  1. Nice update, for me the cab looks really good, the hood maybe should have a little bit more inclination, but it is understandable for the scale of it; about the bumper, the design is perfect, you only need to put it one stud forward, you can see it in this pic: http://st.motortrend.com/uploads/sites/5/2013/03/Mercedes-Benz-Unimog-U4000-side-profile.jpg , and about the front axle, you should put reinforcements above the black parts on the sides, and maybe turn the wheels facing inside, so the bending effect is less, however, the overall look of it is amazing, is incredible how much details and functions you have achieved in a model of this scale.
  2. It looks really cool, the details are amazing and the functions work really good, i also really like the catcher design, it is brilliant, nice work.
  3. Hi again, has been a while since i have made some trucks, and after watching some other creations i have made an alternate scale of the Unimog u400, this version is 7 studs wide, with working suspension and able to hold other attachments, i hope you like it: LDD file: http://www.brickshel...og_u400_new.lxf EDIT: i almost forget this other one, this one is an Unimog u5000 for forest fire, as well, it is 7-studs wide with working suspension and front attaching point: And the LDD file: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/Trucks/forest_fire_unimog.lxf
  4. Very clever design, the details and stickers are really great, and i am impressed of how realistic it works, it drifts just like the real thing, nice work.
  5. I have made it many times with nylon, it is enough strong and i am used to attach it to bottom of the models by making a hole from above, it is important to attach the nylon to frame parts which will not fall or break, you can also tie the nylon to an screw or a bolt, so you only need to put it in a hole to make it easy to attach, also your idea of the beam should work.
  6. This topic is thought to be only for questions and experimentation for trains, because if it is tested in a train or there is someone with a question about its use on a train and not on a Technic model, it can be posted here instead of the Technic Forum.
  7. Hello, some time ago, there was made a new topic on the Technic Forum about a new Power Functions controller of high performance called BuWizz As you can see, its principle is similar to the SBrick, but the advantage is that it has a power supply inside, which makes it a very compact controller with the same size of the rechargeable battery, i made this topic to let you know about this nice product, and also, if some of you are available to get one as a test, let us see how it performs in trains, it is also a project in Kickstarter More information at: Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/973645257/buwizz-remote-control-for-lego-models Technic Topic http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=136273 BuWizz Page http://www.buwizz.com/
  8. It looks really good, the lights and the whole design gives to it a very nice futuristic look, nice work .
  9. Something like the front suspension of the 9392 motorbike could work?
  10. It is really amazing, looks fantastic, and the suspension is really nice and with very long travel.
  11. Thats really nice, at least he cleans more than many people i have met, also, that wall-e looks nice.
  12. It looks really good, it is very sad that there are not Lego tires that could look just like the railroad unimogs, the motorcycle tires are enough narrow, but the rims are too big, however, it is still a really good mod, i can also spot some really nice modifications that match perfectly the real thing, i would like to see more pics of the mog once finished (or maybe even a video)
  13. For me it is enough information to start, maybe you could use these if you have them: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4185c01#T=C good thing about them is that they are very narrow and has a cross axle hole, so they are easy to be powered and dont need too much space.
  14. You should use the ones which are circular... im just kidding , it all depends of the crane size, how big is it or it should be?
  15. This model is really nice, it is very detailed, i love the claw design, and i am also very impressed with the offroading capabilties, nice job.
  16. Those are really great news, i cant wait to see the whole chassis completed.
  17. I have only driven tractors, one of them was a normal one used for agriculture, and the other had a crane, it was more like a cherry picker, and in a very weird and lucky situation, i used a backhoe loader.
  18. You dont need only flexible axles, even normal cross axles work, you could also make the same suspension as ZBLJs Tatra using rods:
  19. What about if you use leaf spring suspension in the rear axles and the 9.5L ones in the front?
  20. Didumos69, there is a topic about the Swincar here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112917 i made some experiments trying to recreate its special suspension; i didnt went far because it was a bit hard to recreate, but the Wesll Leaning vehicle could be done, its suspension is really amazing.
  21. It looks really good and very robust
  22. I think that you could find some ideas here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60459&st=0
