it could be that there is an upcoming expert train that we just don't know now. 60098 was also a 'surprise' set that we didn't really know. plus with the fact that we are talking about the next year and we can only 'hope' for a new expert train now.

nice! i don't think it would be narrow gauge tho. i think that would make the price higher if it would have those narrow gauge curves so i think it will be on tires.
-
its understandable tho. I also dislike the HE because of its colour. it fits the prototype but is imo to light. I think yellow like the TGV 'La Poste' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNCF_TGV_La_Poste) looks better, but maybe that is because I prefer yellow trains and the length also doesn't fit. making it longer would not be needed but just a little bit lower. I generally build my high speed trains in 4 high without the roof. but that is just my opinion. the short coaches do give it a 'more' LEGO feeling.

Hi guys, I'm currently working on a train on tires that uses the chassis of a tank but i have a few problems. one is that the train is 6 studs wide and creates almost no space for the 2 M motors and the other is that this is my first RC project and i have zero experience with tanks or RC in general. i think squeezing in the parts won't be a real problem but wheels... the locomotive only uses tires so no caterpillar tracks and I'm worried that eleven gears next to each other will stress the motor and give a lot of friction... the best way could be using bigger wheels but then it would be more like a monstertruck than a train. I think that using unpowered tires will be a problem when doing 360º turns. if I'm doing it that way I could maybe place the motors between the tires but I'm not sure about that. and do i need multiple receiver to control the motors independently? if someone has pictures of a extremely compact tank design or give me some advice, please comment!

(I'm not an moderator so please tell me if I should leave this to others) this is a pretty old topic and according to the guidelines reviving such old topics isn't aloud here?! I don't think most people look at postdates (I also never did untill i started to accidentally revive topics) and i thought this was a new topic as wel.

why sort LEGO? i sorted it one time but after around a month... I simply store my LEGO in a LOT of small boxes. sometimes I'm planning to sort my LEGO. i started with minifigures and train tracks. the only problem is that i have around 500.000 lego pieces. maybe it is to late for sorting

wonderful! Is that cable for the elevator? please show us more of the elevator! I'm curious.

yeah new couplings would be nice! maybe something like new couplings where you can just take the buffers of or some might be handy. or even using screws or some won't be a problem for me! i'm happy enough when I don't need to cut the newer couplings. A new Expert train would definitely be nice! sadly I missed the Emerald Night, Maersk and the Horizon Express so I hope the next one will be something cool! maybe some shunter or a tank engine? or just a new battery box that is smaller. surely it doesn't need to be so big?
-
why do I think the party train would be some generic small tender locomotive or something like the holiday train. I'm very curious for this set.
-
depends what you want. used sets can have missing parts but most sets have all the parts, at least used sets that i have. i would wait and get both used. for a new theme it's always handier to have multiple sets.

I'm very curious about that ambulance plane. I'm wondering what that would be? I only saw one classic plane and it appears to be never released. i don't even think those things even exist. maybe in some extreme places but here in Holland, nope. and I like vans so something like a van & caravan could be nice! but again new fire trucks?! what do they expect. we make more fire trucks because we can? i don't have many myself so I don't mind some extras. but looking at how many were released I think LEGO expects us to have more fires then people...

[MOC] 8 Wide Train cars (Intermodal, Box, Flat)
THERIZE replied to supertruper1988's topic in LEGO Train Tech
cool! but are those colors realistic? for me some appear to don't match well. -
i think the jury accidentally put yours on 4th instead of first. (No offence to the top 3 build designers.) it is definitely one of the best LEGO houses i have ever seen! very modern and i would love to see houses like this in real life (if they aren't build already). where did you get your inspiration from? i mean not the idea of your design but the output with the black garage? that hangs above the parking spot.

cool! i think making a bridge like this will be a problem when you make a ship with this design as minifigures are well, small (or fat, how you see it). so your ship will look more like a cruise ship then a ship in your reference pictures when looking at size. but good luck! I'm sure it wil look cool!

i think so, the 1x2 'rocking' bricks are not made in white and black mixed i think.
-
very cool! i like the front of the locomotive, it reminds of the 'toads' from mario...
-
that second locomotive that looks extremely cool! lets hope real life trains will get to those designs!
