Telescopic crawler crane
Jurss replied to mathieulego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think, this is really optimal solution. Overall nice creation. -
@AFOLegofan66 I like new battery system. It is easier to replace batteries. It would be even possible to create model, where You wouldn't even need to detach control box from model, just to easy access battery try and just remove it for battery replacement. Also, as we are hoping, maybe there will be rechargeable battery to fit in that compartment.

Servo ir really good, I think, and if i understand Your worries. It is strictly mechanically restricted, it is more like electronically restircted, but, as I understand, range of servo can differ, because system does calibration of that range by first run, and it is possible to recalibrate later from settings. So You can use this also for other car already now with the same application. Also to motors for propulsion needed.

[MOC] Rolls Royce Phantom (2018)
Jurss replied to Appie's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maybe just pictures are not good, maybe I wouldn't use bricks in windows at all for some cleaner view maybe try not to fill all the gaps with bricks or with some small panel, yes You filled gap, but somehow it doesn't improved look, but made even not so good. -
Looks really good, but video is a must for this.

[MOC] Rolls Royce Phantom (2018)
Jurss replied to Appie's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Somehow recognizable, but, I would say, not looking good. -
I'm building it now and, as I understand, in fact there are three modes possible, 1. Default - "fast" but poor climbing performance 2. Switch gears in one place (close to motors or in another place) - some mediocre mode - still some speed, but better climbing performance 3. Switch gears in both places - almost no speed but really good climbing perfomance. because of two possible places where by default is upgear

On one moc I just didn't put any link on differential side, just run axle directly in. As it also was sports car with small suspension travel, it worked pretty ok. I think, You need to take some picture and create MOC topic- 5,512 replies

Then in my MOC used solution could fit, as it offers turning point for wheels almost at center of the wheel.- 5,512 replies
