  1. now it seems like one of those heavy tow trucks, maybe you could try to do something like this:
  2. well, what i do is: i upload the LXF file to brickshelf (i dont know which other pages you can use), and then i put the URL of it, and that´s it, also, i have tryed to replicate your model but this time i put a simple steering system and a different suspension system, i will upload pictures when i think it seems enough good. EDIT: thanks for the file, i think i made the post a bit late ;)
  3. Actually, your design seems to be very good and you put those shock absorbers very well, it would only need some improvements to make the steering and the tilting of the wheels, but it would be a nice base to make a non-PF model, i also really like the scale of it, and if you can upload the LXF file it would be awesome, to see what can i invent, nice work.
  4. Hi, very nice work, your model looks like a concept front loader, like a mix between a front loader, a forklift, a forwarder and a mining truck, the functions are great, it seems that it can lift a reasonable weight; and to upload images you need to put thems in certain pages (i dont know all of them), like brickshelf or flickr, then click the buttom of the upper part that says "image", paste the URL of your image and thats it, however, you can ask to more experienced users or see the guidelines, good luck and nice work with your MOC. EDIT: i learned with this tutorial: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18451
  5. Hi, i think you made an excellent work to incorporate the arocs cabin to the truck, the color scheme you choose is very nice, instead of the standard yellow or black, also i like all the functions, the extendible platform its amazing, the fork works like a real vehicle and the winch is a nice detail, even when is not motorized, and congratulations for that great work you made to control all the functions with 1 motor; very nice truck.
  6. Very amazing creation, i really like the look of it, it seems you worked hard to make it look very realistic, and it worth it, nice creation, also, the chassis and suspension seem to be very good, i would like to see a picture of them.
  7. nice and clever use of pieces, this is one of the best looking cars i have seen, good job!!!
  8. Hi, i must say that those are very important and useful tips for any builder, i just got inspiration for new projects, and sure i would use these tips, nice video!!!
  9. i think you should try to lower the cab a bit, and put some axles on it and try to recreate a safety cage, and maybe, if there are enough pieces left, make a pendular suspension, but it seems very well designed, and full of functions, i like it.
  10. Nice teaser, i cant wait to see the video of the whole crane, nice work!!!
  11. Hi, very nice truck, again i am impressed on how well you made a working truck; keep making these awesome models!!!.
  12. it would be nice a heavy hauler truck like the tractomas, maybe at the scale of the 42043, with a crane, and a trailer, it could be also a nice set.
  13. this is the video of sariel´s crane
  14. i have used nylon strings in some cranes and heavy duty winches, and they have proven to work very well, they are strong, and its hard to stretch them, maybe you can test it, however, i think sariel made a big crane some time ago and he used fishing line, and i dont think it will stretch.
  15. Hi again, i have tried to make a "little" transmission for lager models, what i thought it wouldnt be too big, became in a extremely large transmission, only one axle has 2 XL motors, 5 turntables, and at least 4 large shock absorbers, and it is thought to have 4 third party tires, beacuse even the unimog´s tires seem too small, the transmission system is based in the creations of 2 expert builders (Efferman for his planetary rim and Jeff55 for the turntable portal hub, thanks to thems), but it is highly modified, the 2 XL motors are geared down 12:1, so, they will have enough torque, i hope you like this design, however, it was a quick design, any suggestions are greatly received: LXF: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/Belaz/belaz.lxf
  16. I think you will be the winner, until now that crane truck seems amazing, and the outrigger system reminds my the 42043 b model, and the size, the 4 xl motors, the suspension, everything its very clever, good luck in the contest .
  17. i have also designed a 6 studs wide truck with a rubber suspension: i will upload the LXF later, and yes, this is the mini-town version of the lego 42043.
  18. amazing vehicle, i also made some topics of my suspension ideas for town vehicles, sadly, looks like almost no one likes the vehicles, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113954&hl=%2Bmercedes+%2Bbenz and http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113367&hl=roading , and in case you want the instructions of some of them: http://ldd.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery?memberid=imanolberecibar
  19. well, you have made a nice work doing that, i hope that the people in lego town start to make more functional vehicles, with suspension, and vehicles like this model are exactly what i want, keep making those amzing trucks.
  20. Hi, i want to show you an axle idea, i came out with this when i saw jeff55682´s portal hubs of his unimog , they use turntables instead of rims and they also were very compact and has the same steering pivot point as the standard portal hubs, but i saw that they has a reduction of only 1:3, just like standard portal hub, so i decided to make a "improved" version of it by using Effes´s gear rims, now, the whole reduction is 1:12 and now it is less possible that an u joint, a 12t bevel gear or other drivetrain piece will get broken, i have made an example of this axle in LDD, and this model is compatible with the 8110 unimog, also this axle has a more stronger seering system, because, the standard one was to close of the pivot point and wasnt strong enough (for me), however you can put the standard one, i hope you like it, and if you can make it in real life to test if it works i will apreciate it and special thanks to jeff55682 and Efferman for their amazing designs:picture: and LXF: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/portal_hub.lxf
  21. nice vehicles, i really like thems and the suspension is the best thing of thems, have you tried to use rubber parts to have a fully working suspension?
  22. Hi, i must say that those trucks you have designed are very nice, the suspension system, the compact drivetrain, the planetary rims, the steering systems, are amazing, i just watched the kodiak truck, and i saw the suspension system, and it seems to be very strong and useful for other models; also, this topic gave me inspiration for some models, thank you.
  23. Hi, the truck seems very nice and strong, but what about to put planetary rims, so you wont break the u-joints or the 12t gears, also, it seems that it would be very capable in off roading.
  24. i mean a 8 wheeled truck (maybe not 8x8) with that kind of wheels, and maybe with some "agricultural" equipment.
