  1. I don't apply stickers, sorry. Fabulous designs, but I hate how they feel and look (the texture).
  2. It was my first army build as well. It's a shame they never got a printed shield, in my opinion.
  3. The Galaxy Viper is a small, agile and stealthy aerospace craft. This one has been modified to tailor to the needs of the Galactic Law Enforcement Force. Previous iterations:
  4. Yes, it's been far too long! This year I've been in the sci-fi mood for most of the time. I'm starting to get back into building medieval fantasy stuff, but I'll be trying to handle some unfinished business of my guild before fully committing to my personal saga again.
  5. Interesting build, interesting story, and acceptable photography. The surging mass of water is done really well! The twigs riding the wave instantly add a sense of motion! Your SNOT experiment is very succesful I'd say, I even wish you would have done it for the left side as well, so that the river bed would be easier distinguished from the rest of the ground. I do agree that the loose stalks are not the most convincing. Overall I think the vegetation could have been a little denser, but the plants by themself look good. The story is a bit bizarre, quirky, unpredictable.. I liked it! Keep up the good work!
  6. All four of them?? Wow, I'm pretty good. I'm pleased with the various bright recolours of existing hairpieces! And the newly introduced ones are welcome too, like the detective hat-hair combo.
  7. Great texture on the tan brick wall! And the drone hovering over the shed is just otherworldly, love the construction of the optical sensor!
  8. This is cool stuff, nice level of detail on your buildings, lively scene too. You have some very nice figure combos as well!
  9. Solid work! Very effective use of the relatively new 1x1 round plate with bar in the chandeliers!
  10. A very lively small build once again with many details to discover! Great shots and the story made me grin from the beginning till the end!
  11. Did somebody say... magic show? As I've said earlier on Flickr, you've improved so much in the department of photography skills! I have to agree: the shot from inside the hallway is sweet! The arches from differently sloped roof tiles placed sideways look good. The most remarkable detail in this build is definitely the chained ninja statue, there's something very mysterious about it. Great writing too, there's a lot of character in the conversation between Hylena and Dervin. Honestly, there's nothing in the Guilds that awakens my excitement quite like preludes do!
  12. The Apocalypseburg set is really cool, and I'm glad the location and citizens get covered extensively! Superb figure designs, they look.. how should I word it... super tough! The Statue of Liberty (most notably the shoulder and arm) seems to rely quite a bit on large specialized parts for its shaping, which contrasts with the finer, denser builds of the living containers. Anyway, what's really impressive is how the set appears to have an overall non-rectangular grid, closed up (complete and displayable) for the full 360 degrees, while also providing interior and connectivity of the levels from ground to top. I don't know if this was mentioned already, but the barbed wire is back (look next to the cloth curtain), for the first time since 2010!
  13. Let me nitpick even more by pointing out the fact that the theme had robots as early as 2003, for the record: 15 years ago! Quite a long while if you ask me... Anyway, it's really cool to see these Classic Space sets, and the introduction of a pink spaceman. Let's hope TLM2 has a larger CS set in pipeline, one space base with monorail is all I'm asking.
