  1. News: The promo for 2016 issue 5 of the Ninjago magazine is a pretty neat looking phoenix build! (though I'd personally only consider buying it if it had a cool minifig)
  2. Good ideas! I also prefer having a few studs to put my minifigs on rather than having a completely smooth surface, btw. Another suggestion: the front of the stage could use some extra texture, imo, to give it that framework look, like you did with the beams. Cheers!
  3. That thing is bonkers!!! Hilarious overkill!
  4. The stage with lights and boxes and the instruments too are quite nice! I'd suggest using some more tiles to smoothen the stage and also for making a colour pattern background. A few more small or coloured spots from different angles for extra detail, maybe? ...
  5. Looking at the source material, I think you did fairly well with your representation, at this scale. Good job!
  6. I am not familiar with the source material, but you did a great job of guiding me through. The glasswork looks fantastic and all those gears give it a great mechanic/steampunk atmosphere! Good luck with your project and keep up the good work!
  7. I saw a box of them on the counter at Toys"R"Us in Rotterdam, isolated from the LEGO part of the store. So yeah, really no opportunity for me to feel them out. Maybe they are in high demand in the Netherlands as well, since they kept them there? I'll check my local toy store some time soon then. Gotta get my hands on Syndrome, Malificent and Ursala!
  8. That's me! But, don't get me wrong, I do like getting pirate ships with the added oriental vibe. So, my summarized thoughts on the 'sets vs. show dragons' matter: 1. Set quality and building experience of the Ninjago dragons have greatly improved over the years. 2. The NRG dragons in the sets are a lot less consistent in style compared to each other. 3. The NRG dragons in the sets are a less accurate with regards to the show in comparison with the Elemental dragons. 4. If TLG would stick to the style/size of Lloyd's NRG dragon, that would be so nice... I'd like to get back on topic, but there isn't much to discuss right now, is there?
  9. So... is this the hero we need or the hero we deserve? Actually, it's a little too lighthearted to my taste, but it does serve as a friendly reminder that I should start a GoH build as well.
  10. I've got to admit that I misjudged the Volcano Exploration Truck (and probably the rest of the volcano subtheme); it's a pretty cool set with quite a few nice pieces!
  11. Well, I don't think it's appropriate in this thread, indeed, it's more like a figbarf. I really like the turban with Genie's plume. I should post an army here, sometime. I have something in mind for a GoH army
  12. I gotta agree: that trunk design is amazing and you topped it up perfectly with those 2x2 rounds in Dark Orange! The rest of the terrain is also very neat those rocks and the dark green in between. Furthermore: a beautiful ATV-trike and great posing!
  13. I know it will release, I was talking about the exclusivity of the minifigs, which isn't certain yet.
  14. Let's get back to discussing B&P, shall we?
  15. As long as there is no info on the ABG set, that isn't certain. It might even be worth waiting for info on what the winter wave will bring, if you're on a tight budget.
  16. Thanks for the announcement! I will see if I can cook up an entry. What are you waiting for? Just... DO IT!
  17. True, but it was available via B&P not so long ago. I got three, I love them! They look great on every Wu variant (or any other white-robed figure, actually). So, what figs are you guys most hyped for? For me: Good guy side: 'ghost potential' Cole Bad guy side: Sensei Yang
  18. Thanks for the tip, Pythor's eyes are red of course, but otherwise a perfect purist solution
  19. Wait.. A penguin suit guy and a animal penguin in the same series!?
  20. He should have been in the Kryptarium Prison set instead of the generic guard. I actually like that there is much minifig overlap for the summer Skybound sets, since I only have the Raid Zeppelin and with the NRG dragon and Lighthouse I can complete both the ninja side and the villain side, except for Dogshank (who I don't really care for).
  21. What was the rumoured price again, somewhere in the.. Master Wu Dragon range, perhaps? I wonder whether it will be part of the Skybound or the Rise of the Villains wave. I'd say Skybound, since the set ratio Skybound:RotV is 3:5 . If that is true, I would expect it to be a piece of mostly dark tan terrain with New Djinjago (ariabian-like) bits of architecture, maybe a small oriental building as well. And a healthy dose of uncommon characters! The thing is: apart from the ToA, there is nothing really 'Airjitzu' about New Djinjago in the show...
  22. That looks pretty believable, but I would rather see the return of the armoured arabian knight, like the Prince of Persia one:
  23. When I first saw that cockpit it actually immediately reminded me of your craft with the Ultra Dragon head! About those trading cards: they're all stickers, correct?
  24. Could be old news, but virtually all of the printed pieces from the Simpson Kwik-E-Market are available! Too bad I'm not a Simpsons collector, though
  25. I hoped there was news when seeing there was a new post here...
