Brethren of the Brick Seas Poll
blackdeathgr replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Going forward is a good step. I voted for bluecoats as i have some older and new ones alike and i am waiting for some more to come. I could easily go for redcoats too, as for each bluecoat i got, a red torso is sitting on my storage cases. Or shall i become a pirate? :P Aaah, the endless dilemmas of life.. I will focus on smaller outposts and battles of the oars though, as i am short at the moment in appropriate white pieces and masts for ships -
Uruk polybags... I hate you up there!! Anyway, i too opted for Moria orcs. Uruks closely second

Hi guys! As i have just started researching the various armies of 1700s-1800s, can we sum up what bluecoats and redcoats with or without their blue/red/yellow/white epaulets and tricorn/tall hat (i cant remember the exact english word) can possibly depict regarding nationalities and specific corps (e.g. english marines etc) ? This would really help me and others i guess if we can sum things up. Thanks in advance

Don't hang the pirates! Pirates are good people! Very nice old style MOC! I like the buildings in particular and the nostalgic feeling of the whole presentation. If i were you, i would try to break the symmetry of the coastline a bit so as not to be a straight line (add some "sand" tan plates that is) and try building the pier with brown tiles as some medieval builders do. I also feel you on the lack of blue baseplates... PS: I love your balcony/veranda and its (grass/tree?) view!! An inspiring place to MOC

Kill the squids! Bring in the imperial soldiers! Why mix 2 themes when you can mix 3?? Argh!! Seriously imaginative and both tower and spaceship really well built!

LOL! I was about to write the same: 10210 doesn't have paper sails :P And on the topic, this MOC is really nice. Especially its stern, curves and colors.

Hehehe, very nice MOC and even better photography! Le the post-apocalyptic era begin!

Nice trading vessel you got there. Upon inspecting the original ship, i cant stop but notice the looong road they took to attach the horizontal mast... see how many pieces they needed :P Regarding trade vessels for our beloved pirates to feast upon, as soon as i stop fearing that my wrecker cat will destroy/dismantle IFS sails and minifigs, i will put it out of the box and MOD it as a big trade vessel. Then (or sooner) we can make a forum competition/poll of matching pirate ships against trading ships (or military ships or even pirate ones for lack of all the rest) for the dwellers of the forum to vote. Something like A or B will win certain imaginary duels? Wouldn't that be interesting Cpt Braunsfeld?

More badass than the original. I like it! -
What other pirate movie franchise could Pirate sets be based on?
blackdeathgr replied to Mazin's topic in LEGO Pirates
Black sails is nice. Would be way better if it didnt dabble that much with the perpetuous esoterical search of each protagonist's sexual orientation... Nevertheless a nice background for pirate afol inspiration -
This ship, both early version and latter one, are one of the nicest around. Your up to the point pictures, elegant simplicity and all black and brown colours is what makes me to try emulate it in the future... I hope you dont mind pirating this stuff

Jawdropping awesomeness... the rocks, the flora, the sea around, the superb circular battlements that encompass the rocks, the small little details like hidden doors and stuff and above all the magnificent central kaliphlin tower. It all tie in fascinatingly!! Congratulations
