i have designed a new cab, it has the same spaces for the IR receivers and M motor as my previous version, but this one has 3 seats, the holes in the roof are now closed and also has a new design, has working doors and the whole cab is 2 studs wider: The LXF file: http://bricksafe.com/files/imanol/unimog/cab-2.0/unimog%20u400%208110%20cab%20v2.lxf Credits to Efferman for the idea to make the cab wider: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57543&st=50#entry1038236 and Kumbbl for his working doors design: http://bricksafe.com/pages/Kumbbl/MODs/8110%20Unimog/Enhancing%20the%20Unimog%20-%20New%20features/Openable%20doors

That is really nice Paul, it looks just like a real unimog, i am now imagining the outriggers with 42043 gear racks, it would look amazing, but it already seems really good.

Axle Collection Thread
Imanol BB replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi again, look at the axle that Madoca designed for his modded version of the Rm8´s Toyota http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=130679entry2540842 , i think it is really amazing and clever. I also was trying to make it in LDD, i will post the file later. -
They look really nice, both them have really good details, nice work.

Very nice creation Madoca, i really like your axle designs, the gearing down and how compact and strong they are is very impressive, i cant wait to see the instructions, and also, i am wondering, how would they look with 3rd party tires.

Hi all, after some time watching videos of unimogs in the agricultural industry, i thought it would be nice to make a 3 point hitch like device, and after some experiments i made a good one, it is made to be easily attached to the vehicle, it also has the same shape of the hitching point of the unimog and the PTO, so it can hold the same attachments: The LDD model: And the real (ugly) model: It is able to hold the attachments: The winch: And the crane: The complete lifting movement is about 5,5 studs: As you can see, it has an small inclination, it is visible with small attachments (like the winch), but with heavy ones (like the crane), the weight of the attachment will bend it and it will be completely horizontal: The LDD file: http://www.brickshel...hitch_point.lxf and http://bricksafe.com/files/imanol/unimog/hitching-point-attachment/unimog_u400_8110_hitch_point.lxf I hope you like it, see the full gallery here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=563902 and here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/imanol/unimog/hitching-point-attachment EDIT: i have started to upload images from bricksafe so i can make them smaller, thanks for the tip Jim.

Effe's MOC Corner
Imanol BB replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
it seems really nice, Effe. -
Hi Rotundus, i have seem some pics of that locomotive, and like you, i think an 8 wide Lego version would be great, something that is good about this locomotive is that the trucks have 4 wheels like the lego train motor, so there shouldnt be needed any custom-made truck to match it, and maybe, if it is enough short, the hitches could be in the chassis and not in the trucks, so it would have even better details; i would really like to see it made in real life, im looking forward if there are updates for this.

what i mean is that the train, or at least the wagons, would be a nice choice to build long trains without needing too many wagons, you can have less wagons but still have a longer train, so it would look much more real than the normal lego wagons that arent too big, and sadly, i dont have the pieces to build the train, but if in the future i build it, i will post it.

hello all, i saw this topic some time ago and i remembered that i had made a train in LDD which is pretty large, and i have decided to show it to you. I took a total of 11 separated parts, a normal locomotive, a some-kind-of living wagon for the engineers (i dont know the exactly name), a B unit locomotive and 8 normal flat wagons that i made; i made all these parts to be huge, but when i put them together (after my PC almost get freezed), i found that the whole train was 1132 studs long, what is about 29,7 feet or 9 meters long, so yes, it is pretty big and i hope you like it: The locomotive and the "living wagon": http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/mega-train/mega_train.png The B unit: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/mega-train/mega_train_b_locomotive.png The wagon: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/mega-train/mega_train_wagon.png And the whole train: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/mega-train/mega_train_completed.png I hope you like it, if there is people interested i may open a topic for it, thank you.

This car is exactly like the real one, all the details are awesome and i really like how you made the HOG steering with the spare wheel, nice work -
Very nice, this truck has really good details, and seems very robust and with a good scale, nice work.

The program is LEGO Digital Designer, you can download it in the officila site: http://ldd.lego.com/es-ar/ , also, that offroader seems really good, nice work again ZBLJ. -
Hi again, for a long time i have been working in LDD to design a complete RC unimog, i have put the portal hubs with the planetary rims on it, and almost all the mods i have done for it, it is not completed, but it will very soon, there might be some mistakes on it, i would like if someone has a chance to make it and test it, because i dont have all the parts and the motors, but i will get thems, here is a picture: and the LXF: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/unimog_complete_assembly.lxf Thanks, and Merry Christmas for all.

6x6 Chassis
Imanol BB replied to Sylvian's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This truck is really nice, i think you made an excellent work with all those details and the working functions, the fake motor has a lot of details, and it seems good so far and very capable for off road woth those XL motors, nice work. -
That happened to my too, like 6 years ago i got the 8264, it wasnt very big, but i was used to build mostly studed sets (city and creator), i saw that technic was a whole new level of engineering, and it was really hard to build it, i spent more than 3 days trying to build it, i made some mistakes and i needed to start over, but i finally built it like 5 days later, then i said "lets see if i can rebuild it faster", and i rebuilt it in just 1 day; and the same happened when i got the 8110, 2 years ago, i got impressed for the amount of pieces, the new parts, the shock absorbers, those big wheels, and i wanted to build it in just 1 day, so, i started, i had spent 8 hours, and i was just in the third book, so my dad started to help my too, we got some problems while building, because some pieces where in the wrng place, at the end, it took to us 1 day to build it, but now, im able to build it in just 1 hour, so, i must say that the experience has helped my a lot, for time saving and for building technics.

2 new trucks, this time, forestal firetrucks, they are based on the "Bulldog" offroad fire truck (video: ): Both have the same chassis design with my own designed fully working suspension; the red truck is a "tool transporter", it has an small place for tools and in the rear it has an RC robot for extreme danger situations: The yellow truck is a tanker truck: LXF: http://www.brickshel...cks/bulldog.lxf I hope you like them.
