  1. I think it would need the base to be wider to give enough space for them, but they would be very useful for a model of this size.
  2. It looks really cool, is really huge and so far has nice details, i am interested of which vehicles you will put in there.
  3. I have one question, has anyone started to make the 42054 in LDD?
  4. It looks very good, the double wheels, the boxes on the sides, the new lights, the bumper and the rim covers give a very realistic look and make it look robust, nice work Gabi. I have also made an RC mod for the chassis, very similar to what Carver did in his model, i will post some pics soon.
  5. Really?, i was looking for them some time ago, but they weren't available at that moment, i will look them now (and hope that the model is not too wrongly built), by the way, i also found that the problem with the scale wasn't the truck cab, because i made the scale calculations, and actually is the BWE cab which is almost twice the size it should be, it is supposed that the set is about 1:100 scale (based on the dimensions given in the model), and a human is about 2 to 2.5 studs high, so, another mod would be to resize the BWE cab, what do you think?
  6. For me, it seems to be painted, it seems a bit to have a rough texture, and the color seems like a bit opaque compared to the entire train.
  7. Don´t shoot it with a rocket, because it looks awesome, you did a great job putting that amount of details on it, even the steering wheel, i also like the virtual point steering, it looks very good.
  8. If you are interested, i made this model in LDD, here is the post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=138069entry2626460
  9. FINALLY, The Rock has come back to... no, wait a second, that´s not it, oh this is it, FINALLY, i have Finished the digital model of the BWE; it was a long and hard process, but now i see it was worth, and here it is: (Sorry for this big picture, but is to let you see all the details, i understand if the moderators want me to resize it, and i will do it if you want it) More images at my Bricksafe: http://bricksafe.com/pages/imanol/bwe LDD file: http://bricksafe.com...l/bwe/42055.lxf These are the missing parts: - 4 yellow curved panels that should be placed in the rear part of the superstructure (behind the battery box (i found them ) - 14 yellow curved gear racks - 8 yellow small buckets There might be some wrongly placed pieces (mostly pins), because there were parts of the building of the video that weren't very clear, but if you see a too big mistake, please let me know. Special Thanks to AustrianLegoFan for his speed build, which made this digital model possible: I hope you like it and have fun modding it.
  10. Hi Carver, welcome to Eurobricks, thank you for making those pictures and videos, is good to know that there is space for the L-motor, also, those other mods are really amazing, the chassis and the LA´s mods are great too, nice work. BTW, i found some videos of the 42055 and its building, so i will see if i can make it in LDD, excluding the non-available parts in LDD.
  11. I thought the same, first i thought like "No way, it might be pulled by a nylon string or something", and then i saw the IR receiver and the motors and i was like "Oh god, even that small truck is motorized", and talking about the truck, for me it seems like the official truck is a bit small, because when i compare the BWE cab with the truck cab, it seems that the BWE is far bigger, so i dont know if this is because the truck itself is not one of those huge trucks like a cat 797 and is just a medium sized one with a really small cab, what do you think?
  12. Hi, i found some more information about 4WD and AWD transmissions, the AWD is thought to give integral drive to all the wheels, but it cant be disconnected from any of the axles, because this, it uses a central differential to allow the slip between the axles while turning, this transmission is likely to be used mostly in sport vehicles and sedans for a better control in the road at high speeds, and the 4WD transmission is thought to be activated in certain situations when extra traction is required, it can be connected and disconnected from the axles, and it is mostly used in off road vehicles like some trucks, so we can say both have the same principle to give the highest traction, but have different working system and are thought to be used in different situations.
  13. This is a really cool MOD, you made an excellent work by putting all those functions and still keeping the original body, it looks great.
  14. That is really nice, is amazing how you make them be able to transform in such small scale, and they look really good, i like them, are you going to make other transformers?
  15. This is really nice, it might not be the biggest, or the best looking one, but those few functions it has are enough for it, the pull back function with the brake is very nice, it has enough details for its scale, and i really love that steering system, i knew about the principle of the virtual point steering, but the way you managed to control it is very amazing, you made an excellent work here.
  16. I just saw the video, and i am impressed that the vehicle is actually very strong and robust, the details are as well amazing, and those tires give a extreme off road look to it, again, nice work.
  17. It looks just like in the real life, this might be a good thing to add to the layouts, and what about tho replicate what happened in the Central Park?
  18. I think you made a very good work, i like many thing about it, the size is perfect, the details make it even more realistic, it is a really awesome creation.
  19. This is a really nice truck, all the functions work amazingly, the details are really great, nice creation.
  20. That would be very cool, and i think that if you put a Buwizz, it will have so much power that if you accelerate too much it will make a back flip, and if you make a ramp, it will fly (i am talking about the mini version).
  21. That is a nice system, the only problem would come with the size of the components, but it is still a good idea.
  22. It looks really promising, will you post pictures while building it?
