timeline in which Vance Astro did not become a hero on Earth before becoming Guardian of the Galaxy. The Rambo-looking Major Victory or the adamantium suit Major Vance Astro carrying the Captain America shield will likely never be made. Lego has the parts to create the Sorcerer Supreme Krugarr, but that's very unlikely as well.
  20. "Here we are, born to be kings. We're the princes of the universe." More pics please.
  21. UoP DoH +1 for all credits. Another great module. Can't wait to see the whole thing together.
  22. No invasion. But the Kaliphlin also have the grand ships of Dextrus Flagg. Our great guild leader has at least two of these. One outfitted for war.
  23. UoP DoH +1 for both credits.
  24. UoP DoH +1 for all credits. Good to see a Kaliphlin captain getting some good trading done in Varlyrio.
  25. I spent most of today on Anti-Climax: Nestlands Market. It took some time to work out the diagonal connecting sections, and to make them symmetrical. The main facade is already wider than the 48x48 baseplate being used.