  14. Really? I'm hoping for the palace from Aladdin.
  15. I'm bummed to find out the Monastery doesn't have window/wall pane decorations for the main tower are stickers. The rest of the entire set is nothing short off splendid, but I'm afraid leaving those stickers off as usual will greatly detract from the overall look. As far as the other sets are concerned, I think the updated Earth Driller, Storm Fighter and Ultradragon are all fantastic and great improvements over their predecessors. Never really cared for the Golden Dragon, but I like the updated head mould. Kai's bike looks more sleek, Zane's bike is less cool and icy than it originally was, in my opinion. The samurai mech is meh to me. Love the little dojo training set, with the detailed corner (hope that 2x4 is a print!), dummy, Samurai X armour and the blade pack in gold, awesome! Perhaps what I'm most curious and excited about are the spinjitzu sets, to my own surprise. They hit my nostalgia nerve just right! They are essentially what Ninjago was all about when the theme launched, and what we basically never got in brick form but knew very well from the show: the spinjitzu tornadoes. I think they are done well with these sets, especially Wu's and Garmadon's, plus there are some nice accessory add-ons. I'm really interested to find out how well they combine with the 'spinner stick', it looks like a lot of fun! About the minifigs: there's a lot to like. In the past I have expressed my dissatisfaction with the insignias that the ninja got in TLNM and then in the SoG wave as well. Hence, I feel obliged to celebrate the return of their pseudo-kanji insignias (and I genuinely do!). The ninja's designs also feel less <insert that tiresome argument> than those of last last wave, which gives me hope for the future. The updated villains are a mixed bag. I like the Skullkin re-designs of the heads, which are more versatile and have better proportions than before, and the shoulder armour is really neat. I do miss the booted legs, not sure why those couldn't have been included instead of 'barefoot' skeleton legs. The Overlord is a nice figure, but a big mess when it comes to show accuracy, I wish it looked more like his 'draconoid' form, before becoming a full-fledged Dragon of Darkness. Anyway, I have the original figure, so it's not a huge deal for me. Not interested in the Venomary Serpentine here. The stone warriors are great though, the designs are even a bit more detailed and I like the introduction of a warrior with green facial markings! I see a lot of opportunities for a summer expansion of this Legacy wave, but I think I talked enough for now..
  16. Only four missing, wow! Allow me to venture a guess, for fun! I say: the classic pigtails, Two-face's non-printed hair, Dr D. Zaster's hair and Gandalf the White's hair. I use white hairpieces for my sigfig and his family in EB's Guilds of Historica. By now I have an alternate hairstyle for each of them. Beyond that as you said, it's useful to have them for old people, or for white statues. Glad to help, but it's also in my own interest since I've found myself collecting hairpieces more and more... Oh Mac software, why must you be so impractical? (Un)fortunately, I have no experience with Macs. I thought of the photo viewer and editor tool that I have, Fastone Image Viewer, where you can arrange and sort your photo's in however order you want, but it appears that one isn't available for Mac either... Maybe pose that question at Ask Reddit?
  17. Just something that came to mind: how come @Kai NRGNRG's awesome Guild collages were never integrated in the introductory posts of our Guild discussion & sign-up threads?
  18. @LEGO_Knight12 Hands down the most impressive orc army display I've ever seen! Not just a great and diverse army, but the irregular positioning of the ships makes for a very dynamic scene. Love it!
  19. @cebelicamya As requested some time ago, my collection of white hairpieces: There are still 17 hairpieces released so far that I don't have yet, not including the one from Soldier 76 (Overwatch 2019). I noticed Teen Wu's hair (see https://brickset.com/minifigs/njo467) is missing from the list at page 11. It is a recolour of TLNM's Cole hair.
  20. Thank you!
  21. Jup, and even better: it was cheap! Only 21 cents! If you were only interested in Ninjago torso's, then it shouldn't be hard: Open 2018 sets list of Ninjago on Brickset in a separate tab. Plug in the set numbers into B&P. Do some scrolling and find the torsos you need. Alternatively, you could search by element 76382, which gives you the list of approximately all torsos (excluding CMF ones).
  22. Thanks, Kristel! I used UCS Snowspeeder cockpits for the skylight. Thank you! As said, the greenhouse is by BrickRebel though, not by me. Me too! I was really happy with how well both of our builds matched up.
  23. Somewhere in England, in a rather peculiar mansion, lives a rather wealthy gentleman with a passion for plants... I didn't feel like writing an elaborate backstory. This creation was built specifically for a collaborative steampunk display at LEGO World Utrecht 2018, see the pictures below. I'm not a big fan of steampunk so I decided to build something that would fit in with Victorian/Renaissance/steampunk spirit. This was my first attempt at the genre, as well as my first attempt at building a modular. The building breaks apart in three sections of 32x32 studs. I was ambitious and tried to do an interior for the first and second floor of the house section, but ultimately ran out of time to work it out. Moreover, I didn't have the pieces to make the floors and roof come off easily, so it's far from a true modular. Nevertheless, I'm happy with how the exterior turned out; it was a great practice in building architectural features. Pics of the collab: (Botanic greenhouse by BrickRebel) That's it, thanks for looking! C&C appreciated!
  24. Absolutely agree! Without this I would maybe not even have joined the Guilds. It can be a challenge to scrap the parts together for certain factions, but that makes army building all the more satisfying.
